I also don't think 7 years is any sort of rush especially with what we got in the end which seems to be just scrapped together stuff from the earlier versions, covid was just the nail in the coffin.

I will say this is the first actual content I enjoyed. It’s a genuinely good quest, although it’s weird it actually kept me entertained and wanting to come back to do it again. Their stupid grind shit doesn’t have that, it’s just soulless. They should do content drops that just introduce more meaningful side quests.
This game had so many technical problems whenever it came out that it made it borderline unplayable. I stuck it out and finished the game but it almost single-handedly ruined my opinion of it. Now a few years later I'm genuinely considering revisiting it to hopefully get a better opinion! I'm happy they're going back and fixing it, But honestly it should have been like this at lunch considering it was a $75 game

Same here, i bought this game on sale for 40€ and at that moment it was still not worth the money. But unfortunately most of the things I loved from the first game a now there. My biggest disappointed where the physics and looks of the zombies. And they even changed that. The only thing I could wisch for now is a Be the zombie mode this would be fire but for now I am absolutely in love with the game right now. I can. It's definitely worth a try now
When I did my 2nd playthrough for new game plus to fix my Bloody Ties issue. I honestly thought I was tripping or something. I definitely felt something was off with both of these lol. we don't need to fix the current plot, we need the plot that was done for 7 years and which was safely thrown out, as Chris was thrown out of the studio because of offended girlfriends who decided to throw false accusations at the poor guy and I'm sure that that plot was much better and more mature than this ridiculous plot with the search for his sister and beating my own father, that's really, I initially liked this game 2 years ago, until I found out what conditions it was made in and found out how much the first part of dying light is 1000 times better than the 2nd, I felt sad for those people whose so many expectations about dying light 2 were in vain

they have already said that the story will not be changed, certainly some improvements with the cutscenes. But the story will always remain the same, so they said a few months after the game's release

I think the reason they removed the rope could’ve been for co op. Pretty sure in two playthroughs with a friend, we may have each fallen into the void because one got to the rope before the other.
I know it's probably not gonna happen, but a cyberpunk 2.0 style rework of the story would be amazing. Making everything darker and more like e3 would be amazing, hell, even rehiring Chris Avelone would work so so well!
They really need to revamp the city getting blown up, and the mission where you're dodging missile explosions. The missiles and explosions just look so bad and low quality.
I feel like we all knew techland would make this game great and I shouldn't be surprised but damn 2 years later i moght have to say this game is getting better than the first👀. Can't wait to see what the next 3 years bring

When they have already fixed the keyboard layout, they added reloading weapons to R, and R is also responsible for entering the trade, but if you change one of these values to change, then you will not set two more values to R. And also, if you assign Q to another action, then you will exit the control settings window due to the fact that Q is responsible for switching between tabs, it infuriates

I, who dreamed, waited for her playing the first part, which is just an imba because it has everything you need, but for some reason in the second they removed almost all the disguise and others, but now the developers saw that the game turned out to be not the same as everyone expected and decided to refine it, and of course I returned to it was it would be great to work on the plot and add more skills

I love this company with the amount of things they do and truly care about their community. I also like how they allow everyone who gives bounties to each have 2 weekly and 3 daily bounties active.
Honestly, the new cutscenes look awful. I liked the last ones better. Especially involving Sophie and Barney and Driscoll. The only improvement was the Waltz chase. But I wish they didn’t take away his dialogue during then.
I appreciate the effort that Techland has been putting into the game, graphically, cutscenes, gameplay, but I honestly just think Techland needs to rewrite DL2, the endings were severely underwhelming, and I hate how bland and generic the story feels, nothing like what we most likely could've had if they never fired Chris Avellone.

Hi, i encountered the same issue. Apparently since its an aberration (the replay ones) the encounter technically ends before it dies fully. I always used my bow on them and it didnt work. But if you make your last few attacks melee ones you will kill it before for instance ends, and it will pop. That worked for me yesterday, hope it will for you too! :)
what if they take like 4 months of development to have a separate story branch off, like, so the story doesn't rely on 3 choices the main story would be untouched, but those big "choices" that are present early game would actually have consequences ya? siding with survivors for the fullest control would let you infiltrate the remains of the citadel, yknow, the big thing base that got glazed over immediately, completing it would be challenging, but gives every survivor reward unlocked for every district of that part of villedor pk manhunters would be sent to capture you, and you can find special events like them interrogating and beating civilians, pk are underrated since most of their faction didn't want to be unjust, they wanted to protect people righteously, yet black Matt was like, nuh uh lazy writing go brr. and then they got turned on since apparently pk are bad and renegade are good marvel ahh storyboard instead, make a compliancy sub faction, where if you side with survivors on every area and do all pk related side quests, you can expose jack Matt as a fraudulent figure abusing power to get what he wants, make the pk actually good people, and have both survivors and peacekeepers working together, with no trash talk, since getting called a pk trash is bully behavior, and I may have overreacted a bit the easiest way to fix the story and choices isn't by redoing the game, it's actually branching off from the choices, which is considerably a lot easier to do, rather than shift backspacing every line of code and starting from scratch I went on a yapping spree buh
I downloaded it yesterday the other day and I've noticed I'm not getting sucker punched anymore , every single boss fight which was so cringy I think they took all the sucker punches out I feel bad about being so harsh in the past , I'm just irritated about things like everybody else
Damn I wanna start ng+ to see em for myself but then I’d have to go and get every safe places back and other little things and substations. I’m a little tired of going through open worlds once I’ve completed them just get every crucial little thing over and over again. Also the story isn’t perfect and at times annoying with the gameplay holding it up. I’ll definitely think on it.
I love the new cutscenes, but can they please work on fixing continuity errors as well? I really hate how Barney is beat to hell with wounds that could easily get infected, but then the next time we see him, his bruises are gone, the deep gashes on his arms have somehow already healed into scars, and the only thing Veronika is working on is the small cut on his forehead that also conveniently goes away afterwards. Barney should only look healed when we go back to the Bazaar to find Veronika during the second half of the game imo. I must say I also like the new cutscene for when Aiden is eavesdropping on Barney and Veronika though, it's still not very stealthy, but far better than before.
I don't see much youtube creators talkin about this, but the mission Missing Persons where you have to get Damien away from the ledge towards the end of the mission, Techland updated the scene and made it so Damien was hugging one of the pillars at the edge of the rooftop as he looked down to the ground below, which really added more immersion into the game than the old cutscene where he was just standing near the edge of the rooftop. Even when I had talked him off the rooftop, it was nerve-wrecking to watch Aiden drag Damien slowly off the edge with the new scene compared to the old one.
it's almost like the game had 2 less years of development went through hell had staff problems and was demanded by fans huh crazy but jokes aside i'm proud of techland for listening and sometimes bringing back some fan favorite mechanics and details
My thoughts exactly. Disappeared. Also never joins a quick game. So youvhave to grind morrreee. More time playing on the stats is what they really care about. Sorry but i still don't trust these guys
I just noticed that the gritty filters has been changed in new update. Before update the gritty filter looked like exactly e3 but after update it looks too gray and so much different 😥. I love the e3 color filter and they removed it. I don't like this change at all. I hope they bring it back.
Hey Ali, know im a bit late but i've been replaying through the story recently and i also noticed that they update The cutscene while talking w Aigor in the Fish eye and the final one with Rowe in the VNC tower, could be more but i only found these so far.
What I really wanted to see was some more to do with Aiden turning into a volatile. It’s essentially glorified cutscenes with lore that it’s tied to the inhibitors and the tests he went through. It would have made perfect sense to make it tied to some sort of activation in free roaming for collecting every inhibitor or something imo
I really hope that Techland fixes the bow and arrow because it has no effect on surfaces such as land and water, and also the arrows disappear most of the time. Also, there is something that bothers me very much in the game, when the player runs, he hides the weapon in his hand, unlike the first dying light it was not like this I wish. Just that they add an option for player to keep his weapon in his hand while running and not hide it. This is all I hope for from a game, but unfortunately I do not know how to convey my message to Techland.🙁
I wish they would start overhauling the story and sidequests. Because the story is kinda bad and rushed in some parts, for example Aiden being infected plays absolutely no part in the game whatsoever they explained the floatiness of his jumps by simply saying he is super infected because of Waltz but apart from Waltz boss fights and him jumping away from the silo at the end of the game its never explored further. Aiden getting bitten and having to wear that infection indicator is also forgoten in the story, its used only in dark places and night as a timer.
@@Snake_eyes0 not really. Most of thing i mentioned isnt here. Lighting is kinda inferior to e3 and 2021 version. Sky is still static, flashlight is static and doesnt show shadow, sfx is still bad and unpleasant, physics are still anim relied, blood is still static.

They need to can these survivor missions as 3 of them over and over again for hardly any RP is taking the absolute piss. Give with one hand take away with the other. Gameplay loop and fun is what keeps players playing and coming back. Not this style of boring grind.

I appreciate the effort that Techland has been putting into the game, graphically, cutscenes, gameplay, but I honestly just think Techland needs to rewrite DL2, the endings were severely underwhelming, and I hate how bland and generic the story feels, nothing like what we most likely could've had if they never fired Chris Avellone.

Hi, i encountered the same issue. Apparently since its an aberration (the replay ones) the encounter technically ends before it dies fully. I always used my bow on them and it didnt work. But if you make your last few attacks melee ones you will kill it before for instance ends, and it will pop. That worked for me yesterday, hope it will for you too! :)
Yeah we severely need more of the cutscene exchanged but it's good that they're changing them
what if they take like 4 months of development to have a separate story branch off, like, so the story doesn't rely on 3 choices
the main story would be untouched, but those big "choices" that are present early game would actually have consequences ya?
siding with survivors for the fullest control would let you infiltrate the remains of the citadel, yknow, the big thing base that got glazed over immediately, completing it would be challenging, but gives every survivor reward unlocked for every district of that part of villedor
pk manhunters would be sent to capture you, and you can find special events like them interrogating and beating civilians,
pk are underrated since most of their faction didn't want to be unjust, they wanted to protect people righteously, yet black Matt was like, nuh uh lazy writing go brr. and then they got turned on since apparently pk are bad and renegade are good

instead, make a compliancy sub faction, where if you side with survivors on every area and do all pk related side quests, you can expose jack Matt as a fraudulent figure abusing power to get what he wants, make the pk actually good people, and have both survivors and peacekeepers working together, with no trash talk, since getting called a pk trash is bully behavior, and I may have overreacted a bit
the easiest way to fix the story and choices isn't by redoing the game, it's actually branching off from the choices, which is considerably a lot easier to do, rather than shift backspacing every line of code and starting from scratch

I downloaded it yesterday the other day and I've noticed I'm not getting sucker punched anymore , every single boss fight which was so cringy I think they took all the sucker punches out I feel bad about being so harsh in the past , I'm just irritated about things like everybody else
Damn I wanna start ng+ to see em for myself but then I’d have to go and get every safe places back and other little things and substations. I’m a little tired of going through open worlds once I’ve completed them just get every crucial little thing over and over again. Also the story isn’t perfect and at times annoying with the gameplay holding it up. I’ll definitely think on it.
Need more quality bosses monster and fight not only all recycle foes over and over again. Need boss' fight using parkour mechanic too.
I love the new cutscenes, but can they please work on fixing continuity errors as well? I really hate how Barney is beat to hell with wounds that could easily get infected, but then the next time we see him, his bruises are gone, the deep gashes on his arms have somehow already healed into scars, and the only thing Veronika is working on is the small cut on his forehead that also conveniently goes away afterwards. Barney should only look healed when we go back to the Bazaar to find Veronika during the second half of the game imo. I must say I also like the new cutscene for when Aiden is eavesdropping on Barney and Veronika though, it's still not very stealthy, but far better than before.

the part where Hakon is going to push you off in the church changed
I don't see much youtube creators talkin about this, but the mission Missing Persons where you have to get Damien away from the ledge towards the end of the mission, Techland updated the scene and made it so Damien was hugging one of the pillars at the edge of the rooftop as he looked down to the ground below, which really added more immersion into the game than the old cutscene where he was just standing near the edge of the rooftop. Even when I had talked him off the rooftop, it was nerve-wrecking to watch Aiden drag Damien slowly off the edge with the new scene compared to the old one.
Is there a way to save him or am i just bad with words?

it's almost like the game had 2 less years of development went through hell had staff problems and was demanded by fans huh crazy but jokes aside i'm proud of techland for listening and sometimes bringing back some fan favorite mechanics and details

I just noticed that the gritty filters has been changed in new update. Before update the gritty filter looked like exactly e3 but after update it looks too gray and so much different 😥. I love the e3 color filter and they removed it. I don't like this change at all. I hope they bring it back.
Hey Ali, know im a bit late but i've been replaying through the story recently and i also noticed that they update The cutscene while talking w Aigor in the Fish eye and the final one with Rowe in the VNC tower, could be more but i only found these so far.
What I really wanted to see was some more to do with Aiden turning into a volatile. It’s essentially glorified cutscenes with lore that it’s tied to the inhibitors and the tests he went through. It would have made perfect sense to make it tied to some sort of activation in free roaming for collecting every inhibitor or something imo

I really hope that Techland fixes the bow and arrow because it has no effect on surfaces such as land and water, and also the arrows disappear most of the time. Also, there is something that bothers me very much in the game, when the player runs, he hides the weapon in his hand, unlike the first dying light it was not like this I wish. Just that they add an option for player to keep his weapon in his hand while running and not hide it. This is all I hope for from a game, but unfortunately I do not know how to convey my message to Techland.🙁

I wish they would start overhauling the story and sidequests.
Because the story is kinda bad and rushed in some parts, for example Aiden being infected plays absolutely no part in the game whatsoever they explained the floatiness of his jumps by simply saying he is super infected because of Waltz but apart from Waltz boss fights and him jumping away from the silo at the end of the game its never explored further. Aiden getting bitten and having to wear that infection indicator is also forgoten in the story, its used only in dark places and night as a timer.

@@Snake_eyes0 not really. Most of thing i mentioned isnt here. Lighting is kinda inferior to e3 and 2021 version. Sky is still static, flashlight is static and doesnt show shadow, sfx is still bad and unpleasant, physics are still anim relied, blood is still static.

They need to can these survivor missions as 3 of them over and over again for hardly any RP is taking the absolute piss. Give with one hand take away with the other. Gameplay loop and fun is what keeps players playing and coming back. Not this style of boring grind.

Yeah I saw 2. Both Barney & Waltz new cutscenes are better because it makes more sense. It’s insane how Techland change some more cutscenes in the updates. I love Techland. ❤🫶 Ok I didn’t know that they change the chase sequence
