fun project zig , im envious, miss working on old holdens, brothers buying another hz well body 253 three on the tree by the sounds of it thats the shape holdens i mostly spent thousands of hours working on in the 80's n 90's had heaps of HQ's , hj, hx , hz and many big V8 vals uncle imported big blocks by the container, remember when you could buy a good 400 small block with a good turbo 400 for under a grand , we got 383's and 440"s put just a mildish cam in em man they went good, good torque, nough rambling i guess. like one guy said nice music .

Hi Zig, got a question. My HX has a diff whine 3.36 small Sailsbury in my Ute. What would i expect to pay for the pinion bearing replacment and can i do this myself.?

I'm not sure what the pros would charge Andrew...$500 maybe...It's do-able with the correct tools...Cheers mate.
