Nice work there Zig. Coming along nicely. The subie died early friday morning. Had a head on with a motorcycle on the wrong side of the road. (Him) and drunk too. Only 130 000 ks. Was an awesome car. cheers mate.
Nice work, just started my own HR wagon resto. Been good to see your videos and see what's ahead of me. Started throwing up a couple of my own progress vids too.
Looks great, I would give it quick sand with 1200 and polished it with cutter's. Just can't help myself even though it's meant to be like a satin because of glare on the windscreen. They painted the bottom of the windscreen on the wifes impala to hide the rusted out everything. Fully restored my ass . This car is going to be a really good car . Very top quality work mate. I love these cars and videos. Would love to have a 308 in this, always said they should have been factory v8s but they fly with a 186 . Very impressive work mate.
Cheers Pete....I wanted to 2 door one of my HR's and chop the lid off back in the day and slip in a 350...I had a bunch of literature from Bob Hatfield (Castlemaine Rod Shop)....Life got in the way...You know.
@ziggassedup yeah I know exactly what you mean mate. Mate had a Hadfeild rack in his. Great little car but the aussie 4 speed used to jam sometimes. He had the drop tank to. Another car I should have bought and finished it off. It went great with the 186 , would waste a few v8s . You would never get rid off it now.

Looks good not a bad job im really enjoying watching you restore the old girl
Cheers mate.
Good job mate……!!
I would suggest LED globes for the dash…….
No heat and less draw on the wiring…… might help…?
The dash lights are dim in these old things so not a bad idea mate...Cheers.
