I watched it for a year hoping for good days to make them but our humidity is under 40% for only about 3 days a year here. Great tips thanks a lot. I think I'll eventually invest in a bigger dehumidifyer.
Thanks for your video! I did the test where I added all of my ingredients except the citric acid and I got the mixture to a good 'damp sand' consistency, but when I put in the citric acid, for some reason, it became soo much wetter and started activating. Obviously I put too much water in, but the consistency of the pre-citric acid mixture was what I was used to when I made bath bombs with the citric acid and baking soda added at the same time. So just some food for thought to anyone who tries to do this.
Most helpful video ever!!!! more helpful than troubleshooting videos I watched, love how u showed the consistency and examples! thanks so much for this! x :)
A good DIY dehumidifier with an extra benefit is something called an air conditioning. Your air conditioning must bring the humidification down to 50 to 55% before It can begin to cool your house down. Consider this before you invest in a dehumidifier.
Thanks for the video it was very helpful, but what happens if you have already added all the ingredients! and yet it still breaks apart after adding all ingredients! do i discard and start from the beginning??
Very informative. I have a question, I’ve heard to try to avoid salt/ epsom salt because the moisture part.. what can you substitute with that wouldn’t mess up a hood bath bomb consistency?
When making bath bombs I love how my bath bombs are activated for a really long time. but they don't float, and aren't like extremely explosive. how can I Fix that? I also do live in rain city Vancouver BC. I will look up the humidity levels now, only make them on sunny days and get a cheap humidifier. I have single pane windows which must have a play in this. does the recipe consist of too much oil? and does the fine grain on the citric acid matter? I will post the recipe I use and maybe you can help or fine tune it 2/14 cups baking soda 1 1/4 cups Baking Soda 1/4 cup corn starch 3/4 cup coconut oil 1 teaspoon fragrance or essential oil small amount of mica powder for colorant I literally never saw this until now: 1/2 teaspoon SLES powder. i just saw this and need to purchase it for bigger bubbles they say. can you recommend one that has big bubbles, but also is good for all skin types.
That is something you can do but need to be careful with. If baking soda is heated passed 200 degrees F then it turns into soda wash. Heat oven to lowest temp and then turn it off before placing bath bombs inside.
I know this is how everyone starts out but honestly you are going to save yourself alot of stress by getting a scale. Weighing ingredients is going to be more precise with fewer ingredients wasted. Best of luck.
I never realized how much it could affect the consistency of my bath bombs. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video. My first batch was crumbly. This is my second try and will add citric acid last. Fingers and toes crossed.

Wow! Thank you! Bath bombs have always given me headaches
They can be very high maintenance!
@@MandyBarley so true!

How can I prevent cracking? Perfect bath bomb on Thursday and cracks Friday morning. 😐 -Momo
Thank you this has been very helpful.
Great information! Thanks!
Useful. Thx
Thank you for making this video! My drop test breaks in half, I don't what it needs more, water or oil? Thank you!
I would try more binder first
thank you very helpful ! I've heard putting bath bombs in a warm setting oven would that work to control the humidity and help the bath bombs harden?

She says each word she speaks per-fect-ly!
It completely dried out before I could mold it. 😢what do I do now
Hi what would be the measurement of the Citric Acid? I'm doing currently doing 1/2 cup. Is Cornstarch needed?
Mandy where are you, we need your help. Don't give up pleaseee
what is the measurement to get the consistency of wet sand (in cups, teaspoon, tablespoon?)

Super helpful
Thank you!
I tried so many times but I am not successful
How do we make bath bombs during summer as humidity ll be high during that season?
Dehumidifier is going to be your new best friend.
I saw videos that states to put dehumidifier at 70% for high temperature days and high humid days.
@@MandyBarley Thanks
@@msztax you mean Sry the dehumidifier at 70%
@@CringeGirl2023 ; not certain. Doesn't know what that means. Sry?
