Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."
At 68 I'll be happy to be able to walk/run a little bit. Teller being able to slide around like that, at that age, is an act in itself!
except he used to put his legs through
Hes 68???!!
Canzandridas Joe omg yea! Cuz this video is 3 years old!! Omg I love Pennand Teller
But he's a magician
He's currently 72
they are too good for this dead audience
The quiet audiences are most often the most attentive ones. The crowd might seem dead, but they're quietly watching.
@@pentel4178 Not laughing at any of the visual or verbal gags though, so I'm not so sure they are.
@@sandwichbreath0 how many times did you actually burst out laughing while watching this.
@@Quasar0406 How many times did you scream while listening to your favorite music on youtube?
I mean you can hear the audience laughing at a lot of the gags, but the music is really loud
Penn's most used sentence: "We got these built special"
no that's "the 3 of clubs"
@@thatonepseudotwin7775 yes
Magicians : Never use the same trick twice
Penn and teller : “BLAST OFF!”
but now it's like 1,ooo,ooo times
@@CanaldeDios123 Unfortunately there are over 7,000,000,000 people. Perhaps if they perform this over 7,000 more times we'll have a chance.
How many magicians work for 5 decades lol thats a bad question, I'm sure many do but dam- they still doin it
The balls and cups trick with clear cups-
"TRAP DOOR!"
Jesus motherflippin' Christ! If you think the "reveal" is the punchline, you missed the joke. They do the little dance, they mock other magicians, and they even parodied their own song! These men are quite old, and Teller still has the ability to slither around like that. Of course it was trap doors!
Why did he mock that magician? What caused that?.
in their words, they run a show that does not pretend to be magic, they know it's a trick, you know it's a trick, they just want you to be amazing, not fooled into thinking that what they're doing is impossible, you just don't know how they did it.
kyle eaton they do that every time. I've seen them say criss angel and David copperfield before.
kyle eaton because many magicians like to tell gullible people that Magic is real. Penn and Teller hate that, and show people how tricks are done.
@@michael_johnston And, I recall Penn saying that David Blaine shitting in a transparent box isn't magic
Penn dancing on the platform is the best part of the entire routine.
I dunno. Teller dancing under the platform...
Teller used to be able to lift his legs up through the box instead of using fake legs. I guess time and tide does wait for no man...
I know, when I first saw teller do it with the fake legs I thought it wasn't nearly as cool as it used to be but when you are still doing amazing tricks at 68, you can't blame him for using them!
68...holy shit I never realized he was that old.
12 years older than Penn.
12? Teller is just 7 years older than Penn
Yep these guys are getting a little too old for these tricks
teller used to do the legs thing with his real legs...
he is aging....
#respect
68
Or he didn’t want to break his neck
nah they should take you instead, he is more precious.
gilbert martinez
That made me laugh way too much.
And back when Penn was fat it was harder to see his arm behind him as he reach through the box to poke his hand out.
When he picks up the center box to go to the left of the stage and penn puts his own hand in the box it gets me everytime
I remember watching this the first time and I felt so smug that I understood it. Until the hand comes out of the box with Penn holding it mid-air.
That’s the only thing I figured out. You could clearly see him moving his hand in and out .
@@circusfreak7065the trick used to smoother in an old video i watched. The illusion effect was really good.
Such a classic. They have been doing this since before 1990.
Really?
@@TyrekeCorrea It's true. I saw them perform this in NYC on Broadway in The Refrigerator Tour in 1991.
Penn and Teller are awesome
Yes, this was very interesting. :-)
No matter how many times I watch it it's fun! I know how it's done obviously, it's been shown a million times, but it's so entertaining every time XD
Exactly, you don't get people shouting at Tom Jones HEARD IT! when he start singing Delilah.
Trogdor Tibbles you didnt know shit so fuck off
I love the alternate lyrics with the song. They've often said that the tricks they reveal are more interesting to be seen than the trick itself, and this definitely qualifies. It's really entertaining to see the "magic" happen.
It was pretty obvious that there was someone under the stage, but I honestly thought it's multiple people etc.
seeing that it's actually just Teller being a legend is a trick in itself
I mean, if you know a little bit about of these tricks, it's easy to understand the first time... What makes it really impressive, is the speed.
I really enjoy when P&T do this kind of stuff but my favorite thing by far is watching Teller do close up magic or sleight of hand. He's truly a master at it.
He's deadly with a deck!
The rose shadow routine is unbelievable
my by far favorite P&T is the cigarette routine! the absolutely mundane result while everything is completely faked gets me every time!
@@r1konTheAutomator Absolutely. Their best.
I love that they show how it's done. It's more entertaining than a traditional 'magic' act.
no
@@MMM-th8nb yes
When I was a little girl I saw some performance of them, and a friend once told me "Magic doesn't exist! They are acting, my dad knows how they do it!!" and I was like "Yes... the whole point of them is know how they do it. They are still the best magicians without pretending they are doing real magic"
Yep and they like to expose bullshitters who pretend they are doing actual magic (and other liars who fool and manipulate people with trickery - like politicians), because they understand how easy it actually IS to fool people with mental tricks and quirks of how the human brain and vision work. Charlatan's have been using it forever! Like people who would walk around thousands of years ago turning water into wine and walking on water.
It was even easier to do these things to people centuries ago.
Saw this live in Vegas with the family, loved it then, still love it now many years later!
Whats truly amazing about penn and tellers acts, is while they reveal a menial, beginner trick, if you watch closely they are pulling off an even bigger trick that only the ones paying attention notice, and thats the beauty of a penn and teller act.
One example of this is the SNL upside down parody trick they did, everything except the coffee cup and some pamphlets fell off of the table and penn is seen picking the cup up and drinking from it and positioning it on different spots of the table. Lol.
No matter how many times I watch this trick I cant get over how quick teller is
Teller's still very agile for his age tbh
The crowd was so dead, if you're not entertained then atleast have some respect
In their defense they were asked to figure the trick out tho they could’ve been a bit more alive
I've had this song stuck in my head all day.
I love penn and teller. Their magic tricks and explanations have allowed me to try and find different ways people use their sleight of hand and caused misdirection to fool their audiences without taking away any of the fun of the magic itself.
This is my first time seeing this trick but this song is already nostalgic AF.
Mind blown! Even when it was in the clear, it was still fun to watch! That was wonderful entertainment.
who ever matt franco is he got owned
Lol
Your an idiot
My an idiot what?
Mat Franco is the first magician to have won on America's Got Talent.
OMG!!! I love Penn & Teller. Great to see this old classic of theirs!
"See it's MY hand!"
I'm so amazed Teller doing that at his late 60-ish. I'm at just my late 20's and I couldn't even bend my back without cracking 206 bones in my body.
I love this bit. It will always be my favorite
These guys are awesome.
Total respect for Teller !
What a man !
Such a classic P&T bit
'Hey Matt Franco! Suck on this!' LMAO
why he is saying that ?
Because hes someone the audience knows, its nothing personal its just because they do what other magicians dont know and thats reveal some of there secrets, they normally use Chris Angel as the line
When Penn and Teller started to do their whole "How its done" act. Which in some rare cases they flipping trick you with Method Q, they stated: "Magicians get angry and upset that we show you this." When in reality it was "middle of the road" bad Magicians that complained.
The point was to perform an act, make you understand it, make you fallow it, then blow your mind out of your BUTT, because they will then do it with Method Q. And it just part of the show.
Oh, Mat Franco is an American magician and the winner of the ninth season of America's Got Talent.
This will never ever get old.🌟
first saw this trick back in the 80s at one of their shows lol.
They've done this act so many times it's no longer mind boggling.
How has this act ever been mind boggling?
Entertaining*
xterme douche jerkuesse~
you must sleep well being the vortex of human, " not getting it." in the ...
they dont wanna reveal their better ones
My all-time favourite track
I LOVE Pens way of getting back at the inner circle.
Penn & Teller are national and historical treasures.
This was so cool. I have loved them for so long.
Ive replayed the video 6 times and still dont know how they do it.
I'm still stuck on the clear cups and potato trick.
They used magic.
Try watching it at .25x speed. That really helped me figure it out.
There's two Tellers, dummy... and magnets
@@thefancystache3793 oh man, i thought it was 3 tellers...
Gotta love Penn and Teller. Despite watching how it's done it's still just as entertaining
I saw a bunch of comments on how teller used to be able to lift his own legs so I took a look at some old clips and you guys are right ! It’s kind of sad but I guess age does take a toll on your body...😭
It’s a pretty cool trick. It’s pretty obvious since Penn is looking at where he’s snapping the box into place but still interesting.
Such and awesome looking trick..... The stage they stand on is actually 90% of the actual trick. Being raised about a foot off the ground it allowed Teller( being small) and quick to be able to run around to each position/spot on cue and in time. I think the "hardest" part for Penn was carrying that one box with Teller inside it and making it not look heavy. Penn made it look so easy and light weight which is very important to keep the whole trick running smoothly and keeping the audience guessing what's actually happening lol
i love these 2
Teller moves underneath the stage to make this illusion work
Wow I was right. I thought I was going to be wrong
I've seen this trick 100 times. I just keep watching it because I love the song Lift Off For Love.
too bad its not on spotify
I love these two men so much.
I’ve watched this so many times and I still don’t know how they do it
Penn always says built special every time.
I'm impressed that I figured out how they did it before they showed us
Love Penn and Teller!!!! Have seen them in Vegas❤️❤️
i wish there was a show that reveals like this
I don't know how fucking old this trick is, I will never stop watching it over and over again.
it never gets old!
Okay. How do they make the equipment look transparent when it's not? Is it all built out of TV-screens or are they projecting something ONTO it or THROUGH it. It looks like Teller is really inside it all. And you know he's not. He's in the Green Room enjoying a soda. Amazing.
What a workout for Teller 🤣🤣🤣
“Blastoff” still hits 30 years later
finally i know how it's works. thank you penn & teller.
Mark Twain once said "Truth is stranger than Fiction." I wonder what his reaction to this would be.
3:51 he still loves it :)
Penn & Teller are awesome. If some hasn't watched them saw a lady in have ( I believe her name her Georgi) it's brilliant. Plus thier show, Bullshit, is a skeptic's wet dream.
Penn was telling them truth. He juggles while Teller does the magic.
1:19 how did I never notice his elbow moving there?! I used to be so confused as to how Tellers hand was in there before I realized it's Penn's XD
misdirection, he only has his hand in there for a second and in that second he has moved your attention because of the pointing and the "what are you pointing at"
Penn was way bigger back then. Probably vould hide the move better.
Crazy Teller in his 60s and can still do these moves so easily.
Edit: At time of recording dude is like 500 now.
Teller is so agile
you can totally see through the stage....... MAGIC!!
proud to say that after watching fool us non stop for a week i was able to figure this out upon first watching it.
Look how cute the small one is😭😭😭
snow_ tae_ it’s not that he’s small it’s that penn is huge
Best part of this trick is Penn's dance moves
they changed the game the day they realized that its the performance, not the illusion itself, that matters
2:00. Watch James. When Penn asks him: “You got it figured out, James?” He nods his head to show that he knew how it was done on the spot
The same magician should never show how they do a trick. These guys not only break that rule but them showing you how the trick is done makes you appreciate the hard work it takes to pull this off
If you've never seen their routine "Looks simple doesn't it" its one of my favorites
damn i saw when teller was 62 he performed this and was able to lift himself up upside down to have his real legs be showing at 3:13 but here at 68 now hes using fake ones. im still glad to see he can do all that sliding tho :)
The real magic trick is that teller is as old as my granny but he can still do that
Back in the day, Teller really puts him self upside down to show his legs.
The way the crowd became totally silent with confusion, on the second part, was really funny to me. Then I realized this was a James Corden video, and it suddenly made sense. Only an idiot would go to a James Corden show. Love this trick though.
Seen this trick 2 times. This is my third.
Most tricks these guys do these days are repeats of their old ones.
The last time i saw this trick, they said "Hey Criss Angels! This is for you!"
Omg yay my favourite comedian and my fav magicians
I'm really proud of myself in saying I was not fooled!
Thank you, boys.
This act is cool. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s great. 😀
Super amazing!
Really tough crowd...
1:25 AM (yep!)
3/25/2020
Hey didn't know I already watched this
9:17 PM
8/29/2022
Teller mugs for the audience, does this routine twice AND moves props within the space of 4 minutes. If I can be a fraction as agile I turn 68, I'll count myself the luckiest person on earth.
never realized how much work teller does.
If you watch the video how they pull the trick was one was down at the lower stage as in they got off the stage and those box he was able to put a leg and hand out because the stage is higher so all one need to do is stay behind the box when the small dude was lower which mean those items were higher then him
Wow amazing
Hmm, interesting... I have seen an older video of this trick before, and when Teller did the part that can be seen at section 3:14 of this video, he didn't use any fake legs - instead, he just pushed himself in an upside-down position inside the vertical box and stretched his own legs.
I guess it was some kind of trap door and Teller being underneath. Somehow I didn't consider that Penn would use his own hand through the box!
That had me too. I thought... fake hand activated in the box. Duh! His real hand is so much easier.
0:27
Teller must’ve hated doing this...
Teller is 69 and he can move better than most people
So so so so so cool
for his age, Teller gor amazing stamina
Who is this matt franco fella?
