Great video Todd. Could you clarify the following: I was taught to release by turning the arms at the end of the swing, so that the logo on the glove faces downwards. Is this a flip? A second question is about your vertical system. Changing to vertical is a process and, like any change, when trying to emulate you, I miss hiit, lose my tempo, etc. Do you offer drills that would gradually get me vertical?
Good questions. There is always some arm rotation in the swing. The all time greats had this in their golf swing. It is too much when it happens too early IMO. Yes, in the Vertical Line Swing we have a section on tempo and timing, two keys to great ball striking. 👊
Todd, I love your videos. I am a super senior golfer with a handicap index of 18 , and I have tried your vertical swing technique. I have a tendency to pull shots with all clubs, and the vertical swing increases the steepness of my swing and exacerbates the pulled shot problem. Do you have any suggestions for eliminating the pulled shot.
William, good question. Make sure you are completing your full hip turn in the backswing. Many golfers who get steep, fail to get a full hip turn which leads to poor sequencing in the downswing....IE, over the top, and pull. Hope that helps.
Todd, I am left handed, I have a natural left to right draw that has become a hook? According to Foresight, I am landing 20 to 30 yards to the right? Help!
Keith, good question....flipping can be adding loft or rotation the clubface...depends on how we want to describe it. The key lesson is that less rotation in general is a good thing....make sense?
Great video. Can you talk about muscle memory and your golf swing? My problem is that I’m doing just what you’re saying is wrong with my swing, but my muscle memory is telling me that my swing is right. Not sure if I’m explaining it correctly or not. How do I retrain my brain to swing correctly?
Brian, we find lots of time the best way to make a change is for the club to be in motion. Try this tempo drill which will help ua-cam.com/video/EBB0SoqzGbU/v-deo.html
Wow Todd, Brilliant you fixed me just in that last 5mins...finally got it. GREAT, cheers mate
Glad it helped, thanks for watching Phillip!
Todd, once again another great lesson. Thank You.
More to come...stay tuned and tell a friend!
Lv it. It really works folks

Great information Todd. At least I now know why my club has rotated on me. Hopefully that means it’s fixable. 😀
You got it 👊
Great video. More full swing videos would be great.
You got it... thanks!

Great stuff as always Todd I’m vertical swinging and not flipping 👍👍
Let's go! We are getting ready to launch our online/interactive Vertical Line Swing program this fall. Are you on our email list?
Awesome lesson T
Thanks Tony. Would you like to see more short game or full swing golf videos?
@@USGOLFTVshow Todd I could especially use your help with mid- irons I’m struggling with distance.
what irons are you using?
6 iron....
I am usually breaking my wrists too early and it costs me distance big time. Do you have a video to help keep the wrist angle solid at impact ??
Gordan, good question. This is very common for many golfers....this will help ua-cam.com/video/Z8LyPGy8Ycc/v-deo.html
Been watching your hold off and release video. Might be a stupid question but what's the difference between "a flip" and "a release"!!!
Good question, in general a flip is when the golfer adds loft to the club and a release is usually discussed in rotation...make sense?
@@USGOLFTVshow hi. Thanks for your reply. Makes sense....

Does flipping lead to shanking?
It is possible, yes. This will help ua-cam.com/video/99rYblWsqrY/v-deo.html
Todd, I thought “flipping” was a breakdown of the wrist angles through impact?

I always heard "flipping was when the clubhead is thrown at the ball ahead of the wrist" , left wrist breakdown?
It can be described that way as well....good point.

Todd Kolb the best golf instructor on UA-cam - no wasted flim-flam
Thanks James! Total team effort on our side....👍 More great content to come...
I will be trying to square the club face in address and take away today!
Get ready for some nice long straight shots...
Its not a flip after impact.
