I’ve battled the Hoenn Elite Four hundred times when I was a kid, but I was never tired of it
Same here! I must of battled them over 100 times in my original Sapphire version as a kid. I have 465 hours clocked. Which is the most I've ever put into a Pokémon game.
Dark, Ghost, Ice and Dragon.

How I defeated the elite four:
Sydney-*spams brick break*
Phoebe-*spams shadow ball*
Glacia-*spams flamethrower*
Drake-*spams ice beam but uses freeze dry for kingdra*

For me:
Sydney: X-scissor/disarming voice tag team
Phoebe: Dark Pulse with moonblast finisher
Glacia: Dark Pulse/Rock Slide tag team with Leaf blade finisher
Drake: *Gardevoir*
I love how Phoebe's area has an easter egg. (The child that pops in sitting in the chair just before the screen fades)

And I feel like the scene just afterwards takes place from their point of view right up to the transition.

I like how at the start of each battle in ORAS in the elite 4 you get to see cool effects.
My favorite is phoebe's and sidney's :D
Sidney with a Yakuza dark society vibe, Phoebe with haunted mansion and lotuses that symbolizes rebirth, Glacia with pure cold blizzard and her smile freeze into your bone, Drake with the sea of dragon and imo the dragon head can be seen as lighthouses becuz it's related to Drake was a captain of a ship

As someone who loves Dragon types, Drake is my favorite Elite Four, even though the others are great and difficult to fight unless the pokemons are really trained.

I FREAKING HAD NIGHTMARES BECAUSE OF THE PHOEBES TRIAL. THAT WHOLE GHOST THING YOU COULD SEE IN THE CHAIR AND APPEARING NEXT TO YOU. FREAKED ME ALL THE WAY OUT.
My favorite Elite Four member from Hoenn is Drake, as one can tell from my profile picture. But Glacia would have to come in a close second place.

I loved how in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald this Elite Four gave such a challenge.

When I battled Phoebe, who is an expert on Ghost Type Pokémon and her Pokémon Sableye is a ghost/dark type Pokémon and I used Mawile.
My favorites would be grimsely and shauntal

How i beat all elite four members (I played Alpha sapphire)
Sidney: I used my Blaziken the whole fight.
Pheobe: *intense origin pulse spamming with kyogre*
Glacia: I have a Blaziken.
Drake: Kyogre knows Ice Beam.
Steven: One-shots until his Mega Metagross. Kyogre outspeeded and used Origin Pulse which got it in the red, but Kyogre ran out of HP. So, I switch into my Swellow and it lands a safe Fly, but gets one-shotted immediately after. At that exact moment, I felt I was about to lose. But my underleveled Manectric (Lv. 39) pulled off a Discharge and destroyed Steven's Metagross. That Manectric was so clutch.
I remember first playing the original sapphire and remember sweeping through the elite 4 with my lv. 100 Blaziken

If I remember correctly, my Hoenn league team was Blaziken, Mightyena, Skitty, Latias, Kyogre, and I think a Milotic. And don’t whine to me about the legendaries, I always bring at least one for backup.
Sceptile was also my starter
My ideas for improving the Hoenn Elite Four from the beginning:
Sidney's team can remain unchanged
Phoebe should have gotten Gengar and Shedinja
Glacia should have gotten Dewgong and Cloyster
Drake should have gotten Gyarados
how about sceptile instead of gyrados

Favorite Elite 4, huh? It's a tie between Malva and Kahili. For Malva, it's because she was Team Flare, Holo Caster reporter, and Elite 4 member, and she respects you even though you brought down the organization she worked for (and I like her design), and for Kahili, it's because of the fact that she's the only Elite 4 in Alola that we didn't meet on our journey, and she was the hardest of the 4 because I didn't have any Electric, Ice, or Rock coverage, _fun times_ :/. In Hoenn, I guess my favorite is Drake, because i'm a little biased towards Dragon-types. What's your favorite, Mixeli?

@@graciegonzales2077 nice may not be the strongest but it can hit hard with the right training
mr pizza True. I struggled training it in my White 2 game, and when I got a moon stone, I thought the evolution would help, but it didn't work. However, I found a Skitty in my Omega Ruby game that knew Last Resort. With the Exp. Share in tow, I was able to use it in my gym battles. It might not be useful when I face the Elite Four though, but I haven't gone that far yet. I will in a couple of days and might use Skitty when facing Sydney since he specializes in dark and my Skitty has a fairy move.
