Where did you go to grind EXP? And how long did it take when you started doing so? Because I kinda want to take on the League rematch before Pokémon Bank shuts down.
The best place to grind experience in the post-game is on One Island's Kindle Road (Sevii Islands), specifically the black belt/battle girl trainers right outside of the hot springs. The hot springs are a free full heal spot and Vs Seeker usage on these fighting type trainers can lead to some of the highest EXP gain from my experience. I don't remember how long it took me, but I can imagine at least a couple of hours since this is training for the league rematch.
Some roms change the evolution requirement from trade to level-up. Some emulators can also allow you to link games locally on the same device, which can be another way to obtain trade evolutions.
You're probably the most polite one to request that, and luckily for you, I actually *did* do that a while ago! ua-cam.com/video/-9lQE2PRLso/v-deo.htmlsi=C6I23Fl_ea2Pi4uG
This time those RNG eggs were scrambled for good. Gengar also came in clutch with the finishing Thunderbolt. ⚡️ Congratulations on completing Fire Red~ 🎉🎉🎉
I actually had Vaporeon be my dedicated counter to Green's Alakazam since none of my other pokemon were well equipped to dealing with it. Good special bulk plus access to Shadow Ball saved me there.
So this is the Elite 4 rematch, meaning all elite four members have updated teams. To access these rematches, you need to complete the Sevii Islands post-game and gain access to trading with Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. Once you've cleared that, the game considers you to be at the end of post-game and will update the elite 4's teams to what you see in this video, including Bruno's Onix both evolving into Steelix.
Thanks for the video! Feeling nostalgic. Just one thing : before Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/SS/HG there wasn’t the physical special split and thus attacks were physical or special according to their type. Concretely Shadow Ball was a physical attack back then, while Gengar’s attack is weak
While that is sadly true, that's part of why my Vaporeon also knows the move despite not having STAB. Also thankfully Alakazam's defense is *awful* compared to special defense, so that evens it out a bit.
@@darkentity7981 Well you can use it to your advantage as Fire Punch, Ice Punch and Thunder Punch were all special. You can use it on Gengar and Alakazam for instance. Or use shadow ball with Slaking or Snorlax Vaporeon's attack is not really high to use Shadow Ball which was a physical attack but I understand that it works on Pokemon with weak defense such as Gengar or Alakazam. I still have Fire Red, Leaf Green and Emerald with my GBA and I used to be a beast at the time. I had full EV/IV Pokemon, the only problem I had was with hidden power type
This was just in my recommended so I haven’t seen your journey up to now. How did you get an Alakazam and Gengar? Did you have a second person to trade with, or did you use some cheat to encounter them?
I actually answered a similar question in this same comment section. The best level grinding spots from my experience are either Cycling Road or Kindle Road (on One Island) using the Vs Recorder, depending on the type of the pokemon you're wanting to level grind. You need a lot of patience for it, even if you manage to get a Lucky Egg from one of the Safari Zone Chansey.
@@kapemuna420 Oh yeah, I forgot that I mentioned that in another comment thread here. Sevault Canyon is another really good spot if the previously mentioned two aren't doing it well enough.
After you beat the Cinnabar Gym, you unlock the Sevii Islands. On One Island, there's a hot spring that's difficult to miss. If you use the Vs Seeker you get from the Vermilion PokeCenter, you can rematch the black belts outside of the hot springs over and over (said hot springs are actually a free healing spot). Out of all the methods I could find, this was the most efficient and it still took a long time to train up.
@@darkentity7981 Thanks 😄 I remember.... but black belt trainers have mostly fight Pokémon, it there any methode to train Normal, ice and rock Pokémon??
@@JediStar85 The best other spot I can think of, which might be better than the One Island black belts are the trainers towards the south end of Sevault Canyon on Seven Island. They use varied pokemon, the two cool trainers near the very south end give some of the highest EXP yield in the game (as far as I can tell), and they're all located very close to the Chansey Dance House, which is a free healing spot. (Note: Seven Island and Sevault Canyon are post-game exclusive. For before the first E4 battle, the One Island blackbelts or the bikers at the north end of Cycling Road would be recommended) Let me know how that works out for you :)
So in all four of my pokemon playthroughs on this channel, I'm playing with a self-imposed rule where I have to use a different pokemon against each of my opponent's pokemon (so it becomes a true 5v5 or 6v6 and not a potentially one-sided sweep in my favor). I do this to make these battles more interesting and occasionally challenging.
Good question; when Onix evolves, it goes from a Rock/Ground type pokemon to a Steel/Ground type. The part ground typing makes it weak to water-type attacks.
Gen 3 moves are so confusing, the punches are special attacks, same for Dragon Claw, Crunch, and even Waterfall. While some are physical, like Shadow Ball, Hyper Beam, and also Sludge Bomb
Sometimes a solo run (or a run with 2-3 pokemon) can actually be just as fun, if not moreso, than using a full team depending on how you like to play. The Charmander line picks up pretty good after Misty, so good for you for going through with it!
I just played elite four got Hit self in confusion ×3 Crit×2 all in row ok bet. I sat thier for over an hour pp stalling the elite four...... how's that feel firered unreal hax now there's no moves to hax
17:54 now i know the best counter on tyranitar u just gave him a sleep powder and u can attack it with no worries because when i see tyranitar and battle with him with my Pokémon i will always use mewtwo to defeat him just spamming swift attack 😅😅
Sleep Powder can be risky though since it's only 75% accurate. Additionally Tyranitar is 4x weak to Fighting, so bringing a pokemon with a strong Fighting type move can be a good counter for it.
So my above comment aged well. This video hit a view milestone and I ended up doing it successfully. I'd like to personally thank you for giving me the idea; you may have already seen it, but here's the video you requested ua-cam.com/video/-9lQE2PRLso/v-deo.html

Playing on easy mode … what are you 5 years old lol. Your supposed to play the elite four on SET BATTLES (no switching).
