- Boxabl has released information on the location and size of their next factory. A few weeks ago at the international builders show in Las Vegas Boxabl debuted a new 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom prefab home along with plans to increase production. One of the hottest topics surrounding boxabl has been their 160,000 person waitlist and it appears they're making plans to work through the list faster. I caught up with Boxabl CEO and Co Founder Paolo who hinted at the size and location of Boxabl factory 3 along with delivery timelines. In this video I share what I learned about Boxabl in my recent visit to Las Vegas, watch and learn more about this very exciting company.

I respect that owner of boxabl said that. A lot of manufacturers tend to forget that people are saving up and spending their hard-earned money.
And they deserve a product that works well, and fits their desires
100%
quartz countertops and a stackable washer dryer vs single unit were the only two issues i noticed when i toured last week. so yes- they saw that too. awesome.
Are they going to a stackable washer/dryer?
@@radiofreealbemuth8540 they didn't say so but i'm sure you could get them to swap. the single units are awful. 6 hours to dry and everything looks like a tied up clump
This 2 story model is what I have been waiting for. Thank you Kerry! Now the world is a better 2 story place.
It was a hit at the show
What is the price calculation for the 2 story like $120k?
@@kykyjoy9390 don't remember what the boss said exactly but something about do you need 2 bathrooms, kitchens, laundry?
@@kykyjoy9390
Each casita is $60k with full kitchen.
The 2 story model are 3 casitas connected together.
1 with kitchen, 2 without.
I think $120k would be too low but $180k would
be too high without the kitchen in two of them.
@@AndiGrant I want the 2 boxables and it has to have a kitchen of course!
No question as to why these are in such high demand. Love the one with the upstairs balcony. This company has thought of everything!. Thanks Kerry!
For $60k, it might be cheaper and definitely faster to higher someone to build you house onsite, at leas for most people in the US. $60k + the lot price + the plumbing and foundation, we are talking about over $120K.
This is great news for those on the waiting list and the company. It is nice to know they are not complacent with the product and seek ways to improve the product before giving it to the public. Thank you!
This is what homes should be. Easily expandable. Amazing
Glad you like it
Thank you for the update Kerry. I am always excited to see what's new with BOXABL and I love all of your videos! It is hard to find affordable prefab homes that are shipped to Georgia, USA, but I continue to stay optimistic. You have the best videos on the topic. Keep them coming!
Thank you so much! Appreciate that
Look at you, keeping the industrial secret for so long! We knew last fall that Boxabl 2 was going to be a warehouse. They desperately need to get 3 and 4 up and running as production facilities. They are making excellent progress. We're way down that waitlist. By the time they get to us in a few years, I bet it will be a vastly improved product.
Right? It wasn’t easy! Thanks for watching John
I'm excited to see where these go over the next few years, for sure! For instance, I wonder if someone will come up with some creative way to conceal the ceiling seams.
Next thing I'm looking forward to is the 20 x 30 model. That's 600 sq ft, perfect for my needs.
Thats a nice size
Has one home been built, sold and delivered yet? Love the product, starting to be very apprehensive.
You'll notice: no actual reviews. What you DO hear is what the military people said, water intrusion (partly b/c they put them DIRECTLY on the ground!?) And mildew/mold problems.
So, so far, BAD IDEA.
So...what I gathered is that during a time when affordable housing is at a record time LOW...the general public still can't get access to housing due to government BULLSH*T but the military industrial complex and companies looking for housing for their employees, most likely employees with salaries who can already afford housing are becoming the priority. As production and demand ramps up watch these homes go for 50k..60k...70k...100k and so on. Capitalism always rears its ugly and greedy head. WATCH!
Boxzilla! They should put that on a tshirt and sell it! They are more than just a factory. They’re a brand IMO.
I can’t get enough Boxabl updates. You put a huge grin on my face😁 tonight. If I could get the three bedroom, 2 bath Boxabl right now, I’d probably go all in 💸. I’d happily live off cheap pizza🍕 for a year to get one. 😂
Thanks for the update Kerry. You rock! 🤘🏽
Haha I actually had the exactly same thought about a Boxzilla tshirt! Thanks for tuning in Billy 🙌🏼
Same. Do you the price range to for the 3b 2b?
@@Casper847 They haven’t officially announced the price yet but it’s likely going to be just under $100k furniture included.
Thank you Kerry , yep I'm excited about the possibility of creating a compound for my family and I with (4) casitas this way my family and I will have our privacy but we can live together.
Great idea 👏🏻👏🏻
I'm waiting for actual people to live in them and give real reviews.
Never jump on any bandwagon where you don't see proven results. The military bought several. Problems: mold/mildew. Water getting in through leaks or how they're stupidly set directly on the ground (you never see this in established houses, you always have to step up for this reason).
But again, no ACTUAL reviews. THAT has me very concerned. I certainly wouldn't buy into it with obvious build issues everywhere.
Always go hunt for the worst reviews and see if they have a point.
Whoa, that's a cool idea! I like it 🙂
So exciting! Great video as usual 😊
Thanks Beatrix! Glad you enjoyed the video 🙌🏼
I went to see the prototype of Boxabl on my last year visit to the site and 100% agree with Paolo. It needs to take time to improve the materials and the work. You don't want to get it the first, second or third version of Casita Boxable if you are a regular consumer. It will get there but not now.
Thank you for the feedback! Appreciate you tuning in
Really enjoy seeing these homes!
Glad to hear it. Thanks for tuning in
Thanks for the update Kerry👍
Thanks for watching!
Another rad video, I've seen a few now from you, so it's subscribin' time! And thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
The fact the mega factory is possibly coming to Texas is a fuckin blessing we needed, that shit’ll be huge here
This was an extremely informative video. Great work and thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Kerry! The log cabin exterior is nice!
Glad you like it!
Well, as time goes by, it still seems like Boxable is still the gold standard and while I’m not on the waitlist. I am watching and comparing everything I think I want with Boxable. Thanks for sharing the news with all the new possibilities and competition. I am comfortable in my home in Santa Fe and keep my eye out for land where I could put a smaller new home and where zoning would permit it. Waiting list, indeed! Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
I like all the different options for the exteriors
Same here!
Can I assume steel framed are going to be appropriate for hurricane weather?
I really like this model.
Thanks for sharing.
The prefab before the boxable.
awesome info. Boxabl is entertaining for sure.
Thanks! They keep people on their toes. Thanks for watching
Great work, Kerry!
Thanks Ellie 🙌🏼
Love these videos.
Thanks!
We need them to open a factory in Florida
Yaahoo! I love Boxabl. Good news.
Thanks for watching
Wow. The inside of the house looks really nice and cozy. I wish to have one.😀👍👍
Me too!
@@KerryTarnow Have a nice day.🙏🙌🙌🙏
😂😂 You cracked me up about the roof comment. I laughed at your giggle, and thought the same thing .... 😂😂
Haha can you imagine 😂
⭐️ So Professional thank You so much 💯
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
I am leaning towards the ones you showed from Canada. They looked awesome.
Fair enough! Thanks for watching
That lens is doing the Boxabl interiors justice, looks so spacious
Good to hear! It’s just my iphone
Pershing County Nevada wants Boxilla too!!! ❤ Makes sense to be close to the Thacker Pass Lithium mine when Boxabl goes NetZero!!! 😊
We’ll see! Will be interesting to see where it lands
Great interview Kerry!
Thanks!
Kerry, thanks for these informative videos. When you spoke with Paolo, did he happen to mention whether a first generation Casita could later be expanded into a 2- or 3-box design such as the prototype you toured? Thanks in advance, and keep the great content coming!
I dont think it could be expanded to the exact plan but could like add a room box to the casita
Oh WOW 😲,
Exactly!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you Kerry for LAUGHING at the silly rumor that they didn’t come with roofs and labeling it the FUD that it is! 😄
Awesome to hear that there will be another third Factory (not Boxzilla) built shortly to get those Gen 2 units with quartz countertops rolling out to the public Quarter 4!
Haha right? I couldn’t believe it 😂
Best video of the year 2023
Thanks!
awesome, please also do a boxable condominium in a subdivison
and sell the cost of the boxable plus the land or size of the unit
Perfect answer to our housing issue. Boxabl should open a factory near Phoenix. I'm sure California needs a Boxabl factory more than anyone right now. Think of the distribution costs. You need to make the factory more accessible to other states. I watched a UA-cam video of someone who sent a Boxabl to British Columbia, the fuel costs were excessive.
Thanks for watching Stephanie!
Florida would be a great location for Boxable, especially if they can build to Fl code. Imagine communities with all Boxable homes. If a Hurricane comes, told it up, the it down. You can do that with trailers or manufactured homes.
Definitely!
Mold/mildew and water/ air tight issues still exist for boxables. But in years, they or similar manufacturers may have solved same. They may now be fine for temporary disaster living quarters, but not ready as yet, for long term safe, reliable and cost effective living in wet/ rainy/ high humidity environments.
Nice video.
Thanks!
You should make a video about Hüga bulletproof tiny houses
I did a while ago but should check in on what they’re up to
Do you know if you can leave the roof flat without problems?
Hi Kerry. Anything from Boxabl on contractors they will be working with to rent the crane and assembly the house?
I built the stacked casitas in the video for the Copper mine in Arizona.
Love your channel thank you - you should take a look at Pluspluu homes out of finland?
I will have a look, thanks!
Saw you on Ellie in Space 👋🏽
Cool! It was great meeting Ellie, really nice person. Thanks for watching
"The future is now old man" some show I forgot the name off lol
Haha!
Truth!!! If eggs are up 200% then building costs will be up too 🙌🏻 Tell it like it is Kerry 👏🏻👏🏻
Exactly!
Kerry, can you feature Ablenook in a video if you haven't done so. I'd like to see what you think.
Are they actually being sold?
texas, canada and new york and california
BOXABL, the next Theranos
Hi Kerry, Thanks a lot for all the information. Do you know that if I live in the UK, am I will be able to purchase it ? And if yes, who will build it? And is shipping going to be expensive? Or are they going to build a factory in Europe? And are they going to be selling it to Europe?
Eventually they’ll sell/ship world wide. I think the goal is to have factory partners all over the world not sure when that will happen
@@KerryTarnow thank you for getting back to me promptly. I hope it will not take long.
I am interested in a few of these in Alberta, Canada. Can we get manufacturing started in that area?
How refreshing to see the owner state we are not where we need to be in the version because the current version is not good enough. Which brings me back to my comment oh two months ago or so, how long should these last? Yes one can say along time. But put it into practice and wait 7 years or so to see how it is holding up is another story. It should be rated for hot weather, cold weather and some berry pie in between.
They were floating the idea of a 99 year warranty, although I don’t think that’s been publicized or approved yet. But it goes to issue of how resilient they think these units will be. They’re built like a tank.
@@radiofreealbemuth8540 Not exactly true, tho. Especially NOT when you put them right on the ground! Bad, BAD idea.
"Water intrusion." Mold. Mildew. That's what the military people were saying.
So, nowhere NEAR 99 years. Lol!
You'd be better off in a tent, at this point.
This is ridiculous. Even if they were able to produce 1000 units a year and ship them to people on their waiting list, it would take up to 160 years for everyone to get their Boxabl.
Their ultimate goal is to automate as many factory processes as possible, similar to a car factory. Which would rapidly increase output.
i hope boxzilla goes to texas, i think it would help with more flexible shipping in the future
Thats a good point
From the number on their current waiting list, they need to build and get out the door, 3.28 homes a minute, 18.26 an hour, 438.35 a day, 7 days a week 365 non stop to meet demand. They've got their work cut out for them.
Thats a lot! 🤯
I wouldn't jump on this bandwagon til they FIX the obvious, basic problems.
Mold. Mildew. Water intrusion, probably from stupidly setting them RIGHT on the ground. You'll notice all old houses, you have to STEP UP for this reason. See what the military said about them.
Are these ever gonna be available or just taking investors money and will they increase beyond affordability when they finally do become available what type of loan would we need to get one and plumbing and electrical
Your channel gained a bunch of subs, eh?
It has! Thanks for watching
I’ve heard it only comes with 3 walls.
And no floor 😆
One day boxabl will be a great thing for the public/regular joe. Exactly when that one day is, no one knows… kinda like that hot girl when you were a teenager. Stringing you along with all potential of making your dreams come true… you just can’t help but follow their every move… lol. Thanks for the tease, oh, I mean update…
Man I wish I own the land they are buying I'm sure the price has gone up on any land nearby this is great great great you should just move to Vegas and get daily scoops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure a cat gets excited at the thought of sitting in a cardboard box, but I have no inclination to want to buy one of these.
Keep in mind maybe hundreds of people are in the waiting lists. And the CEO still trying to have things get together. Specifically the supplies are in demands. So thats why theirs a waiting list. Also, it cost money. And investors are inventing in this kinda business. So basically we understand how the cycles are.
Thanks for the video, flaws are quite evident throughout these houses that should be built better, not trendy... but I can clearly see impractical design, unsafe design, not handicap friendly design & not environmentally friendly design, things that can be improved especially for children or older people or all ages, this is not a play doll house, it is to made for real people with safety & environment in mind because it is a new design & should be better than previous or other built houses!
Whats the cost to buy this 3-bedroom boxable home before shipping?
They dont have the price finalized but somewhere between 160 and 180k
@@KerryTarnow Thank you!
So how much is that 2 story boxabl? 180,000?
I think it’ll end up being less but that is the estimate for now
Square footage?
By the time they scale up the casita will probably cost 2-3X more.
If you get on their waiting list they don’t send you any kind of confirmation, leaving you wondering. If you call them, they say they cannot look you up. Apparently there is no system in which the reps can look you up. 🤨
Thats strange
i would bet money they come to Texas the next couple of years. everyone else is. Texas is huge and will need houses.
I wouldnt be surprised
Tell them to contact a Factory Automation firm so they can increase production.
I think they’ve been working with consultants from Porche
Can these Boxabl homes start folding (or unfolding?) during a strong wind or an earthquake? That would be seriously weird - and potentially painful.
they say they are hurricane and earthquake and blizzard safe
They are completely secure and have hurricane straps and anchors that can be installed to the cement and behind exterior trim boards.
No roof?! Good gravy... lol.
Hahaha right?
Pricing is outrageously high .. there are kitset homes in the UK half the price and twice as big.
Shoot me the names! Would love to check them out
Can research Manufactured PASSIVE homes? Do they exist?
I'll see what I can find.
I love the 2 story but its a little too big for me. 2 boxes, 2 storey, small balcony 650(ish) sq ft. Something in between the current 2 would be perfect.
Thats a great idea!
@@KerryTarnow Thanks. Do you know of any prefab/tiny house companies around 600sq ft with loft? I really like the Mint tiny house, but id prefer something that isn't on a trailer, i have no intention of moving it..
You can cantilever a 2 story 2box set up to create a deck and a carport. This means half the top boxabl hangs off the side of the bottom boxabl.
@@radiofreealbemuth8540 Id like if Boxable made that, but seems like a lot of work, to renovate both boxes.
When are they actually going to open this to the consumer
4th quarter
@@KerryTarnow you think bocable’s will be cheaper than ‘steel home Modular’ based out of Miami?
Economies of scale is a thing, just look at Tesla. Assuming a company stay's agile and constantly seeks to improve, the product will improve and gradually get cheaper to produce. This may lead to price reductions down the line. Never forget though that at the end of the day, its a business so needs to make a certain amount of margin to stay alive.
Exactly! Well said
Then the housing crash happens and you can buy houses with land for 75k what would happen to boxable
They already have a third building
I went to their website, but I couldn't find any of their prices.👎🏾
Kerry how does on go about contacting you?
They need to move to Texas.
Seems like a smart play
Bangladesh plz....
the prices should be going down, they need to automate everything
Agree to an extent, they held at $50k while every other manufacturer increased significantly. I think as they implement automation that will come. Thanks for watching!
If they can hold prices where they are while simultaneously ramping up the quality (ie., quartz countertops, interesting exterior options, window upgrades, etc.) then that will also be an accomplishment.
1:12 Last month it was $50k and still no one is getting them?
Why shouldn't manufacturer homes be discontinued since they are not hurricane proof and these factories converted to Boxable Homes and land restrictions be eliminated except possibly by square footage use. 🤔 Not so called trailer parks that have a negative impact and perspective of . Like terms of trailer trash and there really poor they live in a trailer or roads that aren't paved in areas where people have trailers manufactured houses.
It should be like any othe
Residential area. Safe clean paved roads running water electricity sewers etc . Take all those mobile home manufacturing plants and redo them to Boxable homes. People may pay less for a mobile home but then lot space is high ,insurance is higher than on regular homes , electric HVAC bills higher because the interior walls and probably the exterior walls are not of the same quality as a non manufactured home
Maybe set these up around East Palestine and get those families away from ground zero.
So fourth quarter? They aren't giving out where people are on their list sadly.
I have a copy of the list! Jk I dont
@@KerryTarnow you'd make a fortune off it...a dollar a peek.
@@TheStipple haha no kidding! 🤑
What does he mean "nobody blame me if it doesn't happen"
they are giving enough time to allow land owners to build water, septic, hydro and a basement by themselves. Its any wonder why there is no one not setting up another company that does that for people in the country
And u still can't get them and they raise the prices simply because there is a demand for them.
thanks for watching
