Dear all, I am aware that I have been less than active on my channel. So I decided to share this performance from my live stream. I am playing a concert in Gelsenkirchen July 30th, where we will perform most of my album Folkesange. Hope to see some of you there! ᛗYᚱᛕVᚱ
“Seek ye out of The Book of The LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for My mouth it hath commanded, and His Spirit it hath gathered them.” Isaiah - Chapter 34:16
Same. To me it's probably bc, my ancestors were from North and my body is reacting to the song they might have sang. These are just so beautiful and strong
This woman is so under appreciated and a living Nordic treasure! I'm not even Scandinavian but I just love this music and feel it through my flesh and bone and soul. And it's just so easy for her music to take me to another world and time and give me that much needed peace of mind! 🌿 Thank you so much for this live version Myrkur!

This strikes very deep. It cuts through the trappings of our self imposed human world and reminds us of the primal power we all have hidden inside, transporting us to what we truly are. Punctuated and directed by those antlers! Thank you for the gift of this music 🔥
That particular military camp i believe I know all to well. My time in the navy was spent in that pool and the area around it.. plus a lot of time on the open sea battling the elements of the scandinavian seas. Kudos to the fantastic music and the whole eerie scenary
So many Americans are lost from our ancestral countries and culture after the 4 to 5 generations that we now represent. A loss so significant it breaks the heart but with the ability to see and hear even just a bit of it in these modern times heals and soothes the soul. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and beautiful music. ❤ Big love from somewhere in California.
I'm 3rd gen Scandinavian. Mostly Sweedish with a touch of Norwegian. I love the U.S. Maybe not as free as it used to be but still more than our ancestral countries. The ability to have some land, protect ourselves and live any kind of life we want. Having said that, I 100% agree. Most people don't even know they had traditional, culture and even a native people. I'm bringing it back to my family as best as I can. I was lucky to get glimpses from a child. Nursery rhymes and stories from my great grandfather. I practice the old traditions that were lost from outsiders. Cook traditional foods, brew traditional beers, make instruments, plant foods. It has filled my sole. Even moved North back home to have seasons.
I do not know what, but there is something in this music that runs trough me, something ancient and unifying, that is absolutely wonder-full. I am getting the vinyl version, this is fantastic!
woman does music like no other. sings with power in her voice. not anger. not happy. nor sad. something means alot to her and comes through in the power of her singing. this is why i listen to it. to her. more you sing. the more Lestat will listen. this..i promise :)
The first stanza, something let loose in my chest and I took my first relaxed breath in months. Ancestors, help me heal and increase my strength to honor you properly
I love your music so much. Ramund is my ever favourite song of you, so glad you Interpreted it. ❤ It was the opening song in Gelsenkirchen last year, and when we were walking down the stairs towards the stage, we were not prepared to find this otherworldly scenery there.
I want to buy the ability to watch all of the songs from this stream- I was camping when it went live :( . I've watched the Tor i Helheim so many times because something in my bones feels like it's familiar.
The EXACT same for me with that song/video. I’m Mexican-German American but this music is so familiar, comfortable and strengthening to me… I don’t really understand what’s up with that
I absolutely love your music and feeling. You remind me of Nornir. Have met them before in a bad accident, spent a lot of time with them sifting through my memories and remembering my life, before I came back. (14 minutes with no heart beat or activity)
This video was actually shot in the pool of the training bassin, at the naval base where I was stationed until 2001 - it has been abandoned for a bit over 10 years... 10 YEARS!!! Look at the plants! They are even in the ventilation system 4 meters above ground. Behind Myrkur, you can see tiny little windows. They are from an equipmenttunnel going all the way down behind the wall, letting you look out at the swimmers from underneath. There was underwater loudspeakers there, an advanced smoking system, lightshow - everything you needed to simulate leaving a shipside during battle. Amazing what 10 years can do to a building...
Your music is absolutely stellar. You’ve got such a great voice and I love getting to hear you all performing such old songs. It’s like getting to hear the history of music!
Thank you for sharing another track from this amazing recording. Over time I hope you’ll share the full recording for those of us that didn’t catch the live stream.
Cara, que coisa mais linda... Eu sempre me encanto com essas canções. Pretendo um ter filho um dia, e apresentar essas canções a ele, viajar para a Dinamarca, Noruega, Suécia e outros... A cultura desses países é encantadora.

Great to hear from you, love these videos
♥Folkesange
Will be there in Gelsenkirchen, cant wait!
Я вас обожаю, вы лучшие. Ваша группа должна существовать очень долго
I don't know why am I such a sucker for a Nordic folk, but this is a goosebump factory!
it has a very passionate and primitive feel. like haveing a spell upon you
Being found of something doesn't make you a sucker. Be proud of the things you like.

that kinda music which stops the time ,then you start having a deep conversation with your soul without even saying a single word.
I had dinner but I was still hungry. I had water but I was still thirsty. Then I had some Myrkur and now I feel at peace.

The way these different musicians become one from the very first note! So impressive!
❤
The magic of the antlers mate! :-D

This is the best thing I've heard.
Greetings from Brazil.
This is war music for the soul the war some of us have to fight everyday. I wish you all good vibes.

Americans really think folkish pop with antlers and face paint is scandinavian culture?
@@vreevroow Do tell where is the real traditional music to be found then? Antlers and face paint have nothing to do with my admiration of this song.
I can’t express how much hearing and watching this, today of all days, means to me. Thank you
All kinds of love and respect from El Paso Texas USA
Danke für diese tief tief berührende Musik. 💞
