yea, I think you are supposed to ride the clutch for a second untill car grips and clutch engages. Sure it does get little wear in the process, but you would have to make perhaps 100 of launches to casue some significant damage.

@@extracoolboy plus you can adjust (and you really should, to match the grip you have or don't have on a particular tire/ surface/ temperature scenario) the rev limit for the launch, disable traction control and do it properly not just dumping the clutch and hope it sticks for f#$k sake...and the bar in the trunk is removable for that very reason of being able to slide stuff in but how often do you do that in a sporty car like that?!?!...I have the hatch version of the car but try not to be subjective about this but it seems he didn't actually checked the car in enough detail to make a proper informed review with correct info...and also seems he's just barely able to refrain himself from moking any of the cars under review...if you look through the series almost no car if any can impress this dude...really?!?! I see it as childish and arrogant...but hey that's just me.

Incredible value for a good looking practical high performance car with more standard kit than you can shake a stick at. The chassis is superbly set up for a fun experience.

I have a 2018 i30N hatch and I got the 19's as standard with the 275bhp performance version.
I think it's an awesome car and would not change it.
They upgraded the suspension for better grip. Thats the biggest change. It s the same car
I have the 2019 i30n hatch, just had a stage 2 map and bigger turbo and intercooler, 0-60 now is 4.7 secs 322bhp
I have the "boring" not-N version of the Fastback and it's still a fun car to drive, especially as a daily, I bet I'd be blown away to drive the N.

@@leweee that's awesome and it's pretty quick, I've had a 4.6 in my mom's GLA 45 AMG but that costs like double the Hyundai so its a pretty cool car for the price
yung Traxxlorrr I have launched it. Got 6.5 seconds with mine. I find the front tires always dig down. I can’t work out if it’s the car or just that the tires need more grip
@@MDWPlays nah it's not a tire problem, it's got enough grip it's just that it's front wheel drive and doesn't have the torque to overcome frictional forces that's why it bogs down. But the times scored by the Hyundai are still pretty good so I don't mind the bogging
You would get better 0-60 times if slipped the clutch a little bit on your launch. It's a small turbo engine, of course it's going to bog down if you just drop a 100% load on it

After owning a hatch version for 1year and a half i can say it still hasn't become boring. Smiles for miles. Also first upgrade that improved the car is the tires. Michelin PS4S tires just makes it better.

I have the hatch i30N and I did 5.8 seconds 0-100km/h.
Dont think the tyres on that car are doing too well considering temps in the uk are getting colder

@@MotoMario1 the car have a configuration that allows you to see the time you take to the speed you want.
@@marcelolopes4049 But the car doesn´t show you the exact speed. So the times aren´t exact eather. Car speedos are measuring up to 10% plus 4km/h (2.5 mph) higher to prevent you from speeding. Try it with a 10hz GPS like in this video. It will show you the real time your car need for 0-60 or what you want to see. Your 5.8 s time is worthless.

I have driven the regular i30 and its a brilliant car; this must be insane.
My friend just bought a i30 hatchback and it's amazing. Now he's trolling me to buy one too...
All these comments on how slow it is by people who don’t own the car and probably will never drive it.
I’ve had the fastback N for 4 weeks now and can honestly say, for a front wheel car, the power it produces is pretty much perfect. How many people actually go around all day laughing their cars from 0-60? No one!
In the real world this car is plenty fast enough with loads of torque and an amazing exhaust the car optimises what a hot hatch should be...fun!

My i30n hatch does 0-60 in like 5.1 sec XD All you gotta do is take traction control off and keep the gas punched in while shifting real quick XD

I didn't realise the i30N existed as a fastback, but I love it.
You can remove the rear strut brace yourself btw
We could also remove the seatbelts by ourselves. But I assume belts and brace are there for safety reasons...
@@shinguin6233 You assume because youre an idiot. The brace is an option you can select when buying the car, not for safety but for stability in corners when driving sporty.
Its a gimmick, not vital to survive a crash.

Actually, you're right, it's their fault (acceleration 0-60mph), because a lot of i30 N's doesn't have the power they should have (275PS performance versions). It's pretty common issue, not all cars are affected, but some of them are. And the worst thing is, Hyundai don't give AF. 😀

Cool car but after driving one I had a sneaking suspicion that my 18 year old Honda Integra Type R would give it a run for its money... Sure enough it has the same power to weight ratio, same 0-60 times and we drag raced them and they were dead even as well. Sure the i30 is a more liveable car, but I dunno. I feel the racket that comes out the exhaust doesn't really match the performance it delivers...

The picture of the i30n hatchback is the one with 19" wheels, the 18" ones look different.
