I can't think of a specific item that I regret buying but I often buy clothes I already have multiples of, and then I forget about some of them... because I physically can't wear 7 hoodies, 4 cardigans and 8 knitted sweaters a week. 🙈🙈🙈 So I like all of them enough to wear but it just kills me that I don't ever get to some of them 😭
A pair of James jeans. Uhg. They didn't fit perfectly and the sales girl told me they stretch a lot so I bought them. She was wrong. They don't fit at all and they've sat in my drawer for two years because I can't bring myself to get rid of them since I wore them like once. 🥵
I agree with the Gucci slides. They were my first designer purchase. They are beautiful but not comfortable. I have only worn them a handful of times. Not enough times for how much I paid for them.
keep the biker jacket, girl you glow when you have it on. even if you do not wear it too often, like this is a special peace. It actuallt has a lot of good reasons behind it and maybe you can pass it on to someone one day. I have been through this path of decluterring and i have given up a lot of clothes, but i have this mega extra sequine dress which i did buy for a super fancy wedding of my friend and while i have currently no ocasion to wear it, whenever i put it on it reminds me of that wedding, that friend and it looks just georgeus and I glow like you wearing that jacket. Minimalism is great and decluttering is fantastic, but this item sparks so much joy when you talk ab it.
She lit up. And it fits well. Make it a challenge to wear it for an entire month and you’ll figure out what it works best with - and you will get a ton of compliments.
Oh man. When my husband finished residency and got a “real job”, he offered to get me a tote (Gucci, LV, whatever). We even talked about going to Bergdorf’s to buy a Goyard tote. I had been thinking about buying one but couldn’t pull the trigger. Now that they are *everywhere*, I’m so glad I didn’t buy one. I stuck with my trusty, lightweight Longchamp totes and usually put everything in a Trader Joe’s canvas bag because I can’t be bothered! I really appreciate your honesty. It’s refreshing when everyone isn’t drinking the Kool-aid!
The designer items stand out as “worst purchases”...But my greatest waste of time/resources can be attributed to impulse buying (Zara, etc). The cumulative losses are overlooked because “it’s only $15 -$119”. I’m constantly decluttering. 😏
I think all my worst purchases can be put under one category: Not knowing who I am. This allows me to 'adopt' another's style and the only reason I'm attracted to that other style is that she pulls it off with confidence because she knows who she is and therefore wears her clothes instead of them wearing her. All of your worst purchases are SUPER cool... just on somebody else. So sad.
I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again. Hang the jacket up as a wall hanging like you would a macrame wall piece. It would look sooo cool. If you find the perfect moment to wear it you can, otherwise you can just admire it like you would a painting...a fashion painting. 💕
I think you should keep the leather jacket! Unlike the other items here, it seemed that your description and reasoning for buying it was rooted in personal history versus external presssures. I think it’s ok to have some things you don’t wear very often. As someone that also tries to keep my wardrobe minimal I have a few items like this and I get a lot of joy out of pulling them out even if it’s not as frequent as I’ve told myself things “should” be worn.
That’s true! I didn’t think of it from that perspective - it said “mom” to me right away, instead of the usual “you will fix me” I used to default to thinking. ❤️
I'm definitely obsessed with the idea of "perfect jeans." I had a pair and then grew out of them/shrunk them and at some point last fall bought a pair of $150 jeans, didn't like them, and then bought a $250 pair of jeans and didn't like them either. I wish I had returned both of them instead of trying to keep them because they were expensive.
Thank you for being so honest and sharing your journey with us! I think a lot of the worst purchases are linked to your emotional journey and it sounds totally valid. A good reminder that impulse purchasing linked to the ebb and flow of our emotions can be unhealthy for our souls. I’m trying to learn this myself!
Your story is so familiar to me. When I started grad school, I bought two pairs of Gucci loafers with my student loan money. It was the height of insecurity (I realize now that spend money when I am anxious) and irresponsibility. Plus, the hard leather killed my feet, prompting me to sell them. I also bought a Burberry trench because it is always touted as a "must" for a classic wardrobe. A couple of months ago, I bought AirPods because I felt embarrassed about appearing old fashioned, even though I only use them at home, where no one but my boyfriend sees them. The right one has the tendency to fall out unexpectedly. I still prefer them to wireless Powerbeats Pro, which I received for a present. They hurt the top of my ears so much. More recently, I went a little palette crazy, buying the Natasha Denona Bronze Eyeshadow Palette. I learned the expensive lesson that I like shimmer, not glitter eyeshadows. At least I can avoid making this mistake in the future, a small comfort admittedly. Also, at least I had the money to pay for these purchases rather than charging them. I really, really need to work on truly appreciating what I have and stop trying to create the "perfect" make-up collection and capsule wardrobe. Thank you so much for being so brave and honest about your struggles. You are truly an inspiration!
Thank you for your video. Beautiful pieces can still be poor purchases if they don’t fit with your style, lifestyle or budget. 💜 I really enjoyed hearing your thought process and journey on these items from desire to purchase and the ensuing reality. I think that we can be sometimes be too tough on ourselves, sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s ok too. It would be cool to hear what your five best purchases were in the last 12 months. 👍
I had the same experience with AirPod pros. I finally experimented with the different sized ear pieces that came in the box. It worked! I ended up with a different size in each ear and they both stay in now. Hope that works for you too!
keep the fringe! it fits so well, it’s rare to find a vintage leather jacket that has a more modern fit (usually they have shoulder pads, wide arms and a tapered waist)
Your rule of logging how many times I’ve actually thought I’ve needed something has really curbed my impulse buying and focussed better what I did purchase. Thank you 🙏
I love the Princetown loafers. They are very comfortable and versatile. I actually have 2 pairs . Reality is that every style is not for everyone. Too bad they didn’t work for you. But, I enjoy mine and they have held up really well. Thanks.
@@lizziebkennedy7505 Hi, no blisters. I have to squeeze my foot while walking in the shoe to keep them on me until they were broken in. Otherwise, they are comfy slip ons.
So true... l always buy things to be a cool girl. Then I realized 1.l am already am a cool girl. I got the degree, the smarts, the guy. 2. To be a Cool girl l need a thing that can't be bought- a diet, which l need. I can't also buy my way out of my chronic pain. Which will make me a cool hiking active girl. 3. I need to start exercising 4. Feeling like a cool girl is a never ending chase for the next clothes or gadgets. 5. I am not a minimalist. I am a maximalist
I think the leather jacket is so unique and cool that you might regret it if you ever parted with it! Even if you only wear it occasionally I think it will make you happy x
This is one of the most honest and introspective fashion videos I have watched. I relate to a lot of the things you are saying here. First time watching. You have yourself a new subscriber.
Most people in my country (Bulgaria) including me, feel very cringy about wearing slides outdoor. I think it's because in the previous 20-30 years the trend of the slides was overexposed by some may say controversial social groups (kinda like the striper shoes stigma). I try not to feel this when I see someone wearing slides, but seriously. When I saw vloggers buying these expensive slides I felt real shock. In the thrift shops here, we have dupes like these for a bug and only grannies would wear them nowadays. And you are beautiful and they look somehow stylish on you but not because of the shoes, but because of your overall. I understand everything you said with my heart. I know what is like to fell in love with an item and pair it with everything. I am like that with Doc Martens. Although I am a thrifter and low buy fan, I made my decision to save money and buy those boots and I will one way or another. 😌 And the jacket... Keep it. This is a masterpiece, not a wardrobe piece.
9:55-Ah, that encapsulates all my most expensive worst purchases-I project this lifestyle and persona unto them and it lets me fantasize about what my life, personality and mentality will be and I become obsessed with them, I convince myself that I need them and they'll be useful and they'll downright change my life (I KNOW, how ridiculous can desperation get me?!) until I purchase them, then I come to my senses and realize that OBVIOUSLY, that's not how things work. Or sometimes I see a beautiful piece of art, clothing, or furniture, and it's mesmerizing, I must have it!! And after I purchase it and I own it, and I have it in my hands, amongst all my other, everyday possessions and it's part of my life, from shiny and mesmerizing it somehow becomes lacklustre and it loses its magic, or if somehow it doesn't, instead it makes me feel inferior, because a beautifully embellished garment or a visually stunning, skilfully painted art piece, or a well-made, quality furniture/object bring out all the other stuff that are inferior by comparison.
A diamond tennis bracelet. Didn’t even do my husband the courtesy of a discussion before buying it - not that he would have objected. Still have it but the guilt and impracticality haunt me still. 🤦♀️
Thank you so much for this video. Your self awareness is amazing and what you said really resonated with me. Specifically about thinking that owning an item will solve an emotional problem, or lead to you a future state of being more than. I have often had that thought where if I just had a specific thing, I'd somehow be a better person and you're right, so often nothing changes because of it.
Thank you for your vulnerability on your worst purchases it has helped me refocus and remember why I purchase what I purchase. During the pandemic I wasn’t buying anything at the beginning and then I lost it a bit and I’ve been trying to get my perspective back and this helped a lot
I was able to test out my husband’s AirPods before buying some, and I had exactly the same issues as you. Oddly enough, they never fall out of his ears! He wears them allllllllll the time. I bought Bluetooth Beats that are kind of like an AirPod that loops over the ear. Highly recommend.
I had the same problem with the AirPods. I ended up ordering some cheap memory foam ear tips from amazon and I found that those were a little smaller and gripped inside my ear better. Plus they still fit in the charging case without having to carry anything extra with them.
Love this video! I have purchased so many items that I truly DO NOT NEED but allowed social media to drive me in the direction to make the splurge! Last few weeks I’ve been really conscious about my spending and how I can better that.
My worst purchases are everything I ever bought that I never wore then it went out the door (just like my money) to Goodwill 😭 I hope whoever bought any of my stuff got a lot of use out of them!! Obsessing over things I want is such a problem that I’m working on 🙁 your videos are so helpful! Trying very very hard to stop shopping 😊
Some people impress others by name dropping...I know George Clooney kind of thing. Or where I traveled to...Monaco sort of thing. But for me it's "SIDE PLANK" and woman you totally impressed me. You said it like pass the salt shaker..."when I am side planking the buds fall out". Meaning more than once, like often, as in all the time. IMPRESSED TOTALLY! You go girl! : )
Love your honesty and vulnerability in this vid. We have all made a purchase that keeps us awake at night! Hope you sold or started wearing them more ☺️
I had that problem with the AirPods as well, using the smallest tip helped to not push them out of my ear canal. Also, getting “covers” helped a ton. I know it’s another thing to buy on top of an expensive product but they are a game changer and are inexpensive themselves. As well as the sticks going straight done lol. I’m stuck in a biological hood most of the day and the pros are great because they drown out the sound of the air flow and allow me to do voice commands.
This video came at the right time for me. I am eyeing a preloved luxury bag that I really want to get, but gives me that yucky guilty feeling just thinking about it.
Totally! I think if you have the money for it and evaluate how often and why you want it, then go for it and enjoy it! But If there’s doubt, wait it out ❤️
My worst purchase was a couple of months ago and was an oversized blazer as well. I didn't check the measurements and bought it from an IG vintage shop account. The blazer was beautiful and I love the look on other people and I thought I just needed to snatch it up before someone else did. When it arrived I hated how the oversized look looked on me and consigned it for significantly less than I paid. Still kicking myself about it now.
You look pretty happy in the fringed jacket. I think you should keep it until you're clear, one way or another, about it. I found some pointy, Italian booties on ebay for like $14, and never wore them - for years! But then I started to wear them, and I'm really glad I lived with the "clutter" for those years until I was ready to wear them! Really appreciate your ruminations on impulse shopping. Same.
I bought $500 worth of clothes for my birthday, thinking I would return anything that didn't fit. But then the printer broke and my hubby's grandma went into hospice, and I wasn't able to return anything in time. I was stuck with $250 worth of junk that I couldn't wear/use.
My most conflicting items are 2 Burberry coats (a trench and a winter coat)... I love them and feel great wearing them, but my debt spiralled after purchasing them, as in my twisted mind it meant I was up to 'the next' level of style.. Great video! Love your challenge. NO buy 2021 for me thanks to you. Xx
About my worst purchases, most of them are really really beautiful shoes I can't walk in so I can't also wear hahaha. So sad, I'm a sucker for a shoes that look beautiful.
PUT THAT FRINGE LEATHER ON AND WEAR IT! It is so cute. Do not get rid of it. Put it on when you go shopping or to the grocery store. Wear it to restaurants. Wear it on a date. Make times to wear it. I can totally understand about the shoes. Those slides and boots are so fashion forward and cute but if a shoe is uncomfortable, that's misery. If you can sell the slides, do it. The chain boots are cute but sell them as well. I have to try on my shoes first because I have such hard feet to fit and they are a mess. When you find a brand you love, stick with them. Buying online can be murder if you are buying shoes and they don't fit or are uncomfortable. I'm one that does not return so I am stuck with an item. I have heard RAY CON make ear buds that are ten times better than Apple ear buds. I have heard from lots of people that they suck and that they are way too expensive. Next time you buy, try the RAY CON. I regret buying animal print booties. They were a hundred dollars but they were too tight. i've worn them once and I was miserable in them but I love their look. Don't know what to do other than sell them but I won't be able to get all my money back from them.
I saw clueless for the first time a couple months ago and I fell in love with a jacket Cher wore in one scene to the point where I impulsively bought a lookalike online the same night, and when it finally arrived, I realized it didn't match or really work well with almost anything in my closet. 😅💀 BIG lesson learned on that one!
I would keep the leather jacket. It's beautiful and you look beautiful in it. I had an embroidered jean jacket that I loved but couldn't wear because it always felt a little tight. I kept it for about 10 years because it was my favorite piece in my wardrobe. I'd pull it out and remember the day my daughter and I were shopping and found it. I finally got rid of it about 3 years ago and I miss it terribly. It would fit me perfectly now. I realize in the scheme of life, these things are not that important, but sometimes it's these little things that make us happy. You looked so happy in that jacket as you mentioned your Mom. Blessings from California XXX
Perfect timing as I have Gucci loafers on my list of wants... I think I need to really analyze why I want them. I already bought a nice affordable leather loafer but feel that the Gucci’s will magically be better? Idk. We will see. I like how you identified sentimental reasoning with the leather jacket purchase. Yes it’s cool and unique- but is it you? Same with the biker influence of those awesome boots. If it is you then keep them. More thought on that first I guess. I’m in this phase of who do I want my clothes and stuff to show me to be... and it’s a lot deeper of a question than I ever realized! Videos like this help me keep going and prevent poor choices so thanks!
Make sure you research about the fit. Years ago I bought two hard leather Gucci loafers, which absolutely destroyed my feet. I wore them less than five times before selling them at a huge loss.
Worst purchase... finally buying a pair of Frye boots and only wearing a couple times before I got pregnant. Then my feet got a whole size bigger and never wore the boots again 😭 I did resell them but didn’t get anywhere near what I bought them for. Thanks for sharing, this really resonates with me. All the things I’ve bought that wanted so bad in the moment ended up just being part of a wardrobe graveyard...Instead of buying a bunch of stuff I don’t need, I just paid $1000 on my credit card. I keep thinking about how much more money I could save if I didn’t keep barely paying off debt. These videos have been helping to stay motivated!
my worst purchases were those stuart weitzman nudist barely there heels that every influencer was wearing several years ago. I bought 2 pairs and never wore them!
I feel like my worst purchase would be a dress that i bought. I have a little bit of a tummy and dont feel too comfortable wearing tight fitting clothes usually. Its a black long dress. Its tight, it has some ruffles and rouching and the length for once was perfect for my mini height of 1,55 cm. BUT it was rather expensive for my standards from Ralph Lauren and it is like an occassion dress, really elegant and stuff. So i tried it on in the store, fell in love (my bf was there as well and approved) put it on once, but i dont feel confident wearing it again atm cause my weight is fluctuating and i dont wanna wear it atm
For me if it's a ''maybe'' item when it comes to buying, then I don't buy it because I will end up not wearing it. Same with decluttering process, if there is a ''maybe I will wear it'', most likely it will go during my next declutter. It's an 'if' item for a reason. I no longer really have many items I am unsure of, which is amazing! However in the past, during the clearouts if there was a more expensive item, I would just give it away because if I have to try and find a way to wear it or feel guilt if I don't wear it, it's not worth it. It's much better to have a wardrobe that you love and that loves you right back! 🌼
Have recently sold some clothes- not for a lot but was happy to inhabit the circular economy. I bought a dress layered boho style from Anthropologie and it fitted well looked nice but there was something about the style that I knew it meant it would stay in my cupboard all spring and summer ( I am in the Southern Hemisphere). It was a good lesson in understanding what my fantasy style is and what I wear in reality. IT was a lovely dress fitted well and looked nice ( was even on sale which is a real hot button for me) but was just too far out of my comfort zone in terms of what I normally wear. I am getting into dresses for the summer but I have now figured out what my style is and what I will realistically wear. A good lesson which I will remember new question for when purchasing “Will I actually wear this or will it remain admired in my wardrobe?
For the Airpods Pro's, I would try using the other size of silicone tips that come in the box. There should be small, medium, and large tips included. It's probably that the tips you're using are too big and not properly fitting to begin with (or too small)! Also, try wearing them with the stems pointed down while they're in your ear. You can stick them in at an angle and then rotate them down while they're in your ear. That could provide a better seal.
Christina, the oversized jacket made me laugh. Thank you for being so genuine and sharing this with us. I have seen this trend online and I know it’s in fashion but seriously, it looks like we are playing dress ups with our parents clothes when we were 5 years old.
Maybe keep the jacket. Love that it reminds you of your mom. Maybe there’s a leather person that could alter it in a way to make you love it. Or display it in your home. I got ray ban sunglasses and can’t stand them. They’re heavy and pull out my hair every time I love them from my head to my face. Just not functional for me even though everyone seems to love them. Bummer. To the resale pile.
Each bad purchase I've made taught me something about my style, my budget, my lifestyle, not to make impulse purchases, and not to let other people tell me what is "essential" for me. Sometimes we just learn best by experience.
I worked in a couple of shoe shops when I was a teen, and one of the useful things I learned is that any shoe that isn’t comfortable is a waste of money and will damage your feet. Don’t do it! That said, I’ve convinced myself to waste money on beautiful shoes that aren’t comfortable. :)
I would not wear the fringed biker jacket myself…but it looks awesome on you. Love that it reminds you of your mom. Maybe keep that one. You look great in it!
I had the same feeling with my AirPods. I had to wear them quite some time to get used to them, also they hurt my ears during the first days. I changed the top parts and tried every size of them. Also watched a lot of yt tutorials on them. I think that’s a good example for advertising works. I thought they’re will be great and it was a bummer for me that they didn’t work immediately. But happy Ending... they’re are now one of my favourite things that I purchased during the last months. I hope you can make them work for you, too ! Wish you luck :)
Right? I heard stories of people dropping them in toilets etc and that turned me off so much! I did order a cheaper alternative to them and so far like them. I feel at $60 I won’t be so upset if something tragic happens to them.
@@kimberlyle3083 actually I use the biggest buds to go with them. and I screw them in my ear to get the right position. I do think also that my ear get used to them. But I guess they don't work for everyone. For me they worked after a few weeks I would say, but I had the same first impression on them.
I was so scared to buy my AirPods because the thought of spending over $100 on was insane to me, even though $120 for AirPods are considered a good deal. But I use them pretty much all day and forget they’re even in my ear. I can multitask so much better now. They’re definitely not for everyone but it’s perfect for me and one of my favorite purchases in my adulthood
I know you don't want to spend anymore money on gadgets but I honestly LOVE the Powerbeats Pro (from Apple)...they are water/sweatproof and have a hook around your ear so they never fall out during workouts. Just seeing this video now!
I felt such a strong desire for the gucci slides and loafers. The looked incredible in pictures, and they seemed like the thing I needed to complete my outfits. I've loved and used the Sam Edleman loafers for years (oldest pair going strong at 3years old), so I thought it was reasonable to try the Gucci. I hated them when I tried on in store. Hated! I thought it looked terrible on me, but I still felt this pressure to buy because I wanted them for so long from afar. Fortunately, I did not buy them, but it's insane how impulsive these things can become.
I SOOO can relate to the way-too-big blazer situation/fiasco. Definitely been there but I like to think I've learned a thing or two about how to find tailored pieces that actually fit my frame.
I have the 2nd gen AirPods (regular, not pro). They are one of the BEST things I ever purchased! I’ve used them almost every day for 3 years. So maybe try the “regular” AirPods and not the Pro? They might work better. Mine never fall out of my ears, and I use them for running also.
Ahhh I love my air pods (not pro) no widest when I work out , clean or chat.. thanks to them I listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks My worst purchase is an all saints leather jacket. Bought because my twin sis was looking so cool in hers and I was feeling like a mumsy grey mouse. Now I really found my style and no longer feel inadequate I like the look of it but I never wear it. I’m loving your videos xx
My worst purchases are also shoes, particularly heels. I keep falling in love with and buying heels all of the time even though I know that 99% of the time I wear flats or sneakers because I live in NYC and I'm likely going to have to run to catch the subway. Not to mention I can't stand being uncomfortable!
I just found you recently and watched this. Please update us as to whether you kept the fab fringe jacket. I was so glad to see you had a lot of encouragement to keep it because it’s true your face lit up talking about it. Hoping!
Hmmm.....probably a couple dresses I have not yet worn, but still can. Shoes, for sure, that I've already donated & sold. Most of the time it's because I didn't know my style & the important aspects of a purchase. With shoes, I've learned they not only must be beautiful, classic & versatile, but very comfortable as I have very sensitive feet. Luckily, right now I'm in a sweet spot with my style and wardrobe, very very happy.
About the AirPods, my husband has a pair of the AirPod pros too. Sometimes I borrow them because I’m not interested in having my own for the same reason I just don’t think they fit my ears that well. My left ear has a conch piercing so the AirPod doesn’t sit in my ear properly and can fall out. The right one is better but I just don’t feel like it’s secure enough lol. But my husband loves them so I don’t know guess it depends on your ears.
The slides are too small. The boots are scary. But that fringed jacket-that looks incredible on you! You need to keep that and wear it EARLY and OFTEN!
What’s your worst purchase of recent memory? Why? ❤️

Probably the last 3 pairs of stiletto pointy toe pumps. I absolutely love them, but cost per wear is really not worth it 😔
My worst purchase would have to be the Chloe Faye bag! It’s a gorgeous piece but I don’t use it often and I have to be really careful with the suede.
I agree with the Gucci slides. They were my first designer purchase. They are beautiful but not comfortable. I have only worn them a handful of times. Not enough times for how much I paid for them.

I agree! She had a smile plastered on her face the whole time she had it on! And it looks great on her!
She lit up. And it fits well. Make it a challenge to wear it for an entire month and you’ll figure out what it works best with - and you will get a ton of compliments.
Exactly what I was thinking
I think that it would be so cool to go to a cobbler and have him paint the purple. I think it would be a lot more wearable that way.
So came to say it. Exactly.
That is a really insightful and interesting perspective - I’ve definitely been there too ❤️
I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again. Hang the jacket up as a wall hanging like you would a macrame wall piece. It would look sooo cool. If you find the perfect moment to wear it you can, otherwise you can just admire it like you would a painting...a fashion painting. 💕
I love this idea! Brilliant!
Great idea!
Keep the jacket- still works for you quite nicely. Buh-bye to the rest, someone will be happy to have them.
Agreed!

You need to keep the leather jacket!!!! It is a showstopper! And how nice that it has some sentimental value and reminds you of your family.
I totally agree!
Same!!!
Leather keeps well if you take care of it, and honestly, biker culture has been around and will be around probably for forever!
Definitely!! And also fringe is coming back in style this fall/winter season ;) although I think this leather jacket is timeless!
I agree, this jacket rules. Store it at my place if you don't have room for it. I think there's a reason you're having a hard time parting with it. 😊
"Just because it's beautiful doesn't mean it's practical." I need to make that my phone background or something!
Sorry babe, the way you smiled....that fringe jacket is your best buy! 😻🌈🍄💥
Your heel is overhanging those slides. I think going up a half size might be better for you. That jacket looks great on you, don’t get rid of it.
Agree. I think they look great but are probably uncomfortable because they are a tiny bit small.
Agree! They are simply too small.
I was thinking the same thing. Her heels stick out past the end of the shoes. Of course they're uncomfortable, they're too small.
Yes! There are 3 different sizes. Did she try the smallest size? I have a small head too and use mine All. The Time.
keep the fringe! it fits so well, it’s rare to find a vintage leather jacket that has a more modern fit (usually they have shoulder pads, wide arms and a tapered waist)
Thanks.
Did yours cause blisters until they wore in? Did it take long. Thanks.
@@lizziebkennedy7505 Hi, no blisters. I have to squeeze my foot while walking in the shoe to keep them on me until they were broken in. Otherwise, they are comfy slip ons.
Haha, I had a fringe leather jacket like that in the 80’s. Thought I was such a bad ass wearing it, you must keep it !
yesssss love it!!!
This video was so well done Christina!!! Loved your insight and your vulnerability about each purchase!
So true... l always buy things to be a cool girl. Then I realized 1.l am already am a cool girl. I got the degree, the smarts, the guy. 2. To be a Cool girl l need a thing that can't be bought- a diet, which l need. I can't also buy my way out of my chronic pain. Which will make me a cool hiking active girl.
3. I need to start exercising
4. Feeling like a cool girl is a never ending chase for the next clothes or gadgets.
5. I am not a minimalist. I am a maximalist
Best comment!
Courage and honesty. How beautiful you are now. Thank you for such an incredible video xx
Thank you so much 🥰
The look of joy on the fringe jacket seems like it should be a keeper! Where it often! Everything else can go and it serves as good lessons!
"Stop living in the what-ifs" ...silent tears.
And the jacket...
Yes girl!! I love it! ❤️
Try one of the other sizes of silicone thingies that come with your AirPods. I had the same problem and switched to the larger size. So far so good.
THANK YOU for the honesty in this video!
Hey Golda! Does it have any resell potential? Luxury items can be investments, but not all Luxury brands have the same resell value!
You can’t get rid of that jacket...it’s gorgeous.
I am from Toronto, too.
By the way you can wash vintage leather jackets in the washer.
Xx
Definitely sell everything and keep the jacket.
That biker jacket brings you joy. Your face just light up when you touched it. That might be one to hold on to.
Still gunning for you to keep the fringe jacket!!
About my worst purchases, most of them are really really beautiful shoes I can't walk in so I can't also wear hahaha. So sad, I'm a sucker for a shoes that look beautiful.
SAME - lol they can double as decor if you want 😂😍😍
My husband has the same complaint on the AirPods Pro. He replaced them for the old ones and he says the fit was much better.
Keep the jacket-it holds a special meaning! And it’s really cool 🖤
Nooooooo not the Guccis! Lol Those Bing boots though 😍! I appreciate the honesty! Good vibes only
These are all awesome. You’re doing great if these are the worst. I have a lot of baggy saggy pandemic clothes that are going in the bag!
Change to a smaller ear cushion size for the AirPod pros? It comes with three sizes, small ones work for me..
Omg I had my eyes on those back in the day too
machu pikachu me too! They literally kill my feet every time I wear them . I tried to sell them but no luck . What a huge waste of $$
I feel like my worst purchase would be a dress that i bought.
The leather jacket looks great on you. Keep it!!
Great video! Super inspiring, thank you for being so honest with us! Love from Poland ❤️
Wow! That jacket looks great on you!!
I have purses I never use. I like the leather jacket on you and so do you!
Lol , same here , I bought two LV purses used one twice in 5 years ,but I enjoy carrying my LUG purse ... I feel guilty for buying LV ..
Lol that’s definitely how I felt in it ! 😂😂😂
There are memory foam ear tips for the airpods pro you can buy on amazon that fit much better
You can put an insert in the Anine Bing boots to make them more comfortable
Maybe keep the jacket. Love that it reminds you of your mom. Maybe there’s a leather person that could alter it in a way to make you love it. Or display it in your home. I got ray ban sunglasses and can’t stand them. They’re heavy and pull out my hair every time I love them from my head to my face. Just not functional for me even though everyone seems to love them. Bummer. To the resale pile.
I hope you kept that cool jacket. It’s a winner!!
Each bad purchase I've made taught me something about my style, my budget, my lifestyle, not to make impulse purchases, and not to let other people tell me what is "essential" for me. Sometimes we just learn best by experience.
This leather jacket is so cool 😍
Keep the jacket! It's looks amazing on you 😍
Where is the video about the boots she mentioned?
I worked in a couple of shoe shops when I was a teen, and one of the useful things I learned is that any shoe that isn’t comfortable is a waste of money and will damage your feet. Don’t do it! That said, I’ve convinced myself to waste money on beautiful shoes that aren’t comfortable. :)
Ha ha ha:)
I would not wear the fringed biker jacket myself…but it looks awesome on you. Love that it reminds you of your mom. Maybe keep that one. You look great in it!
Just realized that I commented on a very old video…🙄
The AirPods come with 3 different sized silicone cushions so you may need to switch the ones that were originally on them to fit your ears best.
I’m sure it’s meant well, but the whole keep the jacket thing.. Do what you want. Your great and beautiful regardless. 💜
I feel at $60 I won’t be so upset if something tragic happens to them.
ooh what are your tips on getting them to stay in? do you use a smaller sized buds or did you buy 3rd party ones?
Same!!! Lol fiasco is def the word! Omg 😆
You smiled so much with the jacket on!
very honest, i appreciate that!
I have the 2nd gen AirPods (regular, not pro). They are one of the BEST things I ever purchased! I’ve used them almost every day for 3 years. So maybe try the “regular” AirPods and not the Pro? They might work better. Mine never fall out of my ears, and I use them for running also.
Ahhh I love my air pods (not pro) no widest when I work out , clean or chat.. thanks to them I listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks
My worst purchase is an all saints leather jacket.
I don’t know how Carrie Bradshaw did it! 😭😭
I did not expect your parents to be bikers. You just become cooler each video! haha the more I learn about you the cooler you izzzzz.
The Gucci slides! OMG! They were ICONIC!
I just found you recently and watched this. Please update us as to whether you kept the fab fringe jacket. I was so glad to see you had a lot of encouragement to keep it because it’s true your face lit up talking about it. Hoping!
I did! But for a weird reason haha - my bf does foley arts sometimes and he liked the perfect “leather jacket” sound it makes 😂
I love that jacket, keep it! 😍😍
The slides are too small. The boots are scary. But that fringed jacket-that looks incredible on you! You need to keep that and wear it EARLY and OFTEN!
