I really enjoyed all 3 parts of this video series. Thank you very much for the great information, and I really hope to see you guys in person at a show sometime. Please keep the great videos coming.
I have said this before but I have a whitesided hypo Brooks kingsnake so it's cool to see your Florida Kings with the same gene! I very much enjoyed your puns! 😂
Hey there. I am just now getting into FL kings and have acquired some adults. A couple larger and some smaller adults. I was hoping you could help shed some light on which tub sizes you prefer. At the moment, I have my largest female in a 28 qt quarantine tub. It seems small for her. Do you leave all your adults in 28qt tubs? Or do you also use CB70 tubs? I am thinking a CB70 for her but I also don't know if I want to use up a CB70 for my males. Seems excessive for them.
I know this is a year late, but it is a great question. Males can get big - even larger than females over time, so you do not have to differentiate tubs. IMO, kingsnakes do not need large cages to thrive, but they do need to stretch out at times. That is what I recommend if you decide to use 28qt tubs - give the snakes some crawling time and stretch-out time outside the tub. I have reduced my collection of snakes considerably, and the only up and coming addition is one more Florida king for a total of 2. Florida kings I think are the easiest, least demanding and usually most gentle colubrid one can keep. I will be upgrading to a larger tub rack for both of them at some point. If you are looking at racks to purchase, consider 70 qt tubs or similar because you can never go wrong with that size.
sorry need help sir, please answer,i have male milksnake and female kingsnake...i want to breed them hybrid, can you help on how old and what size?i can mix them together...please help me...

Great video as usual.....what is the cage/rack system you are using there for the kings?
We are using C serpents in the video, but we have since upgraded most of our animals to Freedom Breeder racks.
Didnt even know there was a florida kingsnake market. Do you export to europe?
Seems like Ole Frosty is a horn dog.

Are the males larger then the females?
Generally yes. It keeps the males from become prey to the smaller females during the breeding season.
You have any babies brooks for sale ??
What do I do if the female nabs at the male while breeding them
Feed her...
Ok I did and it worked@@ColdBloodCreations
How do you breed for Whiteside?
Its a simple recessive gene that requires two copies to be present in either a phenotype or heterozygous state.
Are you guys still in business?
We sure are!
