  • This is my official movieversion of the FPS-RPG-game Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut, developed by Eidos Montréal.
    Please take a look at my movieversion of the Missing Link DLC, taking place right after the harbor bombing in Hengsha = • Deus Ex: Human Revolut...
    Also, here is my movieversion of the sequel: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided = • Deus Ex: Mankind Divid...
    Deus Ex: Human Revolution, also known as Deus Ex 3 (DX3), is the third game in the Deus Ex series and a prequel to Deus Ex. It was developed by Eidos Montréal in co-production with Square Enix, who are responsible for pre-rendered movie sequences and published by them on August 23, 2011 for North America, August 25, 2011 for Australia and August 26, 2011 for Europe. The game's Japan release date (September 8) was pushed back for an October release.
    Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a cyberpunk-inspired game and takes place during the year 2027, 25 years before Deus Ex and 45 years before Deus Ex: Invisible War. Nanotechnological augmentations have yet to be developed, and biomechanical augmentations are the current state of the art. The player's character, Adam Jensen (voiced and performance captured by Elias Toufexis), is a private security officer with Sarif Industries, a leading biotech company that specializes in human augmentations. After an attack on his company leaves him horrifically injured and forced to undergo augmentation to survive, "the conspiracy begins." The player travels to several locations over the course of the game: Detroit, Hengsha (a fictional city on Hengsha Island in the Yangtze River near Shanghai), Montreal, Singapore, and Panchaea, a facility in the Arctic Ocean. The storyline offers many different side-quests. They are all optional, but several of them add information to the overall story.
    Human Revolution deals with the ethics of transhumanism, and carries an overarching message of humanity's reach exceeding its grasp. "Mankind is using mechanical augmentations," director Jean-François Dugas said before the game's release, "but there is still much to be determined in terms of their effect on society and the ultimate direction it will lead us in." The Greek myth of Icarus and Daedalus appears in Adam Jensen's dreams as an allegory to this thought, and also - given that Daedalus was the name of an artificial intelligence in Deus Ex - an intellectual bridge to the original game.

      You should play Human Revolution and the original Deus Ex (2000). The original is very dated but it still holds up in gameplay and story if you don't mind old graphics and engine.
      HR is a great sequel and is much more modern with flexible missions that can be completed in many ways.

      I think a lot of people did die there, though. I don't recall hearing about Taggart or Darrow doing anything else in Mankind Divided, and Jensen was conveniently rescued: that's the explanation.

    • @kengami
      @kengami 8 років тому

      You are absolutely right, they are. ;) Nonetheless that particular choice is the most fitting one and not psychotic at all. To me, the whole game focuses on the question if man should play god and how to utilize and/or abuse this power in order to make mankind better. In this ending Adam puts it quite clearly that despite everything he saw he still trusts mankind to save itself and that he will not utilize his power to decide their fate. He is not sure if makind will prevail as they did so often in the past, but it is not up to him to decide that. This also applies to everyone in that station he is about to blow up. And for his believes he is willing to sacrifice his own life in order to stop those power-hungry despots he was fighting the whole time so that in the end mankind may find its way. Think of it what you will, but to me this still feels right ;) This game makes you think and there are a lot of right or wrong choices. or maybe there is not a right or wrong answer. Still a great game ;)

      I think that the ending system in this game is BS. It's basically "pick your ending and THE END." I do prefer games like Mass Effect and The Witcher were your choices can have serious consequences later in the game, and with some that you can't predict their outcomes.

I can understand where he's coming from. He had to kill thousands of people to show human enhancement is wrong,we lose our humanity as a price. There might had been another way to prove this point...killing like that is wrong. But using this technology as long as its to save lives I'm fine with it. But it really feels like humans would abuse this power. Many times Adam has restrained himself and showed how at times he feels inhuman with this body. This game feels scary realistic.

It's to bad the makers/programmers, didn't have the since to make their own movies, as a boost for their game sales, after all, Lucas films won big time doing it for their Star War Games & Movies.
    Until then, please KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

    Somehow my messages arenot working.
    On the second trip to Hengsha the plane is shot down. After crash landing the option is to save Farida (good) or walk away. Faridah is then killed (bad). Thats what I meant.
    Ending was the wrong word.

      +Zack Smith come on Zack, just UA-cam search "how to save Malik" like we all did.
      In short you have to kill everyone thats attacking you and her in a VERY short period of time, then she is able to repair her helicopter and she gets the hell out of there.

    HR is in second place only to original Deus EX in all the Deus Ex games. MD, would have to be third. I never played Invisible War. But yes, if only RoboCop followed this deep storyline. But it was made long before Deus Ex.

      +lsherman39 your feelings are just as deserving as anyone else's, don't be ashamed of how you feel, no one has the right to belittle your emotions. Sometimes we all find ourselves in a dark corner and we can't seem to find a way out, but remember, there're are others who have gone though depression before, its a tough battle but you can and will always find a way to beat it. I'm not very good at making people feel better, but I hope this encourages you a little. Hang in there :)

    But isn't David Sarif in Deus Ex, the original, which would be the next game chronologically, so the ending isn't canon, but still its a damn good movie.

    • @cr4yv3n
      @cr4yv3n 9 років тому +1

      Brandon Kerner Mankind divided is the next.
      Judging by the trailer Adam chose this ending and it turns out humanity is retarded and chose fascism.
      That's why he says "the world is different now"

    This game series is the origin point for Detroit Being Human. Takes place in Detroit, human cyborbs rebelling against humanity, bla bla bla.

    • @matthewtremain683
      @matthewtremain683 8 років тому

      Um not correct. Being Human is about AI becoming human like in their thought processes and thinking. Cyborgs are humans that are heavily intergrated with machine, that they could possible be inhuman, or robots that are controled by a human brain that is programed and controlled by their "creators".

    I know these are a lot of work...but might you consider a no-subtitle version? If someone can't understand english it is unlikely they can read it well either. The words distract a lot in a "movie" version.

  • @NeoRocket001

    I SAVE Malik. Because MY Adam is THAT good. Also I choose Sarif.
    Because... "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that people were alone on this planet. Imagine what you’ll know tomorrow." - Agent K.
