This adds to my theory that the worst, most menacing, evil villains, are always played by the nicest human beings on Earth.
@Elijah York Hugo weaving too
Bryan Cranston
Giancarlo Esposito
Javier Bardem
Josh Brolin
And the list goes on...
@@Ali-xs2ij Met Giancarlo, he's such an awesome guy.
@@musicaleuphoria8699 I know,he is so different from Gus Fring.
@@Ali-xs2ij Joaquin Phoenix
Jack Gleeson
Imelda Staunton (females apply here too)
You are right the list goes on and on
As a native Russian - I was absolutely blown away by his performance. Bravo!
In what way, can you elaborate your feelings about that? How well did he unravel the Russianess inside him?
Zero Sum as another Russian I can say that he did it brilliantly. He managed to perform as a typical Russian abusive and controlling husband. What’s more, he got the idea that the rich and powerful in our country have status quo, nothing can stop them. And the facial expression is so typical of Russians. So, if you never had an idea of Russians unhappy marriages and what’s happening behind closed doors, now you have. Sad but so true
@@zerosumgamez Victoria has perfectly described what I had in mind. I know some men who look/behave/act similarly, so the performance struck really hard :D
Victoria Prokopenko well I think the prototype of Sator is Roman Abramovich, the famous Russian oligarch.
@@AndorranStairway idk really, but why is a typical Russian husband a villain and abuser? I think, firstly we should settle all such stereotypes with us, get finally rid of this role model in most families and businesses and then hope for another display in foreign films.
Kenneth is absolutely scary in the movie. Love him !
LOOK AT ME!!! and understand... you don’t negociate with a tiger, you admire a tiger... until it turns on you. Then you feel it’s TRUE. FUCKING NATURE!!!
I just realized this dude is not Russian and played Gilderoy Lockhart in the Harry Potter movies
DimitriGoh check Thor as well
He’s also Hercule Peroit in Murder on the Orient Express and the upcoming Death on The Nile.
He's the president of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and one of the most famous Shakespeare actors/directors in the UK.
WTF!! I just realized that
Kenneth’s performance is excellent, deserve an award
I’m honored to have you as fan, thanks for being here all this while, much love ❤️❤️
Great accent he put on. I didn't know he was Irish. Normally I spot the fake Russian accents.
I just watched the movie last night and must say Kenneth Branaugh’s performance was absolutely brilliant. A special shout out goes to the rest of the cast, crew, and especially Christopher Nolan for making this film so epic, especially when we the general public need be distracted from all the mess going on in the world today, this movie truly did it !
I didn't even realise he played Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter. What a fine actor.
For me he was the BEST character of the film. Period.
he is so nice in real life lol
You don’t negotiate with a tiger, you admire him until you discover it’s true ducking nature!
1 of my favourite roles Kenneth branagh has done the phoney wizard in chamber of secrets
Yeah, I first known him in the Harry Potter films. I was surprised he was also a movie director. Personally, that Harry Potter film showed his acting range, in this movie, Tenet, he was a bit generic and forgettable villain.
And he is also the director of the movie thor too
One of the greatest villains of all time.
My woah moment was that he's really Northern Irish. Woah
Kenneth's demeanor here is so delightfully giddy :D Can't help but to grin back at it all through watching this clip.
I cannot believe how good Sir Ken was in this film. Totally against type (although I am sure those who know his stage work inside out are far from surprised) - always on the edge of what in poorer directorial and acting hands would possibly have been seen as overblown but he was perfect - such a chilling creature and perhaps a villain for the ages.
"About two-and-a-half hours!" *Happy Ken face*
"About two and half hours" 😂👏 Brilliant.
1:40 that is such a joker laugh during the interrogation scene
His performance is the reason a love this film.
I remember when Kenneth Branagh spoke like the interviewer.
Even though maybe at some degree his Russian accent was kinda funny to me (me being Russian myself) but I really enjoyed his performance! The stoic nature of Andrei and just no compromises way of dealing with things made him a very believable bad guy.
his performance captures post-soviet person authentically - the very scarred ones after the regime collapse . plus his accent and mannerisms were so spot on
I’m honored to have you as fan, thanks for being here all this while, much love ❤️❤️
Robert Pattinson was there and Kennet managed to be a hot piece of ass villain, wow, great actor ❤️
He seems like the polar opposite of Sator. Seems like a really nice guy.
The nicest actors play the best villains.
Kenneth Branagh is a pretty legendary actor!
Kenneth Branagh scared the shit out of me in this movie!!! Unbelievable actor!!!
My god, when he kicks Kat, and spits on her, the venom in that, almost like Hell personified. Everyone was great in this film. But Sator will be the Bet Bond Villian that never was!
I’m honored to have you as fan, thanks for being here all this while, much love ❤️❤️
Professor Lockhart is brutal in this film!
Great movie!
I've never been so pumped up for a movie in my life since I saw the Jungle Book trailer.
LiUnderground hey joker 1:40 this you?
Great interviewer!
I've never been so terrified about a pillow being thrown in my life...
back in 2014 and Kenneth Branagh played as another villain Viktor Cherevin from Jack Ryan and Kenneth Branagh is a great actor ever
Brilliant 🤩👍👍👍
Seems like he chose the right profession
I’m so want kenneth to be my husband lol, just gorgeous
Omg hes such a nice guy
Holy crap he did such a great job I thought they hired a native russian to play Sator.
Kenneth, TENET
What a dangerous acting man.
Sir Ken, the director of Thor, somehow bringing Norse mythology into the real universe (in film).. rainbow bridge and all.
That should kind of confirm that the one dimensionality of the characters was completely deliberate.
I wouldn't call it one dimensional. Unredeemable and completely bad do not equal one dimensional in my opinion. The reasons and history for his evilness gives the character dimension
@@alenciaga21 because the reasons and history are four-dimensional.
What is the Tenet movie about? It's about 2.5 hours
My ken
sam
Hopefully he becomes the next michael caine of nolan
I am getting kinda annoyed seeing Caine in Nolan movies. No matter how brilliant of an actor he is xD
Although I can't imagine being annoyed by Branagh. Then again, he already played different characters. Caine always plays kind of the same in these movies.
@@alenciaga21 yeah right man .
"K Bran"
Plays the same character in Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit
And Debicki's character was the same in Night Manager.
I really enjoy watching Tenet but in reality, reversing entropy does not flow time backwards.
I believe a similar threat was written into True Detectives first season... I thought it was an homage from Nolan
Gilderoy Lockhart ??!!
andrei sator in another timeline
Sonebody's neck and... Geez, what kinda death threat could that be?
SPOILER ALERT: i have seen the Movie and the death threat he is talking about is cutting of prisorners balls and putting Them Down the throat til the prisorner dies
So he's not Rvssian?
Ikr he dude such a great job i could of swore the actor was a native russian thats how good his performance is
Werner herzog would be so disappointed with that accent.
i loved this guy in tenet but except for particular scene....the scene where he calls kat bitch and kicks her.....his yelling was so funny...omg lmao😂😂😂. he could have just avoided the yelling part.
I could imagine a crazy russian guy yelling like that though
@@PhantomNews01 but his way of doing it.... made me crack.
@@deatheater4805 Crazy russian guys make me crack
Evil hamlet
i can't believe this man is not Russian,
I found his accent jarring but maybe because I’m used to his normal accent
Just once I want to see a movie where the villain wins and destroys the world.
The villain in inception was terrible! wtf Chris Nolan. This Villain in Tenet was great. thank you Chris Nolan
Which villain in Inception are you reffering to again?
And yes, Kenneth was amazing in Tenet!
There was no villain in inception..
