Free-form modifying Chaos engines is one of the things that makes me love Chaos. Honestly, I never play them, but just making unique figures and vehicles is freeing and empowering - like casting off Order and Rules, and giving in to... wait a minute... :)
Imagine being a guards man told you'll fight chaos space marines then hearing heavy breathing look over the trench and see twelve of these rolling over the hill i needed to add this here to celebrate half a thousand likes this lets me know there are still nice people on youtube i am so happy i just cant contain it thank you all .
This is a great example how conversions projects go and why you need to move on bravely (into an unkown outcome). It starts with a broken/incomplete looking model, becoming an abomination of 'what have I done - I've ruined an expensive kit - looks like the work of a drunken toddler'. But moving on, step by step, paint layer by layer, it all comes to together and suddenly the former mess turns out beautiful (... in a special way) highly individual model.
I too have a nurgle landraider covered in sphincters! Mine is less body horror per se and more "Massive tank possessed by what is effectively a gigantic daemonic tape worm that weaves itself around and through the Hull" This is ace - great job!
Two buttholes is too much. One butthole and a demonic horn would've been better. Two arms & two buttholes is way to uniform, which goes against Nurgle & his gifts.

Disgustingly beautiful! It really suits Nurgle as in the codex I remember a paragraph saying that the marines dread being picked for piloting vehicles since its pretty much a death sentence as the daemons inside slowly consume the pilot until they become part of the vehicle

I did something like this myself years ago with a chaos rhino - sphincter doors included, but the dentures are a stroke of genius! You're making me miss playing 40k chaos and converting horrible gribblies 😂

watched whilst eating an egg sarny, it occurred to me a 3d printing pen would be useful making this style of model. They use PLA filament, great for freestyle modelling.

Anyone ever seen the art piece "crab with teeth"? Man I had such a disturbing dream about nurgle. I actually find that whole concept so disturbing if I think about it. In my dream just one touch from this maggot and huge mounds of flesh like mountains that were once people were crawling and tumbling and suffocating in a writhing mass of disgusting horror
Snake paint! This brings back memories. I still have a box of the old paints up in the attic somewhere. I'm amazed how long the colors stay fresh in the high quality containers they used back then.
While I'm amazed by the work you put in this mini, I'm conflicted about the theme. From my view this land raider looks more like a Chaos Undivided Daemon Engine than a Nurgle one. What I mean by this is the Eyes being so huge, feel more like a structural weakness and a sensory extension, which fit perfectly with Tzeench's theme of fragility and omniscience. The limbs look very toned which would fit Khorne better, since Nurgle's entropy theme is more like muscle decay into a thick blubber. Now the orifices and goop are a Nurgle certificate, it looks filthy and very unpleasing to go through. I couldn't find a visual Slaanesh reference, but I'm certain that thing would moan pleasurably whenever it disembarked it's cargo.
I used to have a Nurgle CSM army back in 5th/6th edition. I was inspired by the filthy bathroom fixtures you find in low budget horror movies. Love your work on the Land Raider.
I think with the eyes it looks rather goofy than creepy. I think they just look too “clean” compared to the rest of the model. Like when you slap big eyes on something to make it cute but here it goes from creepy to goofy.
As a new Iron Warriors player, I think the look of Chaos vehicles is good enough, especially for my warband who are more renegade than traitor, choosing to start up a civilisation away from the Imperium and Chaos.
@@MidwinterMinis if you're wanting some ideas for an approach, check out some videos on how they detail glass prosthetic eyes. Fine synthetic fibers, and a bit of varnish, can go an incredibly long way.

Seeing as I mostly look at orky stuff this project looks horrifying and gory and I love it! The eyes and the muscle tank really bring out you’re style of models for you’re army!
For some reason the main thing I appear to have taken from this video is that Blood for the Blood God looks a bit like strawberry jam when applied in large quantities.
