Recently I started losing weight at the rate of 2 to 3 lbs a week. I needed to lose weight, but was not trying to and had not changed my diet. What I had changed was my probiotic. I have now lost 30 lbs, so will soon slow down on the probiotics, which I was taking for a yeast overgrowth. That was a wonderful video and so informative. Thank you so much!

I’ve had SIBO off and on for years now but can’t kick it through low Fodmap and natural treatments anymore so finally booked a sibo test! I train twice a day most days for 18 months now and can’t kick the last 5-6% of body fat because my gut health is whack. Thanks for a great video!

2. I take CDGEstroDim. It has calcium d glucanate. But instead of losing weight I continue to gain . I have gained 17 lbs since I started taking it. My appetite is through the roof. I wonder why ?

@@DrKateLyzengaDean yes I had a Dutch test done and that’s why my doctor gave me CDGestroDim and Fembalance supplements . But I feel like they triggered weight gain. The first few weeks I started I was extremely bloated , now the bloating has subsided but need to lose weight . I also did microbiome stool test and seems like I’m low on beneficial bacteria, so thinking to add in bifido .

Some of these concepts still apply - your microbiome can very much impact how well you break down and absorb proteins, which can lead to trouble maintaining healthy muscle mass!

This is helpful, but there is an inaccuracy. The food AMOUNT in these studies did not stay the same. The mice were given 24 hour access to food and water.
Essentially, the obese mice were obese because they ate more, likeoy because the gut microbiome encouraged them to, either by not extracting as much energy from the food or via some hormonal intervention.
Agreed - Both groups were given 24 hour access to food and water, meaning that the external conditions of the experiment stayed the same. The point is that the gut microbiome drove the lean mice to become obese and the obese mice to become lean. 👍🏼
