Here's a wee review of an excellent guitar, the Ibanez RGIXL7. I like it and if you're similar to me you'll like it too. Obviously.

Soo can’t wait to get one of these & turn it bright pink
That’s hot hahaha
I’ve had the RGIXL7 for a couple months and I strongly agree with this review!
must mean my opinion is correct!
I have too many blacked out guitars but this one I've been eyeing for awhile. Always wanted a 7 string Ibanez since I was a teen but never pulled the trigger. Love the reverse headstock.
The best looking reverse headstock out imo
Interesting how it's an Iron label but Ibanez decided to keep the Ibanez visible on the headstock. Perhaps they wanted to ensure everyone knew who delivered the 7 string everyone needed. BTW it sold yesterday to a buddy of yours Richard :) New daddy. Thanks for showing it off.
I already heard who bought it even haha, glad it's going to a good home! Cheers for the lend bro :)
My Schecter Hellraiser Passive FR has the USA Schecter Brimstone pickups, which are very hot (21K for the bridge pickup I think), and I really like them and I agree with you on the sound of high output pickups on the split-coil setting sounding really good. The DiMarzios in that Ibanez Iron Label sound like they are similar.
Brimstone is a sick name for pickups! 21k is madness
Got any demos? I'd love to hear what the USA Brimstone pickups sound like. Pretty much all the demos on UA-cam are really old so not really hearing the pickups with modern recording kit. I have a Reaper-6 with 'Diamond Decimator' pickups that are apparently based on Brimstones...so basically a cheaper, import version for the more mid-range guitars. Haven't tested them myself but found some info saying the bridge is around 18K.
I've found I love the neck pickup in both humbucking & single coil mode, but for the bridge I definitely prefer it in single coil. It's so saturated in humbucking mode it loses the attack that I like. Great for rock stuff and for thick riffs but not so good for tight shredding stuff. But in single coil mode the bridge pickup sounds great...it doesn't sound like it loses any output at all, just gets ridiculously spanky. But not having a usable humbucking sound for my preferences, I'm replacing it with Schecter's Colossus which is John Browne's signature bridge pickup. From the demos I've watched, it sounds like the single coil mode is just as powerful as the Diamond Decimator but has a lot more prescience in humbucking mode.
What I don't know is how close the Diamond Decimators are to the proper USA Brimstone pickups. Would be interesting to know...perhaps I could get some Brimstones for one of my other guitars...
Very versatile and comfortable guitar, yet the matte finish is going to gloss quite a bit in the places where you rest your hand just around a couple of months of active playing. But despite it - deffo worth the price.
Personally, I love when the matt turns to gloss, really makes it feel like your guitar rater than a brand new one
What plugin are U usin?
Axe Fx bro, made the patch a while ago, can't remember what amp sim exactly but I'm pretty sure its a matchless
what tuning are you using?
I think it was f# standard? I honestly can't remember haha
It needs an evertune and id buy one right now
I still can't vibe with evertune, it just feels weird to me! But you do you dude :)
sounds like a butt after toco night
I was thinking the same thing. I am not a fan of that tone. I mean half of it is effects but, still.
exactly what I was going for
