We're lucky enough to have a Siberian who lives above the office where we work, and he pops down to see us regularly. I remember a few months ago when I was having a bit of a hard time and the big man just came and sat on my lap, which he doesnt always do. I sat there stroking him for ages, he's the absolute king.
I don't know my Siberian's past history as he lived in the wild for some time before moving in, but he dislikes other animals..he only knows prey/predator mode. I never knew the breed before, he's amazing! Cuddly fluffball and superman (I have seen him fly), very fast, strong and athletic. I saw his paw prints in the snow when he sprinted after a squirrel and they were 9 ft. apart.
We love our little guy so much we are getting ready to welcome his younger brother in 2 weeks! Im allergic to cats and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to love my cat and not get sick/allergies and asthma! I can tell when one of our normal cats grooms him as I get a bit itchy. Our Fluffen gets along with all our people and pets. They love to be with you, but not ON you. Not necessarily lap cats, but they love attention and take care of me.
Unfortunately, my Siberian Misha had a traumatic event with a dog early in his life, so no dogs for me. Misha is very sensitive to routine and likes to have very well established routines. Does anyone else notice that with their Siberian? I’m curious if it’s breed or personality.
Yes, very much so. Jemima experienced a windstorm and two days after I got sick. She barely ate and stayed right next to me in bed. I ended up taking her to my veterinarian because she didn’t want to eat. Jemima is very intuitive and loving...
Agreed, is it female? I had to raise my friend's 2 month old rescue kitt for a month but she attached to me, n kinda her but a far 2nd place. She doesn't mind dogs, hates other cats, and only likes a small handful of ppl. Most other ppl she ignores or straight disappears.
They're big and have thick manes & coats bro...a kit i raised a month for a friend is siberian n they're tough cats as it is, but their coats to other cats have gotta be kinda like me fighting you with football pads on.
My siberian, Mya, calls out in the middle of the night. Sometimes she'll do this for weeks on end and then not for a while. It's the craziest thing. She's 8 and she's always done this. She's been fixed since she was 10 months old, and the call isn't an in heat signal. I've taken her to the vet many times and there's seemingly nothing wrong with her.. Any idea of why she might be doing this?
Have you tried a night light? Some older cats can have trouble seeing at night. Otherwise, if she has access to a window on first floor, she might just be seeing an animal outside.
@@marcilk7534 oh, that's a thought, but she's Always done this. She has night terrors, I know that, but they aren't every night. She had a tough start in life.
Is it better to get one male and one female? Has anyone had two females and had problems? I am thinking of getting kittens (from the same litter) , but I want to make sure they will get along when they are adults (both fixed).
There's nothing wrong when choosing one male and one female, 2 females or 2 males. There might be a little problems once you've get 1 male and 2 females or 2 females and 1 male. :)
We have 2 brothers that were litter mates and they are inseparable. I would try to pay attention to which pairs of kittens seem bonded in the litter and choose that way.
For what it's worth, my siberian cat always knows when im sad or hurt and comes over and purrs on me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. he's a very good boy
Take care of them and they will make you happy! 😄

Siberian cats can read humans better than we can read them. It's freaky how psychic they are!
Our siberian cat is loved by everybody in the family, a lot of that information is true. He was a very positive addition to our family.
instablaster.
Going on 17 years with my guy, we've seen a lot of shit together that's for sure. He's also traveled more than most humans.

You need a good vacuum for when they lay on the floor.

Mine, too! Cleo knows our routines and she expects them. 🙂
I'm getting two siberian next year from a breeder. I so can not wait for their arrival.
Perfection made cat.
100 points for the siberians :D
My Siberian is anything but sociable 😂😂

They’re just talkative cats. My Siberian does it too, especially at night when he thinks we’re all asleep. I think they just like to chat.

@@kittenlife6650 Thank you 😊 that helped a lot. I've never had an indoor cat, and I want to do this right.

Couldn't finish the video because of the terrible synthetic voiceover.
