Visiting badgers

We have had foxes in the garden almost every night for years but very rarely do we get a badger, well, last night we had a treat, three badgers! They have been coming in more frequently for the last couple of weeks, not sure if it's a new clan or an existing one moving further afield. Either way it's nice to see. Until of course they start digging the lawn up!!

only digging foragers we have around here are skunks and armadillos, those things are huge!

And feisty, but especially the N American badger. They'll take on a bear and often succeed in chasing it off.

Yes, the ones here have a ferociously powerful jaw and can be very viscous, but they are good lookers!

I don’t feel it’s particularly rural as we are about ½ a mile from the town centre but about the same to acres of farmland!
