not gonna lie,,, you’re one of the most comforting trans youtubers ive seen. its so nice to see that ur a guy with interests and a life and a full complex person and how that affected your transition. ive been questioning my gender intentionally for a few months but i have had intrusive thoughts about them for around 2 years and i'm only now figuring things out a little bit. its very scary and weird and its so personal, but your channel feels like watching a real time autobiography about it and it gives me a great deal of peace of mind and patience lol thank you!
Aw a "real time autobiography" is definitely one of things I was going for when I started this channel. And yeah, being trans is awesome but *because* it supports my "full complex" life. Good luck with your questioning!
As a trans gay guy in a relationship its nice seeing other people like me, So happy for you guys! A lot of us think we would never be able to date (especially cis guys) but I hope they realize they should still have hope for the future❤
I feel like gay cis guys understand us more than we think. I was talking with a classmate about my voice insecurities and he related to that because he also had a more high pitched voice and I felt a lot better after that
@@francapiroto763 Yeah my cis bf can definitely relate to me with some stuff like not "passing", he looks naturally pretty androgynous and has long hair so he gets called a girl a lot in public. We both got misgendered by the same teacher at school all of last year so we bonded some over that lol.
SAMEEEE OMG! I found my guy, hes a cis gay boy and he's the person that respects me the most! I feel so safe and comfortable around him, I'm so happy! 💓
As a gay trans guy watching this was soothing and inspiring. I haven’t dated much since transitioning, just one relationship that was a total mess. Watching you two talk and connect about your relationship in such a warm, affectionate way gave me hope for my future. Thank you!!
You guys made my dysphoria distracted, thank you so much!!! Also, the names Arthur and Harry kinda remind me of a fantasy novel name lol (In a compliment-good way)
Im a trans man dating a cis man, I'm his first boyfriend, and first trans partner too. He doesn't identify w any sexuality at all and that sometimes makes me a bit insecure
I'm single now, but as a lesbian in a liberal city, my relationships have always drawn a ton of commentary from straight people in public, lol. "Now that's love right there," "now that's a Kodak moment," and of course the classic "you guys are so great together," etc. I guess I could bristle at the excessive attention, but I've come to find it endearing, honestly, because I think what people are really responding to is the sense of total enthrallment and devotion that my gfs and I have radiated. I find that straight couples often seem less effortlessly connected than gay couples, thanks to all the weird het-norm roleplay they have to negotiate, and I think, on some implicit level, straight people are themselves aware of this. Seeing a same-sex couple that's visibly in love is like briefly peering into a world where intimacy and vulnerability aren't countervailed by those expectations -- where love is truly pure, as such.
That's a great point (also beautifully articulated). I've absolutely felt like the energy surrounding gay dating has been radically different than that of my straight friends. Even many of my very liberal friends end up conforming to the "weird het-norm roleplay" at the end of the day and feel a lot of pressure to hit certain checkpoints at certain times. And it is wonderful to be free of that.
I am very confused as your boyfriend says when he and his best friend came out to each other in school they identified us lesbians for a while. How could your boyfriend have identified as a lesbian when he is a man?
really, i look up to you as a trans boy. you're so authentic and i find your stories and thoughts super valuable. i hope to be as well-spoken, confident, and genuine as you are. you both look so happy in this video. and i couldn't help but think that if anyone, you in particular totally deserve to be. so heart-warming. happy for the both of you!
This really made me feel so nice. I go back and forth about being T4T, and while that can be a lovely thing for so many people I think for me it stems largely out of fear of cis men and transphobia in general. It's so reassuring seeing a relationship between a trans and cis person where understanding and respect seems to come so naturally!
Yeah T4T can be really beautiful and it's lovely to have things in common with your SO, but, at the end of the day, being trans is one of many identities I have. So even if I were dating another trans guy inevitably we'd have to respect and understand each other's different life experiences. And I think it's the ability to do that which determines if a relationship is going to work out! When that started to click for me was when I felt neutral on whether I'd end up w another trans guy.
This isn’t new 20 years ago a trans guy came onto me. I just couldn’t get my head round it. I just had to say no to the guy . It’s still very difficult to understand that you would go through all of that just so you can wear men’s clothes and be a gay guy . But gender and sexuality are indeed different.
that's the thing. You think it's about clothes. But the clothes are just culture mostly. It's about the body underneath and actually being seen as a guy at face value, not a style or personality quirk.
It’s good that you acknowledged gender and sexuality are different. If it was so important for trans people to be seen as straight, wouldn’t most gay people eventually transition? One thing that sparked my identity awareness was feeling annoyed that everyone thought I was a lesbian because I was a slightly masculine girl. In reality, I felt the opposite - my liking guys made it hard for me to realize I was also jealous and wanted to be seen as one.
Jewish person here. When you announced that Chanukah is "the most important Jewish holiday, actually," and I saw the look on Harry's face, it gave me a great laugh. Happy for both of you!
Im a 16 yo trans kid and it’s always really nice to see other trans people in happy relationships. It gives me some hope for myself too because I have the frustrating (and untrue) idea that no one will ever want to be with me because I’m trans. It’s something to work through but I always feel so happy seeing other trans people just existing and being happy :)
This was lovely to watch. You both look so happy and smiley and the way that you look at each other tells us everything. I'm so happy that you found each other. Looks like a perfect match.
as someone pursuing a legal career its so comforting to see trans gay guys like me who are doing very academically focused jobs and are happy and are in fulfilling relationships

@@crazyorganist1609Ehhhh well definitely if they walk out in public nobody would consider that straight even after knowing he transitioned.
