    I'm back
    Scorching TIde (1:02):
I: This thing also gives Driller some much needed burst damage against dreads, especially during the limited time phases (after breaking the OGs shell or destroying the 3 prongs on hive guard). Pairing it with Neurotoxin grenades makes the CRSPR a lot better at dealing with dreads.
    Sticky Fuel (2:23)
O: I generally take T5 B "Targets Explode" to help counteract this issue. The sticky flames are ammo efficient enough & good enough at heating bugs that I feel comfortable mag dumping into a crowd that's in my face to start procing the explosion.
    Sticky Addative (2:33)
I: This OC actually gives just enough damage to change the amount of "shots" it takes to kill a Haz 4/5 grunt from 10 to 9, so can actually work very well with T5 B.
    Face Melter (3:39)
I: A very good use for Face Melter is for dealing with Robot Enemies (especially patrol bots), using 2, 2, 1, 3, 1 where the high flow rate means you heat them up to burning very fast.
For those that don't know, Robot enemies immediately die when they start burning. The exceptions are the Prospector & Care Taker, both which cannot be ignited.
O: I do suggest the reach upgrade. Or if you want the larger tank, take Wave Cooker to deal with enemies far away (Brambles, Spitters etc.)
    Chain Hit (4:47)
C: While the ricochet has the same damage as the original shot (so technically deals full damage), one thing to keep in mind is that it can hit armor, dealing less damage if it hits light or medium armor, or no damage if it hits heavy/unbreakable. So it unfortunately isn't as simple as dealing 2x damage 75% of the time.
O: I personally do use chain hit with T5 C Neuro-Corrosive Toxic Catalyst. It increases the DoT of Corrosive & Neuro-toxin, & the target explodes on death dealing damage in a radius, both of which are determined by how many stacks of the effect they have. It allows you to chain explosions in dense crowds.
    Home Brew Powder (6:07)
C: I hate to say this, but with both damage mods (not the WP mod, but both +3 damage mods) Subata has just enough damage to kill a swarmer on a 80% roll. 18 x0.8 = 14.4. The exact health of a swarmer at Haz 4/5.
I: The number 14.4 may seem odd, but it's because of how DRG scales enemies. Swarmers for example have 12 base health at Hazard 2. At hazard 1, they take 30% more damage. At Hazard 3, 10% less damage, & finally at Haz 4-5 20% less damage.
I: Now, instead of calculating how much each gun does after those increases/reductions, we instead just multiply their health. So for Haz 4/5 the calculation is 12 x 1.2 (20% damage reduction) = 14.4 HP. If you read the wiki you may see the term "true HP". True HP is referring to the unmodified HP, so in this example a swarmer has 12 "True HP" at full.
    Tranquilizer Rounds (6:18)
C: This OC was recently changed to also add a separate 50% chance to slow a target by 50% for 4 seconds. This was so it had an effect on stun immune enemies (such as Oppressors, Bulk Detonators, Dreadnoughts etc.)
I: Just for clarification, Stun Resist works by reducing the duration of a stun, instead of reducing the chance of being stunned. For example, Praetorians have a 20% stun resistance, meaning they are only stunned for 80% of the usual time. They also, as Kat5 said, become immune to being stunned for 2 seconds after they become un-stunned.
I: I also did some testing & yes, the blow-through round can stun targets as well.
    C: Correction
    I: Additional Information
    O: Opinion

@@HaloFTW2408 Argh! It is 14.4! All this time I’ve just been going with 15 since that’s what everyone said and what I observed, but of course they would round up to 15 when no other weapon can deal decimal damage!
That slow chance on Tranq Rounds isn’t mentioned anywhere though, not even on the (official) wiki. I suppose one of us could dig through patch notes to find it but I doubt the clarification would be worth all the trouble.
I think I’ll start pinning your comments. This is all interesting information (and corrections) that I either missed or forgot to mention.

2:21 the thing I hate about sticky flames build, is your teammates not allowing the bugs to actually walk into your flames.

Good video. First off, it’s awesome to see someone else using the HE grenade. It’s such a fun time! Like last time, I’m happy that you gave all OCs a chance in the spotlight and talked about them positively.
I also liked how you showed that face melter and compact valves can be used without the range upgrade. Very nice.
However, I must say that I don’t recommend using face melter. Ice storm for the cryo cannon is better in every way. (Frozen status effect, doesn’t interfere with cold radiance, extra damage on frozen targets, no “reload”, larger “mag size”, and doesn’t eat through ammo as quickly)
Furthermore, I’m also glad how you mentioned that a slower fire rate allows for more procs of sticky flames and heat radius. Heat radius is broken and stick flames are useful, and longer reach is also really useful. Fuel stream diffusion is a clean in disguise ;)

3:53 I swapped reach upgrade to tank size after a couple of games with Face Melter. Short reach turned out to be a minuscule inconvenience considering grunts die almost immediately when they get into effective radius. On the other hand, having a tank capacity of 35 crippled my ability to deal with medium to large groups of enemies before I had to reload so I would get overwhelmed too often

I wonder if you would can add the born ready ability withing your testing for weapons with slow reload, changing your weapon till it reloads itself allows you to fight instead of running and reloading...
(Love the blooper, not nearly enough people show bloopers nowadays XD)

Alot of people seem to hate face melter for some reason, but I personally love it. If you combine it with heat radiance and flow rate you can instantly ignite anything in front of you a d do big damage. I think some people just expect it to work as good as vanilla crisper at dealing with swarms. You'll want to use your secondary and bombs for big swarms instead, it's not that it's hard to build around.

Face melter is ok for swarms as well, you just have to play pretty close to the enemies. I think its best in rival warnings or sabotage, but the better range overclock compact feed valves or something with sticky fuel and extra heat output is probably better for warnings tho as sabotages swarms are usually easier to deal with.

fuel stream diffuser is my go to overclock because it pairs well with a automatic fire subata allowing you to inflict the burning effect to praetoreans and oppressors before they are in range, dash behind them, and then quickly mow them down using a full mag of the subata. my build is 22331 for the flamer and 22111 for the subata. fsd is also op on sabotage or rival presence missions since you can simply cause the bots to overheat from afar. the only downside is that you might run out of mags for the subata in some rare cases and thats not as fast as face melter is in taking down close range patrol bots. do note that i play a bit faster mostly to support new greenbeards which just started doing their first haz5/edd's

Scout was last video, the GK2 and Boomstick. I'm doing the original set for each class, then I'll loop around again and do the second set for each class, ditto with the third.

I haven't seen anyone else say it so I will, scorching tide can kill a full health nemesis in less than a second and only 25 ammo
