As a Moze main, I feel like I'm the only person in the world who will max out Torgue Cross Promotion. I even have a Mind Sweeper that has a +5 TCP. I just love the big explosions it makes, my survival be damned. If this were the skill that gave Moze immunity to her own splash damage, it would fix the self-destruction issue and would even be lore relevant.
I also use that skill in my grenade build. And yes, you need to be careful which grenades you use to not kill yourself with it, but in most cases, you can also revive yourself with a single grenade, so it's ok.
Still peeved that Moze never got another class mod for the red tree. Imagine if Moze got something like Zane did, where shooting enemies had a chance to proc kill skills? It would've been so dope

I think Fl4k’s purple tree was aimed at launchers/amp shields. The annoint for gs makes it viable, and forage keeps your ammo stocked. Definitely not the strongest, but crazy fun when I built for it.
My own ranking before watching the vid, also based on my experiences, 4. Amara (honestly a cool skill tree but takes some work to really hit those sweet spots) 3. FL4K (my first character so I have a bit of bias, but still a pretty strong tree and very fun Class Mods to pair with it, tho his DLC tree was not my favorite as my playstyle is more run 'n gun) 2. Moze (absolute monster and probably stronger than every other VH's skill trees, but she doesn't quite hit the jackpot for me in terms of feel all the time, very powerful but her healing abilities leave a lot to be desired, like most of the time I might completely forget to toss a grenade when playing as her and my HP suffers for it lol) 1. Zane (the perfect fit for someone like me who loves high speed, high velocity, crazy running and gunning gameplay, just hits all the right spots for me and has such easy and incredible healing factor)
And now continuing, lol you're ranking EVERY INDIVIDUAL tree haha. Should've held my tongue. But generally I would still have most individual trees around the same where I put the characters themselves. Most of Zane's I'd have in the top spots, most of Moze's I would too.
For me, the skill that allows Zane to move around at just speeds that practically surprised the game keep up with and being able to just have your clone. Just kill everything as you run by is just fun. Now that doesn’t mean that I don’t use my own guns but will say freezing in the enemies occasionally unless you have frozen heart and icebreaker victory rush, then everything‘s frozen.
I think you're underrating Moze's blue tree's ability to just relentlessly spam grenades. Personally, the way I like to do it is to have quasar equipped, max out means of destruction, and just mash the grenade key while firing since you can do that now. Keep all the enemies in one place while they get minced by a cryo element shredifier. Covers all of your damage bases if you have cloud of lead, and if you have short fuse those exploding bullets are now hitting EVERYTHING. It's a total lightshow.
Thanks for the tier list on skills. I was mainly looking for info on Zane because when I look him up people talk about his invisibility and clone but I want a movement character and he sounds perfect
As a Zane main, I can tell you he is very versatile. I usually go for a Clone/Drone build. This build gives you the air support of the Drone with the distraction the Clone gives you. The Orange Tree capstone, Double Barrel, is crazy if you activate the Clone when you have a strong gun. Just don't give it a launcher because it won't last long.
I agree with putting Fl4k‘s purple tree at the bottom but not for the reasons you said. It has a hideous action skill, extremely bugged pet and useless skills (mostly useless because the pet is bugged). I‘d argue that Fuzzy Math however is one of the best skills ever especially for Fl4k since he‘s the only character with zero lifesteal in all his trees. I think the odd thing about moze's demolition tree and her explosions downing her is that she's probably the best person to be immune to her own splash damage and grenades, yet that skill oddly enough goes to zane, who in my opinion is the least likely to need grenade immunity
I think moze would be too easy if she were immune to explosives personally. It's the one thing that makes you think and approach things strategically, and I feel it's really cool for an explosive based character
@@frazfrazfrazfraz that's fair. I think my biggest annoyance is yhe fact that tongue guns damage you, since in the 2nd game they didn't. Other types of splash damage are fair, but it means that using guns good for her build means killing yourself if someone gets too close

It was such a damn tragedy playing Borderlands 3 the first time. I did everything, I unlocked all of the VP bonuses (except the gun cuz I forgot) I was planning who I wanted to play ahead of time. I was so excited to playing Borderlands 3’s melee character! Brick, Krieg, Athena, Zero, Borderlands has such a great history with melee characters! And then… Amara is just a fumble of a melee character AND PERSONAL SPACE DOESNT APPLY TO MELEE? WHY GEARBOX? Also, instead of just coping phasegrasp they could have made it so the enemy is dragged to Amara so that she can melee them?!? Just man, it was such a let down when I hit 50 on the second play through having completely abandoned melee.
Melee is definitely a backup for Amara and not a focus, which means BL3 really doesn't have a melee character. There's still real support though such as Fish Slap and Facepuncher.
I was hoping Amaras melee tree would give her an actual melee skill, something akin to Brick or Krieg where she uses her giant arms but yknow that would make too much sense
@@SomersBugtopiayou could Kiiiiinda do a melee charecter with Moze if you give Iron Bear dual claws but yeah iys not the same, it sucks because no other vault hunter has felt so good to play for me except Krieg
You left out Zanes "Eraser" skill which allows you Zane to output more Damage than Moze ever can. Moxsy one-shot a modded 1 trillion HP Graveward and Zane did around 2.7 Quadrillion Damage (If thats a number).... Check him out. Zane can do WAY more damage than moze.... He set up Graveward to have One Trillion Health and Zane with the right gear still one Shot..... Zanes Skill outranks ALL the Vault Hunters in past games.
It might work a little bit. The middle tier 1 tree (can't remember it's name) gives you fire damage when IB is on cooldown. The damage scales with Mayhem so at M11 it's insanely powerful
I've only played Zane and FL4K so I don't have any opinions of Moze or Amara. On FL4K I use Gamma Burst, but I used Fade Away to farm Graveward to max level. I use the clone and drone on Zane. I can't remember anything specific, I haven't played BL3 in a while.
This guy does not know Moze. if he is skipping Schorching RPMs which double dip with other dmg skills, then you dont know Moze Then to ignore. Pull the holy pin, VAMPYR, Means of destruction, Stainless Bear, and Grizzled! Bruh, this guy never played Moze Again to ignore the Corrosive Sabots and Electric Sabot rounds is CRAZY, to ignore the Drowning Brass skill that like Scorching RPMs double dips dmg, is ludacris. Phalanx doesnt even give good dmg in the dmg formulas. this guy man....
That’s the level of whining I’d expect from someone with an Itachi profile picture. It’s not hard to criticize instead of acting like this list is some personal attack against you.
Idk much on the game cause i only got through the game once with pretty much only specing into blue tree for siren but i find that its pretty good overall cept it sucks vs some bosses... or mayhaps thats a me problem being on xbox and whatnot also was prety much only using asult riffles, shotguns, and smgs as my weapons.... also didn't really see anything that was that interesting in her trees at all aside from alot of blue tree (also don't got any of the dlc)
@blazesona12 Amara is one of, if not the worse character for single target damage, making her performance against bosses kinda meh. But her skills remnant in the blue tree and indiscriminate, and ties that bind in the red tree make her the best for mobbing. That's why using the revolter is very common practice for her, as it's an easy increase to single target damage
I think in future it would be better to put the skill on screen when referring to it for players that don’t know the names? I know it’s a little bit of a gripe since you’re not yet being paid to do this… I think?
I will argue that Zane's blue tree sucks cuz it's just a road down As a tree is doesn't rly offer much choice You just pick all skills down and that's it Sure that means there is almost no bad skill here BUT The tree should have more options or be spread out a bit more over other trees
@@ConstantCanadian you 100% don't understand then Most skill trees basically should offer options for a thing Say kills But all the tree does is give you one road down where you pick all skills and there aren't any options You just take it all Thats just a skill line There isn't any room to change up how the skills work or something else you CAN pick that changes the play style I am effectively missing a few more skills in that tree 1-2 in each row actually Just to give Zane some more options Example are actions kill boosters like for the drone? Still would have wanted a skill that resets the bombardment skill of the drone on kill Just as an example for what Zane rly needed to make his kit a bit more versatile Let's ignore the broken ass skills in purple and green tree specifically barrier as that thing is bugged to hell and back But there are so many things you could put into the tree to make the action skills more interesting
@@ConstantCanadian skills I'd love for Zane Resets for skills on kill Granting kill skills to the action skills themselves Kill skills for shields / nades Melee boost that stacks with kills so you can charge up a mega melee and then unload to a boss or a badass Adding random elements or effects into the next mag as a kill skills And I could legit keep going but that's just a lil bit of stuff you could put down And not even remotely everything Other characters suffer from the other issue btw You pointed out mozes tree with IB and splash Which just doesn't rly work That one's the opposite problem
@@gadrielvanorion9872 I would go as far as to say that Zane needs absolutely nothing added to his kit. There are already huge upsides to using him as the VH with little to no downsides. His blue skill tree is a little devoid of "options" but not every tree can be filled with options and still result in a balanced play experience. One of the examples you had was a skill that charges up a turbo melee move, which is a cool idea that should absolutely be looked at for the other VHs. Zane can't be the elements guy, the melee guy, the options guy, the best grenade guy, and the guy that gets rid of his grenades for a second skill guy too. There are 4 vault hunters, and we were upset we didn't get more of them even though each one ended up with 4 skill trees that all dwarfed the BL2 skill trees. Borderlands 3 didn't need more quantity, it needed more quality.
I'm not sure specifically what you're talking about, but it might be remnant, it sends an orb out when you kill an enemy that does any overkill damage from the enemy you killed, it gets scaled with mayhem, so that makes it insanely op at M10/11
Zane's green tree is next to worthless. Blue tree has salvation, so staying up isn't really benefited beyond what other trees provide. It's only real benefit is being able to Amp shots through the barrier for launcher and redistributor builds. But the tree itself has not one vital skill at endgame.

Bear Mother alone made me fall back in love with Moze, which helped a lot because I didn't really like any of the other Vault Hunters at launch. Thanks for convincing me to give BL3 another chance with this video, I might do another fresh playthrough with Zane.
Stainless steel bear applies to skag den and is a pretty major boost, just fyi.
I see. Thanks for letting me know, would've helped for my ultimate moze that I just finished
two skills in the entire tree are melee and everything else is survivability
what does this tree specs in? "-melee"
genious
The only reason id even bother going for fl4ks purple tree is to put missiles on my robot pet for some reason he decimates bosses when u make him use the missiles
And then…
Amara is just a fumble of a melee character AND PERSONAL SPACE DOESNT APPLY TO MELEE?
@@SomersBugtopiayou could Kiiiiinda do a melee charecter with Moze if you give Iron Bear dual claws but yeah iys not the same, it sucks because no other vault hunter has felt so good to play for me except Krieg
it's interesting how different this video would have been if it was made on release.
@crapname9692 would've been way shorter too, haha
I FREAKING LOVE TORGUE CROSS PROMOTION ONLY COWARDS IGNORE THIS SKILL
You left out Zanes "Eraser" skill which allows you Zane to output more Damage than Moze ever can. Moxsy one-shot a modded 1 trillion HP Graveward and Zane did around 2.7 Quadrillion Damage (If thats a number).... Check him out. Zane can do WAY more damage than moze....
He set up Graveward to have One Trillion Health and Zane with the right gear still one Shot..... Zanes Skill outranks ALL the Vault Hunters in past games.
Eraser can get pretty crazy, but the video could only be so long.
Great video
does moze purple work for just an elemental build? i dont wanna use the mech
It might work a little bit. The middle tier 1 tree (can't remember it's name) gives you fire damage when IB is on cooldown. The damage scales with Mayhem so at M11 it's insanely powerful
Master tree is good your playstyle just revolves around being aggressive which in turn gets you killed more often so 🤷♂️
If used right fl4ks purple tree is op if set up right
The lack of love for pets.😂. I always try to play a pet build in other games. Why killing enemies myself if someone can do it for me
@@buschlord1571 I personally just find that playstyle boring, but the pet AI in the game has some pretty big issues sometimes
1:45 conclusions, krieg was superior
In terms of melee, for sure krieg was WAY more fun to play
I've only played Zane and FL4K so I don't have any opinions of Moze or Amara.
On FL4K I use Gamma Burst, but I used Fade Away to farm Graveward to max level.
I use the clone and drone on Zane.
I can't remember anything specific, I haven't played BL3 in a while.
This guy does not know Moze. if he is skipping Schorching RPMs which double dip with other dmg skills, then you dont know Moze
Then to ignore. Pull the holy pin, VAMPYR, Means of destruction, Stainless Bear, and Grizzled! Bruh, this guy never played Moze
Again to ignore the Corrosive Sabots and Electric Sabot rounds is CRAZY, to ignore the Drowning Brass skill that like Scorching RPMs double dips dmg, is ludacris.
@ConstantCanadian hunh.... that's definitely interesting.... also is it bad i prefered guns with a shield of their own?
@blazesona12 not all Hyperion guns are bad, but a large majority kind of just underperform
I think in future it would be better to put the skill on screen when referring to it for players that don’t know the names? I know it’s a little bit of a gripe since you’re not yet being paid to do this… I think?
I will argue that Zane's blue tree sucks cuz it's just a road down
As a tree is doesn't rly offer much choice
You just pick all skills down and that's it
Sure that means there is almost no bad skill here
BUT
The tree should have more options or be spread out a bit more over other trees
@@gadrielvanorion9872 not sure I really get your point? All of the skill trees are just roads down to the capstone. That's kind of the point.
@@ConstantCanadian you 100% don't understand then
Most skill trees basically should offer options for a thing
Say kills
But all the tree does is give you one road down where you pick all skills and there aren't any options
You just take it all
Thats just a skill line
There isn't any room to change up how the skills work or something else you CAN pick that changes the play style
I am effectively missing a few more skills in that tree 1-2 in each row actually
Just to give Zane some more options
Example are actions kill boosters like for the drone?
Still would have wanted a skill that resets the bombardment skill of the drone on kill
Just as an example for what Zane rly needed to make his kit a bit more versatile
Let's ignore the broken ass skills in purple and green tree specifically barrier as that thing is bugged to hell and back
But there are so many things you could put into the tree to make the action skills more interesting
@@ConstantCanadian skills I'd love for Zane
Resets for skills on kill
Granting kill skills to the action skills themselves
Kill skills for shields / nades
Melee boost that stacks with kills so you can charge up a mega melee and then unload to a boss or a badass
Adding random elements or effects into the next mag as a kill skills
And I could legit keep going but that's just a lil bit of stuff you could put down
And not even remotely everything
Other characters suffer from the other issue btw
You pointed out mozes tree with IB and splash
Which just doesn't rly work
That one's the opposite problem
Damn, boyo!
How do you get Amara to send out that ring of fire? I’m a quarter through her orange skill tree and haven’t found that yet
I'm not sure specifically what you're talking about, but it might be remnant, it sends an orb out when you kill an enemy that does any overkill damage from the enemy you killed, it gets scaled with mayhem, so that makes it insanely op at M10/11
I think blue’s capstone of Avatar for Amara could put it in S tier, but some of the tiers are crowded.
@DevonCurran honestly I was surprised myself by how many skill trees made it to S tier
can skills in separate trees be used while one tree is being used? or are the trees completely separate
@Inkastar-tz8yd yes you get whatever skills you spec into, regardless of your other trees
Zane's green tree is next to worthless. Blue tree has salvation, so staying up isn't really benefited beyond what other trees provide. It's only real benefit is being able to Amp shots through the barrier for launcher and redistributor builds. But the tree itself has not one vital skill at endgame.
Why is your cross hair so low?
There's a setting, I think it's in accessibility? Let's you lower your crosshair.
Bruh do not understand Moze skill trees at all lol.
So you think Moze is trash
I wish there was a mod that increased the useless perks. Would Make buildcrafting much more interesting
Best game ever.
The inability to properly utilize certain trees then ranking them lower because of it. Wonderful. Not a good video
