    I am sorry, but you have impact mixture build wrong. U take 13222 which enables you to one shot grunts, spam charge shots to quickly kill weaker hordes, and gives a driller a very decent single target damage. Try it out

    I'm less late this time. Progress......? Regardless, the show must go on. Combustive Goo Mix (0:10) I: Something counter-intuitive is that the explosions radius is different depending on whether you ignite a puddle or shoot a burning bug with goo. Here are the exact numbers: Puddle 50 Radial Type Less Damage + 50 Radial Heat in a 2m radius Bug 50 Type Less Damage + 50 heat to the target 50 Radial Type Less Damage + 50 Radial Heat in a 2.5m radius. O: This OC definitely shines more in solo, where external sources of heat isn't an issue & as it provides drillers with some much needed burst damage. However, the only heat sources I'd be concerned with in multiplayer would be CRSPR (not an issue if you're running a "balanced" team), Burning Hell/Hellfire/Incendiary Grenades on Gunner or Flame Bolts on Scout. While these aren't uncommon per se, there are lots of builds that won't conflict with this OC. I: For those wanting to use regular EPC shots to ignite things, here's some numbers for you: Energy Rerouting (All Ammo) Ammo: 184 Shots to Ignite Puddle: 3 Shots to Ignite Grunt: 3 Shots to Ignite Guard: 6 Shots to Ignite Praetorian: 11 Energy Rerouting (T1 Damage) Ammo: 160 Shots to Ignite Puddle: 3 Shots to Ignite Grunt: 3 Shots to Ignite Guard: 6 Shots to Ignite Praetorian: 10 Heavy Hitter (All Ammo) Ammo: 136 Shots to Ignite Puddle: 2 Shots to Ignite Grunt: 2 Shots to Ignite Guard: 4 Shots to Ignite Praetorian: 6 Heavy Hitter (T1 Damage) Ammo: 112 Shots to Ignite Puddle: 2 Shots to Ignite Grunt: 2 Shots to Ignite Guard: 3 Shots to Ignite Praetorian: 5 Goo Bomber Special (1:41) O: I like running this alongside Subata with the Chain Hit OC & T5 C. Putting a line down & shooting in bugs Weak Points to possibly get up to 2 stacks of T5 C per shot is relatively effective. O: As you pointed out, shooting regular shots onto the ground is an effective strategy (especially with T3 A for the full 24s lifetime). It's my go to in close quarters/tight spaces. I?: From my previous experience, the raining down puddles by shooting straight up technique has always been hit or miss. You need a space big enough to shoot up without hitting the roof, a target large enough to make it worth it & hope that they stay still. Because it doesn't do the splash damage of the charged shot, you'll want T2 B to get 18 fragments (each which deal 8 damage on a hit). Volatile Impact Mixture (2:59) C: This feels a bit nit picky, but the lifetime of the puddles is reduced by 1/4 not 1/3 (the exact modifier is x0.75 puddle lifetime duration) I: This has some super janky interaction with the Blisters from the Blistering Necrosis OC. The build I use for massive damage (alongside a Blistering Necrosis Wave of course) is 1, 1, 2, 2, 1. Shoot a bug until it has a blister, then switch to the Sludge Pump & hit it with a Charged Shot. From what I can tell, the charged shot splash damage gets multiplied? It's very weird but works very well. Hydrogen Ion Additive (5:02) O/I: I like this OC in theory, but the actual effects are pretty small. It gives a +2 DPS bonus to the corrosive DoT (so 35.2 -> 37.2 base or 44 -> 46 with T5 B) & increases the DoTs slowdown from 35% to 44.75% base, or from 51.25% to 58.56% (note that it doesn't affect the puddles slow, only the DoTs). As you can see, these are pretty negligible increases for taking up your OC slot. I feel like it should also give a lifetime increase to the DoT & puddles. Disperser Compound (5:45) I: One way of increasing coverage is to shoot the ceiling, although this only works if the ceilings not too low (as the fragments don't get time to spread out) or too high (as the shot won't impact it) Diffusion Ray (6:32) O: I personally like to use this with T5 C, since that doesn't care about the damage of the beam. I pair it with CRSPR using 2, 2, 3, 3, 1 & Fuel Stream Diffuser. CRSPR can easily ignite a whole group due to it's 20m reach & fire spread. Then, if you need some breathing room, whipping out the Wave to start temp shocking will wipe them out cheaply & efficiently (remember that temp shock deals 200 disintegrate damage). This even gives you a decent way of dealing with larger enemies, although that has nothing to do with the OC. Super Focus Lens (7:29) I: If you find yourself having issues using this without getting hit, use this OC in conjunction with Cryo. This both makes the bugs incapable of fighting back once they're frozen, while also increasing the effectiveness of the damage increase since Wave gets the 3x damage bonus to frozen enemies. For example at base Wave deals 7 damage, or 10.5 if you're benefiting from this OC. However against a frozen target you deal 21 damage, or 31.5 with this OCs benefit. Pair it with boiler ray in T5 for some efficient crowd clear & surprisingly decent single target damage (although you'll run out of ammo relatively quickly) Gamma Contamination (8:14) O: Imo this is a godsend for Driller builds with a single target focused primary. This pair very well with a full damage Ice Storm build or a Sludge Blast build, since those builds lack the ammo & crowd clear potential respectively, & this OC gives driller an excellent way to make up for that. Blistering Necrosis (9:43) I: So, this one weird OC. You are correct in that blisters inherit a Weak Points multiplier if it's higher than 1.5x. They are not supposed to multiply area damage, however the Sludge Pumps Charged Shot Splash Damage as well as EPCs & Draks Plasma splash mods all get boosted by them. They also affect things that don't normally get a benefit from hitting a weak point, such as Wave Cooker itself & the direct damage of CRSPR & CRYO.

    As someone who uses Blistering Necrosis on pretty much any bossfight driller loadout, yes all your primaries benefit from it. ESPECIALLY Volatile Impact Mixtures. I love melting a dreadnaught in seconds :D

    The Conductive Thermals is great when combined with the white phosphorus shells on the boomstick. Spray a tough one with the plasma, then zoom in to light them up. But what's more important about this combo is that you can combine it with the "bootcamp" armor paint and a full helmet cosmetic to create a solid Doomguy cosplay. Also, for the Bodkin Bolts the bolt can be retrieved if it strikes an enemy and the bolt hits a wall when pathing to the next. While this doesn't happen reliably (it might even have been patched out) it's a nice way to conserve ammo if you need it.

    For necrosis I´m really sure everything can hit it. Early in the game before trying new things out I used necrosis cooker mainly, you can create a bunch of weakpoints on lets say a Pretorian and deal alot of dmg afterwards with the flamethrower. Or often I create a bunch of weakpoints on Dreadnaughts and pop them with an Axe dealing a nice chunk of dmg, if you´re lucky wiht weakpoints spawning you can propably invest I´d say 20-30 ammo on one of the Hiveguard Guardians and Axe it for easy solokills on them. Combine that with a smaller lens for increased firerate and the only thing stopping itz from beeing good is bad luck. Now theese days I rather use other guns or, running with cryo the Piercing one with temprature shock or on sertain missions with Radiation for extra crowd control, tho not getitng that one to proc feels more painful. Also can we talk how strong sludgeblast is, mainly against a caretaker? You can kinda solo carry C4ing the top and sludgeblasting toe eye, honestly a fun one even if it´s quite meh against swarms

    I may be just a tad late with this one...... (whoops). Anyway, great to have you back! C: Correction I: Additional Information O: Opinion Impact Deflection (0:12) O: I think the RoF penalty needs to be removed or GSG need to give it at least 2 ricochets. It's a fun OC, but certainly not a meta pick. T4 A is certainly harder to use with this OC, as it requires tight spaces to work, it can be surprisingly effective (since the DoT is powerful enough to kill a grunt with 1 application) Conductive Thermals (1:20) i: One weird thing to note is that while the temp modifier status effect can only reach 30 stacks max, the damage bonus effect seems to have no cap. I: While this OC doesn't buff the direct damage of the gun (as its 50% kinetic & 50% disintegrate), it does benefit 1/2 of the damage done by T4 B Plasma Splash (50% disintegrate 50% fire). This combined with the above point (no cap on the damage status effect) means you can start dealing some serious damage vs bigger targets. i: Another thing to note is that this affects not only DoTs that deal electricity, fire or frost damage, but guns that deal that damage inherently (like CRSPR, CRYO). The standout here is BREACH, which deals 50% Fire & 50% Electricity. Play this with an engie & watch BREACH absolutely melt Dreads. O: My favorite thing to pair this with is BOLTSHARK using Fire Bolts & Taser Bolts. This gives you both effective crowd clear with the Fire Bolts & respectable Single Target with Taser Bolts (especially if you put 2+ into one enemy). Thermal Exhaust Feedback (3:30) I: One thing to note is that you don't start getting fire damage when you're 1/2 way to an overheat, you start getting the damage when your heat meter shows 1/2 heat. This seems like its the same thing, but it isn't. As LazyMaybe has shown (go watch his videos if you want the very technical info) the heat meter actually slows as you get closer to the end, meaning 1/2 heat shown is less than 1/2 way to an overheat. The minigun has the same mechanic. No idea why it's like this but the more you know. Shield Battery Booster (4:17) O: While it's annoying that the big bonuses (2x velocity & +5.5 damage) only work at full shields, arguably an ever better boost is the 3.5s reduction to Shield Regeneration Delay (the time between taking damage & your shield recharging). I'll say that again, a 3.5 second reduction! For contrast, the base time is 5.5s & the armor mod can reduce this to 4.5s. This works even when you're not holding the gun. This is massive for survivability & enabling the aforementioned bonuses. Imo, Thermal Exhaust Feedback is more of a skill reliant OC than this one. Overtuned Particle Accelerator (6:54) O: I originally hated this OC. However, if you want to get up in bugs face & blast them (rather than the usual Scout Gameplay of Run & Gun) it really shines. I recommend taking Armor Break in T4 to compensate for the terrible accuracy. You'll also want a secondary for clearing bugs on the roof/far in the distance. I personally like Zhukovs with Gas Recycling, especially for spitters. Rewiring Mod (07:24) I: I believe you can technically get a bit more ammo if you use manual heat dump *just* before you overheat, but its very hard to do consistently & the extra ammo probably isn't worth it. Bodkin Points (9:10) I: I have noticed that sometimes the bolt will get stuck on terrain as it tries to fly toward another enemy. This sometimes allows for retrieval even if it has hit an enemy. The Specialist (9:58) O: I do like the chem bolts for a long lasting DoT (especially with T5 A & the specialist, where the effect lasts 22.8 seconds). It can be great for tagging a Grabber or stalker, or hitting an important target on regenerative bugs. The specialist (assuming T5 A) actually adds just over 5 seconds of duration, which is quite nice. Trifork Volley (10:24) I: One thing to note is that Preatorians & Oppressors have resistance to piercing damage (30% & 50% respectively), so this won't deal as much damage as you may expect (still deals a lot though). This is an issue with the boltshark in general, not just this OC.

    CGM certainly takes time to learn but it can be ridiculously strong and ammo efficient when used properly. It really doesn't sacrifice anything besides slowdown on enemies since you don't want the goo laying around a while. Reigniting enemies is not difficult at all - even in your clips you can see how the explosions reapply heat to surrounding targets, so it will not ruin any synergies with fire builds, in fact in synergizes very well with them. The important part is making sure your goo is actually on the enemies and igniting it quickly. In solo play it's a bit harder but honestly not so bad, the EPC can do it quite easily. In teams it's even easier - so many builds have heat in them.

    the blisters are _weird_ they pop from radial damage but don't apply their 1.5x multiplier to radial damage, which I'm not sure even counts as a weak point multiplier. I _think_ they might have patched it capping your damage when it breaks? It's probably better to just use something else but if you want to give it a shot don't let me stop you. Lazymaybe made a pretty good video on wave cooker overclocks that just so happens to talk about blistering necrosis for a solid chunk (maybe majority? I don't rember) of its runtime and go into depth about its mechanics.

    • @squiddler7731

    The crazy thing with Mortar Rounds is that the splash damage is so high that, at least in limited amounts, it still does very respectable single target damage. You just dont have the ammo to constantly be focusing down singular targets, you need to be hitting those groups to make your magazines last, but you can absolutely still unload into a single high priority target if the situation calls for it. Unless its in close quarters, because you will be paying half your health bar to do it in that case.

    I recommend for OCs that penalize overheats on the Drak, opt for no upgrade on T5. Especially /w SBB. This makes managing heat easier/safer. SBB requires high mobility play. Chip damage costs you the bonus but the shield recharges fast. Treat like a high RoF mid range sniping option.

    Plasma splash far outdoes the damage penalty on CT because half of its damage gains the ramping bonuses. It’s also just insanely powerful in any semi-coordinated teamplay. Dreadnoughts become a joke and many other big enemies too, especially with a driller.

  • @demonicdude1328
    @demonicdude1328 24 дні тому

    I used to think conductive thermals was a mid overclock until I realized how OP it becomes when paired with lightning arrows. If you shoot two lightning bolts into the same enemy then switch to the drak and shoot it with CT it will melt big enemies in seconds, even dreadnoughts.

  • @craigfunk3453
    @craigfunk3453 24 дні тому

    Conductive thermals is best played with plasma splash for a 2-fold synergy on its own. Plasma splash also applies the debuff stacks so thats double the build up rate, and plasma splashes damage is partially fire like most plasma weaponry in the game so that debuff for extra element damage feeds back in to the DRAK against bigger enemies. Besides if you take conductive thermals you generally build for elemental damage anyways to capitalize on it (fire boomstick or cryo/fire bolt nishanka with taser bolts)

    Happy to see this! Some addendums: 2 of the OCs talked about here have some sneaky tech / tips that completely change the game on them. Particularly, Conductive Thermals and Shield Battery Booster. Conductive Thermals might as well be the most busted damage oc in this game. It can buff every Boomstick OC (as long as you take phosphorus shells mod), nearly all of the Boltshark's special uses, and helps with zhukov on cryo minelets (i guess). But it shines on two fronts: Explosive shots on Conductive thermals procs both effects twice. That is, instead of adding 1 to the max 30 stacks of thermal vulnerability, it adds two (except on armor). That means that, if you shoot an opressors weakpoint / naedocite breeder anywhere twice, they get instafrozen from one cryo nade. (4 stacks = 2 from each shot = instafreeze) This also applies to the 5% bonus thermal damage, which stacks infinitely but each stack only lasts 10 seconds i think. Which means there is an effective cap, but you can get it upwards of 600% easily. That boosts jumbo shells immensely, and even just special powder gets to double tap a praetorian in haz5 4 player scaling (the fire ends it off). But the star of the show is taser bolts. Any big foe melts under it. Shoot a taser bolt, then spam their weakpoint with conductive thermals until born ready procs a reload. Then shoot a second bolt, repeat. It can kill a Bulk in 2-3 bolts plus slows them severely and can anchor other nearby bolts. This melts dreadnoughts while still allowing your team to chime in. Most pubs you'll have at least someone running elemental damage - driller's whole schtick gets boosted except goo, gunner's burning hell + volatile goes to the moon and is pretty common, and engi's love the fire + electric boosts with stuff like stubby and beam. At last, shield battery booster has a trick- you have to swap the armor upgrade for the one that makes your shield take longer to start recharging, but does so faster. The multiplicative bonus shears off a good 3-4 seconds on getting to full shield, and a good scout should ALWAYS be kiting - grappling hook is a survivability tool. Stacking this with the active shield perk and you can boost teammates + get a boost on proximity, which allows ludicrous survivability AND immunity to chip damage AND a lot more damage. While not as straightforward as other builds, it can be a difference maker on higher hazards. Stack it with special powder to get as close to broken as you can get in this game without putting on NTP on auto cannon. (Just remember shield disruption!)

      @luhsvideodump1300 23 дні тому

      @@jimbo491 Definitely fair! Although I will say, i felt the same before testing both - and eventually set on longer delay because chip damage on haz5 / haz5++++ is so ludicrous that taking longer delay ALWAYS means it's faster. (from 12~ seconds to 7-8~ seconds or something crazy like that, which allows for you to get the 50% damage bonus back faster). The way the multiplicative bonus from the OC works is that it stacks with regen IIRC, so the delay really doesn't matter much - plus if you need to regen quick, being near a teammate for like 2 seconds with shield link makes it so the delay is almost back to normal. Highly recommend you give it a spin!

P.s. i don't know if you knew but plasma splash makes the debuff aply twice to allows not only stacking way faster but also higher as one part of the stack has a time limit not a stack limit even though it makes the base damage literally 1....

    overclocks like OPA and SBB are slept on, to be honest. Scout overall has enough room for skill expression in movement to avoid those downsides when it matters most and feel really stylish while doing it. I use one of the two virtually all the time and switch between them based on if I'm playing close to my team or not (since SBB benefits from shield link when you can proc it)

    Hey everyone! I made this video extra long because, as I talked about a couple videos ago and briefly referenced at the end of this one, I'm going on vacation this week and won't be back until later next week - so there will be no video next weekend. I've also decided to try releasing the last of the overclock series every **other** week, to ensure I dedicate proper attention to each of the remaining weapons. With that said, the *next* video will *also* not be the overclock series. After that, I'll be alternating between the overclock series and other content until the overclock series is done. Thank you for understanding.

      BRT7 Burst Fire Gun is , surprisingly , the gun with the most burst damage the gunner have as secondary (i'm not counting The Mole and his infinite damage potential). If used with Lead Spray 2 3 1 3 2 you can rapidly destroy big bugs, you can even deal so much damage so fast that you can prevent a hiveguard from using his super attack by shooting it fast enough alone , in haz 5 4 dwarfs. And like he said , Experimental Rounds is a good alternative for better accuracy (and so with damage mod T1).

    Sorry to hear you're getting burnt out. Might be worth trying to go to a fortnightly schedule instead of weekly (or maybe longer) once you get back so DRG & this channel don't feel like a job? Anyway, on with the comment. C: Correction I: Additional Information O: Opinion Mortar Rounds (0:14) I/O: The T5 resistance at max Rate of Fire mod stacks with Gunners explosive resistance from his armor. So if you are struggling with dealing damage to yourself at close range, I'd recommend trying it out (although you do lose the juicy +7.7 area damage from T5 As +10% damage at full RoF). Combat Mobility (1:05) C/I: Something to note is that the Thunderhead has 2 separate values: Minimum RoF & Maximum RoF. Combat mobility increases minimum RoF, but not the maximum RoF. Again, none of this is clear in the terminal. Neurotoxin Payload (1:39) I: To be crystal clear, I am not judging anyone here. I will note however that you may be kicked from some lobbies if you bring this OC, especially with fear. A notable portion of the community agree that watching bugs run away & then die is not a fun way of playing the game. So just be aware of this, but don't let that stop you from trying it yourself (especially in solo). Splintering Shells (2:17) I: Assuming that the area damage from thunderhead has the normal falloff (damage is 50% at the outer areas), the +1 area damage is actually just enough to kill haz 4-5 swarmers more effectively without taking the area damage mod (since the damage at the outer edges goes from 4.5 to 5, meaning you kill a swarmer in 3 hits rather than 4). O: If you want an auto-cannon that's efficient against both tanky targets & smaller ones, this is definitely the OC I'd recommend. Big Bertha (2:40) O: Even though the 10% damage bonus from T5 A is tempting, the T5 B fear mod can help alleviate the smaller mag size by giving you breathing room. Alternatively, the fear mod on Coilgun is broken strong, so that's also a viable alternative. Carpet Bomber (3:19) I: One thing to mention is that this OCs benefits are multiplicative where as Splintering Shells are additive (x1.35 Area damage/x1.45 Area Radius for the former & +1 Area Damage/+0.3m Area Radius for the latter), so with Carpet Bomber you really want T3 B (+2 Area damage) & T4 B (+0.6m Area Radius). Lead Spray (4:23) I: This is the only BRT damage OC that has a multiplicative damage bonus (x1.5), meaning you definitely want to take T3 B (+3 damage). If you only plan on using this against point blank targets, you can also take T1 A (+3 damage) for a huge 40.5 damage per shot. Otherwise T1 B gets your spread down to 280% (from 400%), making it a bit easier to hit targets at close range. Experimental Rounds (5:00) O: While this has competition from Compact Mags (since with the extra ammo, your potential damage is higher), this OC does have a unique niche. I like to run this OC with 2, 1, 1, 2, 1. Since it doesn't have the "-RoF" (longer delay between bursts) you can more comfortably take the recoil mod in T2. This turns this into a very accurate weapon that's good at taking out high valued ranged targets (menaces, tri-jaws etc). Full Chamber Seal (5:47) O: This OC is one of the few OCs in the game that I think doesn't belong. The upsides are so minor that you are effectively running an OCless gun. I honestly prefer Micro Flechettes, since I can at least find niche use cases for them. For anyone wondering why I think this way, both BRTs damage mods are +3, this gives +1, and while the BRT doesn't have an animation cancel, you will hardly feel -0.2s reload time. I really hope this gets buffed or gets the Roll Control/Manual Guidance Cutoff treatment & be made to be a more interesting OC. Micro Flechettes (6:03) O: The issue I had finding a use for this is while yes you get a lot of ammo, it doesn't give a good way of spending it fast enough to make up for the very poor damage. However, I did find a use. I run this OC with 1, 1, 2, 2, 2 in conjunction with Mine Layer System Hurricane. Mine Layer is very good at dealing with most ground targets quickly and ammo efficiently. However, it has always struggled with aerial enemies/the spitters (acid & web as well as menaces) due to the lack of guidance. With the build I layed out above, you 1 burst web spitters in the body/mactera spawn in the weak point & 2 burst acid spitters in the body/macter tri-jaws in the weak point. I: Ass Kat5 has pointed out in a comment, the damage penalty is static (-11) while the ammo boost is multiplicative (x2), meaning taking the damage mods helps to alleviate some of the damage penalty. Compact Mags (6:49) I: Unlike Micro Flechettes, this OCs ammo bonus is additive (+84 ammo), meaning you can get some very good use out of the T4 Weak Point Mod. Electro Minelets (7:48) I: If you use the blow-through upgrade, you can hit a bug & leave mines on the ground as well. I generally like to jump & shoot down at grunts & Praetorians at the front of a hoard to stun them & put the mines directly below them to catch the bugs directly behind them. I: Between the forming & arming time, there is a 0.9 second delay between shooting & the minelets being able to go off.

    BRT has 4 generic ammo/damage overclocks, to be fair they work well, i like using the balanced ammo overclock because its +82(or something like that) and no actual downsides(u only have reduced ROF and little bit more cooldown between shots)and they dont affect much, ur burst fire is still fast burst, while delay between shots sometimes a bless in disguise because brt deals a lot of quick damage, micro fleshets basically give u no value and lead storm is kinda meh because u cant hit shit, its pretty good if u stick ur gun inside bug mouth
