Cancer is caused by mitochondrial fermentation. It is not genetic. It's all from the wrong food.
Clean carnivore and intermittent fasting is proper human behavior.

Thank you Dr for stating the obvious it's such a pity that more doctors are not on your wavelength.
My doctor is a good guy, but unfortunately he is morbidly obese himself and his father has diabetes and is a doctor, his mother is obese and has all sorts of health issues so in all honesty what does that tell you about the state of the NHS nearly half the staff up and down the country are probably obese.

Thank God for youtube! That's where I've learned about metabolic syndrome and the course it sets you on. I started intermittent fasting 3 years ago in May. Lost 40 lb in a couple of months and I'm still there. I'm sure not perfect all the time but my girl and I always say if we get it right 80% of the time and we're at our goal weight then that's okay too. Both our vision improved from intermittent fasting. I just turned 60 and don't need glasses even after a full inspection at the eye doctor(and dmv lol) my girl lost more weight than I did and she was getting light-headed and dizzy spells and they had to actually give her a lesser prescription. They were very surprised they said that never happens. Intermittent fasting has been the only thing I know I can do for the rest of my life and now it's just how I live.

The University of UA-cam has helped me when my Primary Health Care Salesmen failed to give me information about nutrition. I have learned about low carb eating to lose weight, proper exercises to build muscle and strength in older years. I am now off high blood pressure meds, out of the prediabetes stage, lost 40 lbs. I am sure in a few weeks after my blood tests we will be discussing statins for my LDL will be high. Changing your Lifestyle is the answer! I agree, the government, food companies and big pharma are doing harm to Americans, land of the free needs to be free.

Another issue that is talked about even less is that the same bad dietary choices can effect not only obese people but also thin people (where the fat is stored around the organs and is not visually seen as much as by obese people), so it's even less detected, tackled and treated...

      @LilyBean82 3 місяці тому +5

Yes, and no one wants to increase their chances of developing pancreatic cancer. I've lost too many people to it and it almost got me, too. People should be informed of this before taking the drug but that doesn't seem to be important to those the patients are trusting.

You also lose muscle mass faster than traditional dieting and if you stop taking it you gain all the weight back. It's kind of like propecia for your hair. And when you gain all the weight back, you've actually gained more because you have less muscle now. Intermittent fasting has worked great for my girl and I.
I'm coming up on 3 years in May lost 40 lb in a couple of months and have maintained it since. Not perfect but get it right 80% of the time and that seems to work.

It's odd, I am struggling with being a good 40lbs overweight. I've been like this for the last 10 years since I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I have changed my diet and cut out wheat based products (these definitely caused me digestive issues). I have started growing my own greens, and I cut out all seed oils now only using olive oil. I walk 40 mins a day with my dog and do gardening. I don't drink any fizzy sodas, only water, tea, milk occasionally. I have cut out as many toxins from my skincare etc. I eat a lot less than I used to, by at least a third. I don't drink or smoke. Why am I finding it so hard to shift this weight after so many positive changes? I'm definitely doing something wrong as the 40lb goes down by ten, then back up.

It is really difficult to lose weight when you are hypothyroid. I also had to cut out other foods and spices that I was sensitive to, they cause inflammation. Try to find a doctor or naturopath who will help you discover what you are sensitive to. I also have IBS, right now I am on a low FODMAP diet. I have lost 7.5 pounds and have 25 to go. I also take a probiotic, that seems to help too.

I will share what has started working for me. But definitely do your own research. I take 500mg Berberine (also includes 25 mg Oregon Grape) with 500 mg Ceylon Cinnamon in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast. I workout at gym 4 days per week (30 minutes cardio on elliptical, 30 minutes weights: arms one day, legs the following day, at least 3 different machines, 10-15 reps per machine 3 times per machine). You gotta sweat to burn calories. After each workout, sit in the hot tub for 30 minutes (10 minutes fully under water, 10 minutes jets massage one leg, 10 minutes jets massage the other leg). Do whatever it takes to get 8 solid hours of good quality sleep every night. Bring plenty of water to the gym. Rest days are just as important as gym days. Eat in a calorie deficit every day. My metabolism has fired back up a hopefully this is helpful. My daughter says it’s starting to show and that I have my glow back. Be fully committed and don’t let yourself make excuses to miss your gym days. It gets easier after a couple months.

Fasting is the best thing you can do not just for obesity but for liver health, which is the most important thing for metabolic health! Some benefits of occasional extended fasting and lowering carbs in the diet: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time, including in the heart and lungs.
Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. When insulin is high, vit D stays locked in the blood cells.
Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion plaques, growths and pathogens by the immune system. This will also remove spikes quicker, whether natural or unnatural in origin!
Your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies in a 72h fast, rejuvenating your entire immune system. This helps prevent the onset of new autoimmune conditions, which develop through a leaky gut and damaged immune system.
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered when fasting, reducing inflammation and allowing the immune bodies to move freely through the body.
Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release!
Blood clotting is lessened and clots and plaques are removed over time.
T cells and T reg cells are vital in fighting cancer, autoimmune disease and infections but as we age the thymus stops making as many of them. Fasting releases stem cells, which then can become new T cells. It also releases growth hormone, which regenerates the thymus itself!
Fasting restores NAD+ and increases nitric oxide release to open blood vessels.
Reflexes and short term memory are increased.
Fasting increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors and increases average telomere length in stem cell pools.
Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell required for viruses to replicate.
The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting.
What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast but most teas and herbs are OK. Supplements and meds often break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting.
Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building.
Fasting activates autophagy (literally self eating). This will cause cells to recycle damaged proteins and foreign matter such as viruses.
Lowering insulin via fasting virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body.
Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue!
Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility for some women.
Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system, just like the effect of CBD oil
Just 24h of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half! This reduces leptin resistance, which impairs immune function.
Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers. Some patients may need continued acid reduction medication while fasting.
Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism, fighting infection and cancer prevention!
Fasting releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with.
Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level.
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer.
A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs.
Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. They also help with dementia and many other issues even if you take them while not fasting!
Glycine and trimethylglycine can also be useful supplements while fasting that won't break ketosis and have many benefits.
Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness or tremors, then simply break the fast and seek advice.

What I would say is that if one of the 'whites' is salt, that's not something to avoid if you're not eating salt-laden junk food all day long. Actually, come to think of it, I use pink Himalayan salt, so maybe the advice _is_ accurate after all.

    • @danielogana3972

@@gilessteve Hi, good of you to respond. The fact that you are born or live in a certain location makes it natural that ALL your basic health and wellness needs can be met by or at your location. Wherever you are there is a source of salt to meet your needs. The challenge is marketers and environmental degradation. The former guys will convince you for example to get Himalaya pink salt or Celtic salt on the advice that it is the best in the world for your needs. The White salt I referred to is refined and processed salt, the ‘normal’ store varieties. These must be handled with more care and caution. At best they should be avoided.
On environmental degradation one has to take more care of what one ingests but at the same time not fall for marketers’ spiels on what is perfect or best for you. Try to live like a tree: it finds or gets all its needs from the fixed location it finds itself. It will fight fires, droughts, pests, UVB UVA, man, animals, birds, etc, get minerals, water and nutrients without moving an inch.

I do understand Lack of income can also contribute to Obesity families, imagine a single mother of 4 unemployed she will have to choose between feeding her kids and keeping them warm energy bill are soaring, she'll go and get cheap processed foods to fill up her freezer with junk food, people in Care homes and supported living accommodations, are worse because they have someone who plan for them what to eat that's suits their budget they have limited choice sad, nowadays Nurses and GP rarely tell people to exercise and eat healthy. We are very luck we still have one Dr Suneel who's still able to offer advice on us, how to eat healthy .
We need more Doctors can offer advice and recommendations about health lifestyle.

Education is key. That includes a reward system. If that single mother knew that careful shopping (ie, go to the store early in the morning, get the 50% off hamburger!), and better use of cheaper proteins, like eggs - the perfect, and cheapest, food we have - is key. I know, because I have been poor a long time (disabled, no family). Healthier diet is achievable, but if people don't know how, and aren't shown how GOOD they will feel, how will they get there? Most people with money still have poor eating habits - they just spend more money on food. jmo ;)

Obesity increases the risk of MANY diseases. Unfortunately, woke politicians and others have more or less succeeded in normalising it, and making it non-PC to mock or shame fat people. So far fewer are now leaving those crisps and cream cakes on the supermarket shelf.

How about finding a middle ground? Normalizing obesity and mocking it are far ends of the spectrum. Giving honest feedback when asked, educating people, and showing by example how a proper diet gives us a calm demeanor and healthy body are way more effective than mocking and shaming people, which puts them on the defensive. And it's addictive - we offer our once a week cleaner wholewheat bread but she prefers the wholly refined white, and puts 3 heaped teaspoons of white sugar in her tea and coffee.

What I am pondering is why your body chooses to build up visceral / belly fat. I have lost a bit of weight. It was going well (1 kg/week) until all but my belly fat was gone, then I stopped losing weight even though I kept doing the same things. My conclusion is that there must be some "benefit" to the body to not lose that fat, but why? An alternative is that it is there because of disease that has not been dealt with, but that reverses the common statement that it is the fat that is the cause of those diseases. I'm no biologist, so I am stuck trying to work out which is the chicken and which is the egg.
