I used the Floyds Custom mag well and one round added base plate on with no spring change on my five M&P 2.0 10mm with a 4.625 inch barrel and no safety lever.
How are you liking it? With a single round add, I don't see the need for a spring change. I was having feeding issues with the +3 baseplate and needed a longer stiffer spring and now works great.
@@jr303official I love it and just wanted 16 + 1 for my needs. They told me I didn’t need a spring change or stretching and that is what sold me. I must qualify as a security guard and shoot 31 shots so one change of the magazine and I am good.
@jeffreylocke8808 Floyd's told me that all I had to do was stretch the spring. That was not good enough, and I was having issues. Now that I went with a longer, stiffer spring and cut it to what size I needed, it works great.
I didn't know I had to sand down the angles of the followers. I was having huge problems with the follower sticking as soon as I got to the 16th round in the mag. Thanks brother!
Yes, it's required. You also my need to install extended springs. I was having random feeding issues. It's due to stretching the spring. I added longer stiffer springs and cut them a little, and have had no further issues. Thanks for watching.
@@jr303official Let me ask you a question. From the video i see yours has what appears to be a problem that mine as well had. Mine came to me out of the box with a decent gouge that had been worn into the barrel, it appears your gun's barrel has the same type of wear. Mine is actually deep enough that I can kind of catch it with my fingernail. It does not affect accuracy, but it bothers me that it came to me as a "brand new barrel" with such a mark in it. I've never had another barrel that had that deep of a groove worn into it. Is this something you have going on in your model also? I have read multiple threads on forums of guys saying the same thing, and when they send it back to S&W they called it a "cosmetic flaw" and just buffed the barrel so it looked a little bit better. I believe it has to do with the nature of the lockup points of the barrel, and the shape inside of the slide on those surfaces. I've noticed on my firearm that the edges inside of the slide just a fingernails deep into the bore hole there is a sharp edge kind of protruding. As well I have noticed wear at the barrel hood lock up point on the slide. That part felt very sharp as well - and i noticed the barrel hood on the barrel was wearing a little bit jagged - as if it wasn't a nice flat smooth surface it was mating with. I went ahead and hit both of those sharp edges with some sand paper and oil and made them less rough - but my point persists. Can you confirm any of these issues on your model as well?
@truthseeking3818 I personally didn't experience those problems, although I felt like there was a bit of pitting on the barrel. I personally took it and sanded and polished the whole barrel and parts inside. I will try to look into what you speak of in depth, tho.
Nice they gave you a discount...I asked and they said they don't have one because their pricing is already good🤦I bought my parts nonetheless but not sure if I'll buy anything else and I definitely won't be promoting them on my channel just for that reason...nonetheless thanks for the video!
How much did you buy? I did spend $300+ but I asked a really nice sales lady and they said sure and just gave me a 15% discount. Like I said on the video I didn't mention my UA-cam or tbh expect a discount but I always call and just ask. I will see if I can get a 10% discount for all on my channel. Sorry you didn't get the discount. Thanks for leaving a comment and watching the video, I like your channel so you got another sub now.
@@jr303official not as much as you spent but definitely enough to get a discount..its not that big of a deal but I figured they would have given one...thank's
@@christopherrobin9472 you can get a optic cut on your current slide vs buying another. I would say find the optic you want and then have it cut to fit.

I like the detail you went into regarding the install of the magwell.
Thanks, I appreciate the comment. I have more videos coming soon.

My 5'' barrel had more wear on it straight out of the box from the Performance Center... You ever gonna actually shoot this thing?
This is my number one go to Pistol. I have videos shooting it in my shorts and other videos. Please visit the channel and take a look.

do you have to use FLOYDS mag extensions only? will others work strike industries, tarren,
I have never tried other extensions with floydz base plate. Floydz says you have to, but I'm not sure. It's a great question.
Well this was demonitized instantly. Thank you tho!!
I'm sure it was, we are going to try and put more content on uncensored platforms that believe in freedom.
