Yes, definitely working on it! It’s so crazy because when I’m thinking of Africa, The West and Asia I’m like where do I start! A lot of people have been requesting this so it’s next up. I’ll surprise you guys 😊
I totally agree. I would love to see a bit more about African beauty! As a mixed woman (white looking on the outside), I have slowly been learning about beauty products from the African beauty market that just work better for me in many ways after years of mainly using products geared towards Caucasian women. So hearing more about their forms of beauty or self care, I’d love to know more.
I live in London, not sure about NYC… but here the more upscale the area (Notting Hill, Chelsea, etc) the longer and more natural looking the hair of the women and the more natural the makeup. Less wealthy areas have more experimental beauty looks and you see short hair and fun colors in the hairstyles. I worked as a nude model for affluent people (art class) and literally only got hired for having natural looking long hair.
Affluence seems to point to “less is more”. I’m sure just as much effort that it takes to be experimental is the same amount with achieving that “upper echelon” kind of look. You must know how to make beauty look completely effortless, especially as a nude arts model
@@beautyandbeyond000 Aww! I would love to believe I have mastered effortless beauty :) did pick up some tips from art class + observing wealthy women + some of my own (I’ll just share here): 1) Scrubbing. Any flaky skin or cake like makeup / too much texture is very distracting. Is bettered to have imperfections than to have excessive makeup. Obvious bronzer lines, unnatural looking powdered blush and highlighters that are metallic and glittery do nothing but act as a magnifier. Women with money always look “Fresh” and for less money that means a great scrub, a moisturizer and a glow from within highlight. The aim is a texture to the skin that resembles a seashell or that of a glossy wax with some pearl. The strobing stick from Maybelline I think is one of the best products for this. The point is a look like you are lounging and your skin has taken a consistency of a beautiful creature that is ethereal, almost removed from reality…. Yet fully human. Paris Hilton sometimes does have this consistency to her skin. 2) When you buy makeup seek the closest possible tones of your skin when it burns, suntans of when it gets really cold. Those are your true undertones and not some magic charts off of the internet. 3) Find your ideal lipstick. One for day and one for night. You know it’s ideal when you can rub it on your cheeks and you look vital and healthy. 4) Exfoliating your lips and soap eyebrows are a huge yes. 5) Depending on your facial proportions perfect teeth that are too white can look unnatural and a bit scary. If your teeth are healthy, clean and not yellow that good enough. Fixing them further can subtract character from your face. 6) fast food = a coffee, sushi or a green juice. sweets are for children and treats are saved for holidays and special occasions. 7) aim to do core exercises (like Pilates) and avoid carrying heavy bags for long periods of time. Unless you are at the gym continuously taxing your body is not great for it long term. 8) Organic almond oil all over the body after showering. All over hands and feet twice a week during sleep. 9) when applying makeup think that you want to look like a pretty watercolor painting. If a color is not in nature (your nature) that means you apply some glitter or eyeliner and it’s a party look. For fun :)
