"Go Kah Ki" comes from the Malay term "5 kaki" which means five feet. Building bylaws then required a minimum 5 feet reserved for a walkway along the front of all shophouses which the hokkiens referred to as "go kah ki". So "wu jiaoji" is not five legged chicken 😅😅

jojo lolo Ye Sumei was one of my favourite SBC Channel 8 actresses of the 1980s. She was not one of the big stars, but her excellent acting spoke volumes. I remembered she acted as a character named 待弟 Daidi in this drama.
yue su mei is my mum's fave actress. in a few dramas one can see she is a very plain actress with not much makeup or beautiful clothes. Thus, compared to xiang yun jie, she is not pretty at all. Xiang yun among all the actresses of her time, is the only one who will always seen dolled up prettily. She will put on heavy makeup like dark eyebrows or eyeshadows. Only once a while but not often, when with light or no makeup, xiang yun jie really looks so different. Not pretty at all..I feel sorry for yue su mei as her acting is good but due to cause she is not dolled up in most of her earlier dramas, she is not able to shine and gives a deep impression on the viewers. As said appearance is really a key factor. Also in some dramas, she is not the main lead actress like xiang yun.

听到这首歌，就想到刚刚上周末(8Nov2020)离开了人世的美光姐。这首歌和美光姐似乎系系相关。她在"五脚基"那精湛的演艺，既使隔别了三十多年，还是那么刻骨铭心，那年(1987)，每当她在我家的小电视荧目出现时，总是穿着一双 'click clack click clack" 的木基，以'香烟婆'的一角与观众建立了非常亲切的关系，产生了共鸣。美光姐，您安息吧!😪
