Thank you so much. This is perfect teaching. I was going to give up trying to knit a sweater, with much regret, but you just gave me hope that I can do it if I follow your perfectly explained instructions. You are an angel. I started a blanket, so for now I will focus on it, but when I am ready to give another try to a sweater, I will refer to your video.
Crochet boyly here... even if I don't wanna knit a sweater (I'm knitting a sweater vest rn) your voice is actually so soothing to just listen to- time to binge watch so much :)
Thank you so much for this video. It’s by far the best one I’ve come across. I appreciate you sharing all your knowledge with us, I always enjoy your content. Thank you!
I have a few sweaters i want to make for myself this autumn and winter, so this came in just at the right time! Thank you for putting so much time and effort into this!🥰
AHHHH!! I'm so glad you made this video! I really enjoyed your legwarmer video you made a while back they are always so easy to understand and well explained so I'm super glad you made a sweater one! Spoiling us with all these uploads thank you Ikoxun!
wow so glad I come from a crochet family its so much easier and faster even with a G hook to make a sweater lol I did manage to knit a poncho from my hand spun alpaca years ago : ) This was fun to see come together you knit so well!
oooh i’ve been wanting to knit a sweater and this is exactly how i imagined it to be for my first time. i don’t think i’m quite ready for a raglan sweater yet
I literally just started learning how to knit again (as a crocheter) and have been wanting to knit a sweater. This is absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to get my new yarn and needles home so I can start knitting :D
You can try holding 2 strands of yarn. I didn't know it was a thing, but it changed my crafting life! Also, it is hard to tell that there are 2 strands in the finished product
yess chunky yarn is easier since it works up a lot faster. Plus what Cararina said is a great recommendation! holding two strands will make your yarn bigger and help it work up faster
do you have a favorite brand of interchangable needle set? this video made me realize that the only thing holding me back from knitting sweaters is not having the right needles.
the brand i use is Lykke ! my friend gifted me those but since they’re pretty expensive i’d recommend getting a set from amazon . Here’s the Lykke link www.lykkecrafts.com/
Awesome, i just jumped into knitting 12 days ago, started socks got bored by the foot part, now im starting my dogs sweater, my logic is if I can do a dogs sweater I can graduate to a human sweater
Idk if you take requests, but i would love if you could make a crochet/knitting video for pet outfits and accessories for the holiday season! Im wanting to make a sweater for my chihuahua/papillon mix! Btw, love you videos! Im currently making my first sweater! ❤
(Sorry if this is hard to understand, English is not my first language) Hello ! I follow your content for a long time but never commented, i wanted to thank you for all your work !! You are always so creative and chill it’s almost asmr to me ! I crochet since 2022, and i tried knitting before but it was making me insane. Now that i watched this and you guide for knitting I feel ready to give it a second shot ! I noticed that your needles are small and I can’t find this type of needles on the internet (probably because i don’t know how it’s called), could you give me the reference please ? Because I think that the long needles are part of why I hated it since I am verry small it was difficult to hold.
Could I ask, what's the benefit of casting on like this? Is it functionally any different from the long tail cast on method where you make the loops by holding the yarn in a triangle shape with your thumb and index finger and working the needle through? I'm really curious if it's a matter of preference or if one method is stretchier/sturdier/etc.
with straight needles, you’d have to do everything in panels . so 1 front panel, 1 back panel, and 2 arms all separate then attach them together. for the collar and wrists part, you’d have to knit them while you’re knitting the panels (so first knit the front panel with the bottom ribbing, then the body, then do the collar after but with some decreases then repeat this for another panel then sew together)
i think a variety would pack would help a lot! if you can’t get one, you can still make a sweater with those needles, you’ll just have to do the ‘magic loop’ method when working in the round on certain parts :)
You said that The collar you have to use smaller needle than the body needle how can I fix that? If I have one size which is 4.5! And how many yarn do you use with for this sweater ?@@ikoxun
@@Abf8_7 I'm thinking you could maybe do the ribbing normally and then for the body of the sweater, potentially double your yarn so that it's a yarn weight higher than the ribbing so that the ribbing doesn't look bulky if that makes sense. I'd test this out before making the sweater though! So make a small swatch with the ribbing & stockinette stitches and see how everything looks before starting the sweater :)
OMG, this #knittutorial is PERFECTION. Because of you, I will try to create my first #knitsweater. Fingers 🤞🏻 crossed that I can master this technique. Thank you 🙏🏻 Thank you...👉🏻 🫶🏻 👈🏻

Needed this !!!!!!❤
I just learned how to knit socks...now I can master a sweater!!
Chunky yarn looks so easy to work with. For some reason, there is only small yarn in my town and I have to do all of my projects with 4mm needles.
You can try holding 2 strands of yarn. I didn't know it was a thing, but it changed my crafting life!
Also, it is hard to tell that there are 2 strands in the finished product

yep, I might try that since winter is around the corner. Thank you

I just thought for days now: i need a sweater guide from you 😭🥹 you are a magician 🫂

the ones i’m using is called Lykke. they’re pretty expensive, but i also used to use some from amazon [amzn.to/48fHfAv]

where did you by you knitting needles?
they were a gift from my friend ! but here’s a website for the brand www.lykkecrafts.com/
Can you do a guide for crochet as well please?, cause I can't find any good quides for crocheting sweaters😭😭
I fucking love you
can you join in the round and work like that with just straight normal needles?
Hey girly , i dont know if you have a video like this for crochet , if not can we please get one? I cant knit to save my life.
Can i do it woth straight needle???

I want to knit my fist sweater and i only have 4.5mm needle and has long caples(80cm) wich do not changeable so any idea? I realy want to knit fr.
If you have a hobby lobby they have a good variety pack of interchangeable needles and cables (works for me as a noob at least)
i think a variety would pack would help a lot! if you can’t get one, you can still make a sweater with those needles, you’ll just have to do the ‘magic loop’ method when working in the round on certain parts :)
