@@CurrentAngling I bought that lure off your site & tried it for a bit at Garris Landing. It seems as almost it stays in top of water column? I figured I was reeling a bit fast and slowed down
@Conservative01 the baby’s bull shad is similar to a jerk bait where it has a slow but even rate of fall (ROF). Maybe 1ft per second. You can work it like a jerk bait and it suspends perfectly in the water column. If you reel it really fast it wakes on the surface and you can trigger topwater strikes that way. It’s a very versatile bait. If you want to change the ROF you can put on heavier hooks or try the baby bull gill which is a little larger profile and sinks faster. Enjoy and thanks for using my link!
I know the medium lights with 2500s are light ans comfortable, but at 4:30 that is the exact senario and reason i take at lease 1 3000 with a medium heavy set up.
Man I caught my first reds the other day! Went in at station 26 and headed towards the inlet to fish the docks. Caught 2 reds…but they were only 14”. But hey, a fish is a fish!
If you flip it quickly that kills the motor. It tries to fight you so you have to do it really quick or might add too much stress. I catch it underhand then rotate my arm and hand pushing my elbow out and to the side.
@@CurrentAngling Hey Corey, I'll be on St. Helena Island first week of December, fishing inshore, and need to restock some soft plastics. What colors Zman paddletails would you go with, and what size? Thanks.
Hey! Thanks for asking that should be a good week for fishing. With the water cooling down visibility will be increasing. I prefer the natural colors and fish them in this order from clean to dirty water; (clean)opening night, smoky shad, (fair clarity) bad shad, mud minnow, rootbeer (dirty). Speckled trout are very visual and sometimes key into odd colors, I keep purple death and electric chicken on hand when searching for trout. In no way do you need all of these colors but I would have at least a dark color like root beer or mudminnow and something light like opening night. I really like the 3” Minnowz. I find it’s the perfect size for all inshore fish. For late fall / winter another great option is the zman slim Swimz, they are smaller and Match the smaller bait in the creeks that time of year.
I appreciate you putting in the work for the drone. It’s like we’re right there with you. I can’t lie I was afraid for you when you launched it and said low battery 😂. You hope I don’t jinx you but have with this question but have you drowned a drone yet?
I try to get a few angles to make it feel like you have a whole experience. I also went from a chest to head cam so you can see everything I see. Yeah maybe too reckless w/ the drone because I haven’t lost one yet…. This is the closest I’ve come so far…. See 10:22 in this video 👉ua-cam.com/video/wJK7uZ3iFWo/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared 😂
No I fish patterns and read the water surface for feeding fish. After finding them I throw up the drone to record me fishing them. Honestly the drone is such a pain I’d be 2x more effective if I could just put it and the camera equipment away but I enjoy recording and sharing it.
Great tips on low tide, seeing where small inlets & where flounder would be. Nice Reds!
Thanks! It was a fun day. However, I don’t suggest casting to donkey redfish around docks with a 17$ lure…. That break off hurt $$.

100% correct that’s definitely advisable Around docks. Getting them in fast is also good for for the fish, more energy at revival.
Excellent video and very informative
Glad it was helpful!

Those docks are consistent. Plenty of sheep, black drum, and bigger reds there too. Congrats on ur first reds!
Nice video
Thanks!
LOVE your drone footage! Thank you for all your hard work producing these videos
Happy to do it and glad they are being watched!
Does tipping the drone quickly shut it off? If so that’s a huge tip for me!

SICK catch footage from the drone, dude!
Thanks! All the recording definitely gets in the way but it’s so much fun to record a second angle!

@@CurrentAngling Thank you!
Great content man! We are also LKA members. We are freshwater guys starting to get more into the inshore stuff and appreciate your inshore tips.
Awesome! Maybe I’ll see y’all at one of the LKA events.
Wow! Pretty impressive drone footage of a great catch. Fun watching it all unfold with that view. Great Job
Thanks! It’s fun when it all comes together. This one is my favorite starting at 06:20 ua-cam.com/video/DSTT6BzvuiY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared

Yeah I remember seeing that one. Good stuff!
Awesome video brother!! I know the drone is a pain, but it makes such a great video..Keep up the great work!!!!
Thanks man! The footage should get even better now that the cold ramps are clearing up the water.
The dolphin footage was great. I was kicking around getting a drone. What drone do you use?
This one is a DJI mini 2. I have a link to them in my description. Thanks for watching?
Do you just fly your drone until you see a school of reds then fish them

Also some drone shots are from previous trips overlayed in the video to show an example of what I’m talking about
