Mike, your invitation is a big compliment and so much deserved! Enjoy the experience and can’t wait to hear how it went!
Regular guys are the MoCo base, they need more guys like you with honest, insightful, opinions on their products.
Keep up the great stuff.
That's awesome Mike..very well deserved! Can't wait for the the video. Have fun!!
Hey Man Mountain Mike, I’m happy for y’all getting a chance to go to Vegas and ride the new 2024 lineup.
I’m interested in the torque between the SG the RG ST. Can you tell a substantial difference?
What is the head buffeting difference between the RG & SG?
What do you think about the smaller floorboards on the ST?
Finally can you give some details on radiator placement and aesthetics on the water cooled models?
I appreciate and respect your opinion on bikes. It is well deserved that you got invited by HD to the event. HD could do far worse than listening to and acting upon your opinions and suggestions.
Mike, you’re my favorite you tuber. You tell it simple and well thought out. Congrats on going to Vegas! I’ve always been a bat winger, but gonna have to ride them at Daytona to see what I like better. Have fun!
Congrats Mike!
Well deserved Mike! Looking forward to your feedback on the suspension!
Mike, congratulations! I’m happy and excited for you.
When you ride the Street Glide, let me know if you notice the lighter front end, specifically the weight of the fairing in the turns. Also, play with the fairing vent and tell me if you feel a difference in the wind buffeting with it closed.
When your on the Road Glide, feel the difference from the Street Glide and your batwing 4 life mantra may change.
Enjoy and safe riding!
I road the CVO’s in Sturgis which was lighter, I really enjoyed and it handled great, I do think buffeting was less. I liked the ride on the RG but still haven’t grown to love the RG. I have even considered buying one just to give it a real world chance…
I’d like to see a walk thru of the infotainment system and new hand controls.
good luck on your trip stay SAFE out there
I do like the new design and also I don’t like the air cleaner! I really like the white road glide haven’t seen one in person yet though! Congrats on being able to ride these new bikes!!
See you there brother. It’s going to be a blast. Well deserved 👊👍
I was hoping you might be there! See ya in a few days we are going to check out Vegas a lot on Monday after we land
Like the new intake
Mike, I am like you, I like chrome better, but now I really think it depends on the color of the bike. No doubt if I was getting a black bike I would go chrome. I think is hard to beat a black bike with the chrome polished up and shining. I have 15 Street Glide Special with Amber Whiskey and chrome and I really like that combo. I kinda like the Road Glide, but I am not sure I would like looking thought the fairing and seeing the road. Maybe it has to grown on you. My biggest complaint right now is still cost at my dealership. They are still wanted MSRP, plus their little add-ons and of course taxes(no way around that one). I was at my dealership yesterday and for a Street Glide(or road glide), Black with Chrome was going to be around $29,923.88 Out The Door.
I know there is more than enough markup from the factory that they could sell these bikes
for MSRP OUT THE DOOR! another words I know the factory could give the dealership some more room to operate. I guess I will not be getting one. I just can't give in to corporate greed. The store was over running with 2023's and a few 2024, and I believe I saw 2 CVO's Road Glide and one CVO ST Road Glide in White. Have a Bless Day!
You put out banger videos on motorsickles much deserved 👏 🙌 go have fun in Daytona enjoy the weather ..... be careful about that sand in the streets down by the water 💧 slick as snot I bet
If I was in the market for a bike the opportunity to buy a newer used one would be where I started looking , there should be some great opportunities for a 2021 to a 2023 available
As a Canadian, I love your channel. No forced opinions on guns or politics. Just the one thing we all love, motorcycles. Especially HD. Keep up the amazing work.
I have plenty of opinions but I treat to keep it motorcycle related or not do it.
I was at my dealer the other day and they had a new blue RoadGlide and they were adding the Special Package to it. It looked really good.
Have a great trip to Las Vegas and great to hear of the opportunity to ride the bikes. I would like to hear what your opinions are of the electronic dashboards are on the Street and Road Glide/ Also about the water cooled cylinder heads...
Love the blue and I'd go chrome with that color. My $0.02
I’m liking what I see. I will try to test ride these bikes while at Bike Week in Daytona 4 or 5 weeks from now. I’ve been a Street Glide guy for a long time. I did own a Road Glide for a short while. The changes on both bikes look great, but I like the Street Glides better still.
We are doing Daytona for the first time this year!
@@RidingintheOzarks If you go to the Speedway where they have all the demo days, look me up. I’ll be at the F.A.I.T.H. Rider tent mostly.
Black trim option is $1350.00. That is pricey. I personally like chrome anyway, including the air box cover.
Mike, first off congrats on the invite. Really enjoy your content keep it up.
My question is about the wiring harness to add a tour pack light or other accessory lighting to the back of the RG and SG. I’ve seen that the ‘23 CVOs had a different harness for the rear lighting so I’m assuming the new RG will have the same. Would you be able to address this if you get a chance. Thanks and enjoy your trip
They had one here with a tour pack and they sell touring package that includes everything you need to add it to the new models. I think it was $1800? I don’t have all details but it is doable
@@RidingintheOzarks thank you
Stay with the bat wing!!
What did HD do on the 2024 SG to correct the aerodynamic and handling issues of the 2023 CVO SG?
The biggest thing I want to know is how clean the airflow is on both bikes. Which one has more helmet buffeting? How do they compare to last years bikes?
What parts will carry over from the old bikes? Specifically seats, exhaust, intake, derby cover, and extended foot brakes. Since it’s still an M8, I’m assuming most mechanicals will fit the new bike, though I’m not sure if the 117 is different from the 107 and 114.
I wanna know about what levels of adjustment the rear suspension has on the regular Road Glide.
I’d also like to know if in the P&A catalog if they are gonna eventually release lighting switches for the regular Road Glide.
check the bag lids to see if the are still floppy
I'm behind the times. I'm looking at a '23 RGS which is a heck of a lot less than these new sleds.
The new base model has a lower MSRP and more features, but many dealers will make a deal on a 23 to move them out..
I thought of another question. On the RG and SG, can you enable homelink? How much does it cost? CVOs have homelink, but the new ST dies not.
since they are water cooled heads what temp do they run? i think they have it on display.
Where did they put the radiators on the Street Glide and Road Glide?
Mike, congrats on the invite. Tough question to HDMC.... Is this true ???
I have been hearing on the Non CVO models, the new navigation system, is a pay for play thing. Upwards of $1000 for 3 years. If this is true, all should know (IMO)
The SG has my interest, as I am in heat. Not a RG fan.
Thanks....
From HDMC: “The Road Glide and Street Glide come with CarPlay, but if you want to have embedded NAV there is a $349.95 subscription fee. The $349.95 unlocks the Embedded Navigation (main function) for the life of the bike. The first $349.95 purchase includes map updates and live traffic and weather during those first three years.
After the three-year period, the map updates and cloud services expire. Navigation remains on the vehicle, as a snapshot in time. There will be a 1-year renewal subscription option after the 3 years.”
This is partially because Google stopped supporting Android Auto on motorcycles so it gives those user another option or a choice if you don’t want to use a smartphone.
I want to know how the exhaust sound is on the Road Glide FLTRX, stereo, & ride modes are like.
Congratulations. Can you ask if the screen on the infotainment is different in the Road Glide regular and the CVO models. When Blockhead reviewed the regular RG the infotainment flickered in the camera like an LCD but the others that I've seen on the CVO do not flicher. For mr it looks one is LCD and the other OLED or one of the fancier ones. Hope you have a great time. Thanks.
I will ask but sometimes the flicker is related to camera settings, specifically frame rate…
Throttle response
A few questions. Are heated grips available as P&A? Are the heated grips like the new CVO or can you use the old style? How easy is it to adjust the rear suspension? I saw a ‘24 road glide at a local dealer. The left shock is similar to the old one, but I saw the right shock required a wrench to adjust. What does this impact?
It comes with the wrench in the saddle bag to adjust
Does having the fairing mounted on the body vs the forks really make a difference in handling when comparing the RG to SG?
I have never owned a RG but from people I trust the RG seems to be better when riding in higher speeds in high traffic situations like on the interstate and I don't know if it is handling as much as less fatigue on the rider and better stability as the handlebars don't transfer the buffeting to the rider on the RG. Does this make sense? But I will see if I notice any real difference on the rides.
Have'nt seen Stage IVs available for these new bikes as of yet.....Have you heard if you'll be able to do a 131 kit on these ? If so, one of the new Street Glides would probably be my next bike purchase.
I know they said in August that there will be stage kits but I don’t know to what degree, I will try to find out.
I stopped at the dealer and looked at them real quick. It looks like they have 4 spark plugs. So along with the water cooling, the heads must be quite different? I wonder how easy they are going to be to cam and such?
I was told when I rode the CVO there would be stage kit upgrades for this new VVT motor and stuff. How easy is yet to be seen
Does the new fairing do anything to keep the air coming through the forks around the tank and up under your helmet? For me with a full face helmet it caused a lot of buffeting that I used those fork deflectors to stop but for a friend who has a beard like you used to it that wind threw it up in his face
Does that new wind screen and adjustable deflector eliminate the need for a new wind screen? My issue with my current Harley and my 16 Street Glide were the same. One height wind screen worked good for in town but was horrible for highway
What do you think on the new handle bar controls?
How is the suspension on the base model?
I passed over another Street Glide when I bought my Low Rider ST in 23. I am planning to go ride both the Street and Road Glide and am worried I will end up on one if the dealer lets me have a good ride
I can say that HD claims helmet buffeting was reduced by 60% but I will see what I think in person and see what else I can learn for you
I will stay with my 2020 RKS 131 engine
Does the liquid cooling actually makes a noticeable difference when it comes to felt heat? That’s my question
With high temps near 70 I might not be able to tell but I will see what I can tell.
Can you get the blue bike with chrome engine
Yes
So the base models aren't vvt, but they have the vvt cam cover?? Possibly for upgrade ?? Very confusing.
No, its a cost saving move. Theyll eventually phase out the current cam covers on the non VVT engines. Other than engine sizes HD doesn’t care for different versions of engine covers and body work.
Which one are you gonna buy?
I am going to ride them before I decide and it will be a several months before I do buy but I’m leaning toward a blue Street Glide right now.
349.00 fee to get the Nav to work through your phone Hotspot? Android auto not work well?
I’m going get more details but I heard $300 and that’s is to work stand alone with realtime traffic updates and realtime weather. If using an Apple phone just use CarPlay, Android dropped supports for motorcycles period I heard so that’s not really a Harley specific issue but I will try and confirm that again.
VVT availability as a performance upgrade for the base models, ask that question.
Great Question!
@@RidingintheOzarks I’m sure you’ve noticed the cam housing on the 2024 base RG & SG look to be the same size which suggest an upgrade opportunity; VVT kit including programming @ a price.
Go over how the nav system is an extra cost. It wont work unless you subscribe 350 dollars for three yrs of service. Cvo get three months free. Then u have to pay.

This is partially because Google killed Android Auto on motorcycles… if you are on apple you don’t need to worry about it.
Rushmore bikes became obsolete overnight. The new bikes are far advanced.
How much does it cost to run the infotainment center on the new dash? I hear there is a fee associated with it.
I would like a bunch more info on the navigation system. I don't have an iPhone, so will I have maps on the screen?
350 dollars for 3 yrs of service on the nav system

Damn I wish we had some bike designers designing some motorbikes forgetting plastic has ever been invented
one thing the cvo's have that the non-cvo's don't have... is GPS..
Actually base models have it but there is a $350 charge for it and you get realtime traffic and weather. After the subscription runs out you keep Nav but lose real time updates, so I have been told by a dealer but will try to confirm.
@@RidingintheOzarks. Thanks, we need a lot more info on the GPS
I hear the cvo runs out after 3 months then u have to pay. And it's run by wifi not gps.
@@RidingintheOzarks They also released Harley branded CARDO bluetooth stuff this year.. That should make those anti SENA people happy..
question. did they have to make it ugly as hell?
I think they did that for you, in all seriousness I was not a fan at first but the SG fairing is growing on me.... RG not so much but I was never an RG fan.
@@RidingintheOzarks the sg is the better of the two, appearance wise, lucky me they made a ton of bikes prior to these that just took a hit on the used market.
Get the real world riding difference between the 121 and the 121HO..remember,your the tom cruise of two wheels 😅👍👍
It's kind of scary you're already talking about changing things on a brand new harley you haven't even bought or ridden yet, seems Harleys haven't changed that much then. Overpriced mediocre machines.
I buy Harley because I can change it with thousand of options available in the aftermarket. I hated fact there were very few options for customization on my first Honda.
@RidingintheOzarks it's actually a scam, the bike for the asking price should come fully equipped with everything, the bike off the showroom floor is an overpriced mediocre machine, until you spend thousands on an already overpriced bike. ✌️
@@Rpm68that’s actually an opinion not a fact, it’s ok you don’t get it but it’s not a scam. Scroll on and have a nice day
