One time for the LOLz I put a fake air soft surefire scout on my real SCAR17 so I could break it in 5 shots....that was 3 years ago now. It triggered an existential crisis, granted those have no zero or moving parts really.
Dude i got one of these off ebay and the ir laser shows up just fine through the $100 digital night vision scope also from ebay and i hate to say it but for center mass shots in the dark this piece of commy plastic works
Yeah no im here & i got NODs. Its just out of curiousity, contrary to what most would think there are affordable scopes on Amazon (dont know about wish) that will hold a zero through recoil, ive seen some withstand 12ga slugs. Theres no reason that a simple no-zoom dot sight should cost over $100 these days, & no reason that something like that sold for ~$60 is incapable of being rugged & durable. Your known name brands crank these out by the thousands & it doesnt cost them half the price they sell for. I was just curious to see if the new money laser brands had anything similar. The age where your glass would cost more than your rifle is over.
Exactly. It's ridiculous that the legit version PEQ-15 of DBAL costs around a 1000 plus. There's one or two laser diodes in there and a LED module, some button, and a fairly simple printed circuit board, that's it. The production costs are literally 1/100th of what they're sold for, the remainder of it is all profit. But that's probably all because of their intended market: the military. As soon as things are intended for the military, and the label "mil-spec" is slapped on it, prices suddenly skyrocket.
@@pieterveenders9793 yep, it does, & those of us who have been in the military know that "mil-spec" basically only means you can drop it and it shouldnt break 😂 sometimes it never worked to begin with

@Primo Mendoza A remote does not contain an IR laser, it contains a IR led which in the amount of IR light it produces would be just about impossible to cause eye damage
I bought one of them to see the quality. Mine did the same drained them batteries fast. But when I disconnected the red dot it stopped draining the battery. I bought too from geek and they are nice quality. For the price you can't beat it
The real PEQ had that same issue. The issue was a short circuit along the battery housing or something. It has been corrected in the current models of the real thing. All of the chinese PEQ have that issue except for the chinese clones that have a real IR laser, which are only about $10-15 more. The ones with a real IR laser will not drain the batteries passively.

Just watched another guy using one on his AR and he gets through 3 mags before the laser is way off lol
It's not hard to see once I took it apart. Better duct taping a laser pointer to the end. It may be off, but I bet it will hold steady.
Totally worth $30, I bought one prior to video. Comes in 3 colors from what I've seen.

Those are plastic for the real thing too buddy lol
I had a feeling. Too funny!😂
Slightly tempted to get one for a novelty on a mk18 clone

The Element PEQ-15 is a branded laser, if you buy an FMA PEQ-15, then it's still branded.

This is the review I been waiting for thank you for being real

Would you recommend this for cheap cheap ir laser?
Dang I want this just for my 22 plinker thanks for posting this!!

I wanna see what the all metal $145 unit does.. if its any better or if ur just paying an Xtra $100 for a metal housing.
I got one on my ar15 22 ,it should hold zero on it, right?
I got mine for 76 cents. I'm just gonna say it's a good deal

Yes as long as it can see ir light it should be good to go

won’t hold zero on anything more than a 22
Had a burst laugh with that intro lol thanks! 😂
There is a vid on YT form a dude who put this on actual AR and claims the zero held for about 4 full mags, interesting I think
you should never point an ir laser towards your direction, that can still make you go blind
