It's a request to everyone, no one will spoil anything about the show to them.
I won't that is for sure. And from the Reactors that I have watched who are now choosing this great series, the comment sections have remained awesome. No spoilers at all.
@@nonman3634 Only way who's already seen the series screen it for them. That's the only way to be 100% safe.
SPOILER:
EVERYONE DIES.
i realize I am kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new tv shows online?
Boy have you picked the best show. Bear in mind the first 4 episodes form the initial arc and really should be watched together. This show grows each episode in a way I haven't seen in any other show ever. I can't recommend it highly enough.
With all the Mass Effect vibes you're getting, you might be interested to know that Shohreh Agdashloo, who plays UN Deputy Undersecretary Chrisjen Avasarala was also the voice of Admiral Shala'Raan vas Tonbay in Mass Effect.
WOW i never knew that o.O . . . love this show even more now !
Yessss!! When i saw her i almost lose my shit!
Thank you. I knew I recognized that voice and it was driving me crazy.
She has one of those voices so distinctive that, once you know the name attached, you can hear her anywhere and _instantly_ recognize that it belongs to Shohreh Agdashloo.
Shohreh Agdashloo is one sexy GILF. That voice, like a Persian Jeanne Moreau.
Shohreh Aghdashloo, who plays the UN Deputy Undersecretary Chrisjen Avasarala, played the mother of Detective Dinah Madani in The Punisher, so I guess that was that, but she's done a ton of work, so it could be something else, too, of course. We were lucky to meet her at FedCon earlier this month, and she's truly an amazing presence.
Ralph Kruhm She was also a Starfleet Admiral in Star Trek Beyond.
After the character and world building.........The show will reveal its face !! Its MIND BLOWING and BREATH TAKING !!
That's right as fuck. The show takes its time to give you some context (culture, dramas, motivations, personalities...) and then it suddenly becomes a drug you can't stop watching
Expanse reactions? automatic subscription.
This show loves to throw in little details for world-building - one of my favorite tidbits which you've already seen is how Belters use hand gestures while talking. This is left over from the earliest settlers of the belt, as they spent a lot of their life in a space suit, before the large stations were built, and it was just plain easier to communicate with hand signals.
The expanse is a amazing series and rather accurate on a lot of the science so buckle up your in for hell of a ride :)
Every now and again, I will rewatch reactions to some of my favourite shows. This is one of those times haha.
So glad you two are watching this amazing show! Kat's chroma key eye shadow was having a very trippy effect.
Yea. Lesson learnt. No shade of green, period 😩
I thought it was kind of cool actually 😁
I thought it was cool too. Sort of hi-tech eyeshadow which is appropriate for The Expanse.
I was just soooo pleased with the result that I am really sad it's glitchy so it can't be seen.
I WAS SO PROUDDD 😫😢
Getting a Mass Effect & Blade Runner vibe already? You're definitely playing/watching the right stuff! You're so going to love this ... The Expanse is my favourite show at the moment, and the more people react to it, the better.
I fucking love this show! So glad you guys are gonna catch up with it.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. You two are in for a TREAT!
Best and most underrated show you guys have picked up, been here since GOT and Chernobyl but this is the show which has made me subscribe to you guys, hope experiencing all 3 season again with you guys.
The Expanse is very underrated. Best sci-fi. I think the future will be like this.
Some find the first 3 episodes abit slow, by the 4th episode though it really kicks up a gear.
I think Kat will really enjoy it. and Sonny, I missed sooooo much the first time I watched it, so I reckon you'll enjoy it far more than the first viewing :)
Miller, is the stereotypical broken man cop/detective, very film noire.
So glad you are doing this... so excited.
Off to plug your reaction on expanse forums... :)
Yeah , I couldn't get into it the first time I watched, but the an I came back to it . Then I couldn't stop watching. Amazing show.
@@WhiteHawk77 true, it got better season by season. S1 was fine, s2 was great, and s3 was one of the best scifi seasons I've ever seen. Hopefully s4 can keep up the trend (unlikely, since book 4 is probably the worst)
primo what is your opinion now?
The Expanse is exactly what I think future space travel will be.
A couple of notes on Belter Creole, Miller was called "Welwala" by the radical OPA (Outer Planet Alliance) Belter and Miller said it mean't "traitor to my people". Welwala literally means "Lover of Gravity Wells" ( of the inner planets, Earth and Mars). There are also accompanying hand signals for most of the terms because it's derived from spending most of their life in space suits where you can't see facial expressions. There's also another term that you'll hear often, "Felota", which means, "floater" or "floating shit". I love how the language is related to the space environment, which shows the depth and attention to detail of this show.
Thank you guys for covering this! The Expanse is such a great show & just gets better each season.
Does anyone know when the next season comes out?
Nate Higman they will most likely be announcing the S4 airdate at their SDCC panel on July 20th.
@@corsa180 Sweeeeeeet.
Our favorite guy Mike from Breaking Bad I remember him best from 35 years ago as Victor’s right hand man in Beverly Hills Cop.
I'm so happy you decided to react to this show! Let's go!! :D
So glad you picked up this series, it's some of the best sci fi there is. Also, you guys played Mass Effect? That's awesome
This is a great show. Looking forward to your reactions
Kat, I agree completely--this is not "Firefly". THIS is (firefly + mass effect + detective novel + blade runner + spy novel). Feel better, gorgeous. I hope you like it, guys! I
Yes, more Expanse reactors. Thats what this show needs! Have fun :)
Some find the first season a bit slow but there are plot elements in season 1 that have a dynamite payoff in season 2! This is an amazing show.
So happy you guys are watching this. One of the best sci-fi shows in decades. After season 2 ended I IMMEDIATELY ordered the entire book series. It's just gonna get better and better.
Something to remember: This first episode is trying to literally introduce *every* character we'll be following for the rest of the series all at once...as such, we really only get to see one small aspect of their personalities.
Basically, everyone - and *everything* - is a lot more complicated than it seems here.
The Expanse! Here we go!!
Cas Anwar, who plays Alex, also played Gordon Spillet, the civil war journalist in a fairly recent remake of Mysterious Island.
Oh snap!!!!! Call me surprised. But in a good way. The Expanse is my favorite series in the game right now.
One thing I can attest to, is once you get knee deep in the show it is tough to not binge watch the whole thing.
Guilty!
I loved her reaction. I’m subbed. Reliving the show vicariously thru your reactions.
This is going to be great! Excellent show choice!
This show gets stronger and stronger each season. If you love sci-fi then you've picked the best drama on tv, regardless of genre. It's that good. Welcome to the #ScreamingFirehawks :)
I'm glad you guys started watching this show. It only gets better.
Expanse is the Star Trek of Our generation, is the best..
You mean The Orville!
Both are great, they just have a different base and style!
The Expanse is more dark and action!
#ScreamingFirehawks....ASSEMBLE!
One thing I would add is that ALL the characters have real, believable arcs. They change and grow because of the situations and events that they find themselves in. Have fun with this show. It's over that gets better as it goes on.
I actually love the time the show takes with the first few episodes to properly build the world and characters.
You guys are my new favourite reactors! You always choose great shows to watch and this one just gets better and better every season. Hälsningar från Sverige!
Heja Sverige!
Fan du är söt
Good choice of show to build subs and likes. The fan base is awesome, great for not spoiling anything, very patience, and generous in explaining the intricacies of the plot. This show is my favorite, it is a fantastic series with deep source material to take from. Welcome to the family and enjoy.
so glad you're watching this! :D
I started to watch this series a couple weeks ago, I still have to finish season 3.
I think you are going to enjoy this.
Season 1: This is a really good show
Season 2: Holy god.....
Season 3: *insert Dave Chappelle crack meme "Y'all got any more of them Expanse episodes?!"
good.. its worth a rewatch. everyone wanted more Firefly...
I love this show! The first season has a ton of info in it but it gets better and better! Also watch VIKINGS!!!
. Hi just subscribed. Looking forward to you both reacting to this great series.
Love this show can't wait to see your reactions!
binging the expanse seasons 1 - 3 by rewatching all the reactions ... woohoo
Kat's eyebrows on fleek and eye makeup ON POINT. Serving us reactions and fashion lewks! Btw, you two are so telegenic and make a beautiful couple... 👫 Really enjoyed your unique take on "Chernobyl" and looking forward to future reactions.
THANK YOU!
This comment means everything to me, since it's a biiiig hobby and creative outlet of mine, so it makes me so happy to be aknowledged like this 😭🦄
Noice! I didn't expect you guys to watch the Expanse. What a pleasant suprise!
Found you through Chernobyl. So glad I subscribed. Other series recommendations: Alterered Carbon (Netflix), Battlestar Gallactica (remake).. not sure where you can get it but its excellent.
Yes ! Thank you for reacting to this show !
Awesome series! You are in for quite a ride!
"that was hell of a ride"
Just subscribed and looking forward to your take on this fantastic series.
Spot on with the Mass Effect comparison. The Expanse is like ME meets Mad Max meets Game of Thrones. The books are written in a similar manner as GoT POV chapters following different characters in separate settings with different perspectives of events.
They look so young.....
Yay! I’m so glad you started this show. I wish more people would check out The Expanse.
If anyone wants to check it out it’s on Amazon Prime.
You saw the cop Miller show two sides. One one hand, he was unscuplous and seemingly uncaring for his own people, the Belters, but on the other hand he'd only let offenses against Belters go so far. He's a conflicted soul.
The detective was called a "welwalla." That Belter term means "well-lover." It refers to the gravity well of the inner planets and the people who love that high gravity. It's kind of the way sailors use "landlubber" to mean "land lover." A resident of the inner planets is expected to be a "welwalla," but a Belter called a welwalla is a traitor to his people.
You saw Chrisjen Avasarala as a tough, no-nonsense Earth politician who will go to great lengths to protect Earth. It's very interesting that she's such a hardcore politician but still a soft wife and grandmother.
You saw Naomi Nagata shown to be a canny engineer. And you saw Holden who turned out to have a White Knight streak.
One thing to note about the production values is that all the members of the production crew are encouraged to study their science and are free to do whatever they can to make their part of the program more realistic. You will see that in many background and scene elments. This is perhaps the "hardest" science fiction that has ever been screened since 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Something continually wonderful are the extremely well-played small parts. Many actors will grab your attention and make you believe their roles with just a few lines.
I just started the series, physics are realistic, Firefly fan here also, FRINGE is a great show!
Yay!!! One of my top 5 favorite shows.
No lasers, no shields, no warpdrive. No jetfighters flying through space. I love it. And naming the spaceship after Don Quixote's horse is quite poetic. They fight windmills too.
Wow, just googled the meaning of the name. It's deep. 😉
😂😂😂😂😂 While I typed in this they talk about fighting windmills in 3/1. Spooky!
So glad you guys picked this.
I just realized I hadn't watched ANY of your Expanse reactions when I saw the S5 thumbnail
Well.....let's correct that!! See you in 3 months when I catch up lol
My favourite tv series and they have alot of great source material to pull from the books as well.
Yessss! I love this show!
Great show. Great choice. You are in for a fantastic time.
Yassss!!! Kat and Sonny you guys are the best! Keep shining and stay golden my friends :D
Kat should know that the biggest difference between this sci fi series and all previous works is that it actually portrays as much real science as possible. Whereas most TV shows cheat gravity with fake tech like "inertia dampeners" made up in Star Trek etc.. Gravity, acceleration, human limit to G force tolerance, mutation as a result of being in a zero G environment... The show could conceivably be our own future a 100 years from now.
Best show on television...ever. Some folks feel it takes about 4 episodes to get "hooked", but it's well worth it. Show just keeps getting better and better, season to season.
this show is so good! it's gonna blow ur minds!
Automatic sub for all new Expanse reactions! It think it's the best live-action show on right now, hands now. It throws at lot at you up front, but it is so worth the journey. Good luck!
EXPANSE HYPE!!!!!
Hey,one of the best SiFi Things I saw the last 20 years (I`m a little bit old,was 16 when StarWars came out),hope you continue and enjoy it,love your reactions!Greetings from Germany(Bavarian)
Its like the guns of August, something just waiting to happen, and losing some one he cared for is so sad.
The first Episode is just showing the major characters!
Yay! I've found new Expanse reactors 😍. Loved your reaction so much guys, can't wait to see episode two wich I'm watching right after this
Stay Awesome, and have a great weekend 💜🎥🎬📺🚀💜
Hey guys, so amazing you're doing this show! Having played Mass Effect myself i had the very same impression and even through the story as well. It's just a fresh Sci-Fi experience with a whole new enviroment to discover :) And yeah, just take your time, i won't push you to put out a lot or like 3 episodes a week
Awesome i just found you're channel, gonna watch all you're expanse reactions right now, also subscribed to you guys 😎
Hello Elf, hello Sonny, Scifi is not too relevant. The humans, their relations, emotions that arise, that's what's making it. It grew slowly on me, but completely. Meanwhile I almost start crying when I hear the intro music :-)
But Elf, how can you already cry on an exploding ship, when you have not much connections to characters? Oh you will love the show :-D You will love Amos. And Miller. Everyone does.
Also bobby/gunny and Avasarala.
Good choice hope you enjoy it.
yes Yes YES!!! This is gonna be awesome. Liked, subbed, notifications...all of it.
You two stumbled on the best SyFi series on TV. If you only enjoy it half as much as I, you're going to love it! We'll see if you're hooked by E4. That's where they hook you.
Strap in, make sure your dispensers are full of 'Juice' cos this ride is going to get crazy! Enjoy!
Welcome to the fandom! The first season is so great, and then seasons 2 and 3 are so amazing. Be prepared for feels, and amazing action, with realistic physics and plausible technology, unlike basically every other sci fi show
Is she shed a tear on the first episode then season 2 and 3 is going to wreck her.
Fantastic choice of show, just about the best sci-fi around. It is based on a series of books, which are up to 8 books so far. Also, Jarred Harris who played Legasov in Chernobyl is a semi regular as well.
Welcome, new Firehawks! Enjoy the ride.
And I can already tell which episode is gonna break Kat, like it broke many of us. So, shhhh, everyone. Let them get there on their own.
Yay!
oooh man one of my favorite shows.
The Expanse! Just patiently until episode 4 - episode 4 is great and everything starts there for real ;)
Kat...your make up had a special power to glitch camera xD
Hey, I noticed that make-up induced camera glitch, too.
Komandor Bentus
I knoooow. No more green shaded eyeshadow for me 🙃
Crying on episode one? Oh she's in this! Welcome to the screaming fire hawks!
both my favorite series are sci fi The Expanse and The 100 am currently keeping up \/\/ith the 100 season 6.
I'm so glad you two jumped into this. I've watched every season. Eagerly awaiting season 4. You might recognize a certain character from Chernobyl on here.
I love this show. Gives me Mass effect vibes. Shohreh Aghdashloo is everything. (Who was in Mass effect 2 coincidentally)
Even the color palette is spot on Mass Effect! 😭😍
💯💯💯💯💯just started binging this month Dec 2019💯
no spoilers but you should know 3 things about this show(besides the fact that it`s awesome):
1 it's heavy on the worldbuilding, esp. at first, even by scifi standards. if you enjoy that, you'il fall madly in love with how scientific/ realistic it all is.
2 pretty much all questions get answered, but some of them the very next episode, others a season later, and some so quietly you might miss it.
3 the show doesn't mirror the pace of the books: book 1 ends at S2E5, book 2 at S3E6, book 3 at S3E13(guess which 1 bookreaders moan about).
Nice work
You won't be disappointed.
I suggest approaching this show on a "full immersion" or "you are there" basis. This is far easier if one comes into with some background in planetary astronomy and 70 years of science fiction tropes but in any case putting yourself right in there and living it helps.
They show things in this program that I first read in Heinlein and Asimov novels in the early 60s, but have never seen on screen before.
yes! the expanse! subed XD
