I do believe that moving your stuff from the trailer to a house, and vice-versa, can be stressful
at times. But it's a great way of checking each of our stuff from time to time and being able
to assess which ones are really essential, especially during a pandemic.

TJ continually impresses me with his sweet demeanor and quiet confidence. Loved his comment about 'not wishing anything bad on his neighbor.' Who does that or says that anymore? He is a keeper and a half!!

@@EmbracingDetours - was going to mention, we initially had thought of taking the same northern route you took from Vegas, but with it being early March, there was still a lot of snow (apparently) along the route, so my wife was somewhat anxious about going that route, but it apparently is beautiful scenery, of which you've shown some here! Perhaps we'll do that next year, as I get tired of the same route via the I-5 all the time, although it's the fastest, yet the scenery can get old after you've done it year after year! We have taken trips down to Utah (quadding) so we eventually pass through Salt Lake City, and the region from Washington all the way to Utah is overall pretty nice! I'm always looking for the most scenic routes, if we have the time. Often with reservations, one might not have the time of course, but there are just so many scenic choices out there these days!

We are part time truck camper adventurers and as such we have been self isolated in our home in north Georgia since February. We had no travel plans until April anyway so our routine wasn't interrupted much. The truck camper is still under cover and I have had lots of time to make some long awaited upgrades such as adding an Easy Start and insulating and adding a vapor barrier to the cab over as well as upgrading to a new mattress. Not traveling, we miss the enjoyment and I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to travel in these times regardless of the lock downs so I enjoyed your video just to get a little taste :-) Not many actual travel videos being posted these days. I hadn't made a video in quite a while so I made one documenting our sequestration just to keep in practice. Amazing how something so small that it can't be seen can turn the whole world upside down like this. Hope we all get back on the road soon. Stay safe and patient.

Hello Brie, TJ & Fur Babies:
Thank you for the scenic video of your northbound travel to your temporary home. Parts of it were a little sad to watch. 😏
Looks like Jack feels better and the doggies seem as happy as ever! 🐱🐶
Sacramento County is still locked down until May 22. However, they are allowing medical appts to start up and opening up a bit more.
Too bad because the weather is gorgeous, mid 70s reaching to mid 90s by Friday. Our grandkids are very anxious to come over and swim in the pool. The oldest is now home from the hospital and is recovering from his brain surgery.
We hoping that you guys enjoy spending time with your family. Before you know it you'll be back on the road! Take care and try to keep your chin up!
Sending blessings to all of you! ☺️🌹🙏🌹

Well done & said. We too had a like experience as yourselves. We cut our 'snowbird' trip short. We left the desert just outside of Phoenix & headed back to Portland Or. When we started our trip( 2/11) the "virus" had not made the impact here in the U.S. I usually like to drive ~4 hours a day but did 10-12 this time to get back. Although we were fine in the Desert we felt like we'd be more comfortable in our 'sticks & bricks' after being gone ~ 7+ weeks. We altered our original return route due to heavy snow forecasts . Very eerie driving I-5 tru North L.A, & other large metro's with little to no traffic. Tons of Semi's but little to no cars. Totally the opposite other times. We always super clean the trailer after each trip so its ready for the next trip as well. Same drill at the storage unit.

Thanks for the shots from the road. We just made the same trip a few days ago from AZ back to the Puget Sound even stopping at the same Loves in Ely. It was great reliving it through your video. Having taken all routes through Nevada, we actually prefer the vast nothingness. The drive up 93 and 318 has always been one of our favorites. Cheers!

Great video with great content. The scenery was awesome and the lock down procedure was excellent. I am currently living in my 41 foot 5th wheel with my wife and two German Shepherds. We live in a resort until I retire early next year. We also have a 26 foot toy hauler that we intend to travel in full time. The 5th wheel was a little inconvenient for the type of travel we will be doing but we now have options. Currently using my toy hauler as my telework office due to the poor connectivity at the park.

I'm glad you guys are somewhere safe. I will miss your adventures. Let's hope this doesn't last all summer. We would like to take our 5th wheel east from Oregon sometime this year. Oh well. It is what it is. Hope the pets adapt to the non travel mode quicly. Take care.

We too are fulltimers and made a 2200 mile trek back "home" on March 14. We left Lake Havasu City, AZ and made it back to Charlotte, NC in 4 1/2 days. Luckily, we have room and amenities for the RV on family land, so we're good and comfortable. Stay safe guys! ~Lynette (P.S. - we're one of those FTmer's looking for some sort of home base! I don't want to get caught like this again.)

Hey Guys, Watching your video this week, I cannot help but to think back to our COVID drive home from Florida this past March. Like you, we had a couple long days driving. Unfortunately, the weather and scenery was not as picturesque as your trip. Sadly, we both have parked our Airstreams for the time being. We will use this time to do some of the projects we been wanting to do and plan future trips for when the time comes to hit the road again. Take care ...Zephyr. P.S. - love the lock idea for the propane tanks, will be doing that to ours.

We’ve never done that route north through Nevada. Looks pretty with the white capped mountains. Good job on the DampRid! We use that in our trailer when it is in storage.

It seemed much prettier in the Spring then when we were there last Fall... not sure if it really was (the white capped mountains don't hurt) or if it was perspective. Whatever the reason, it was a very enjoyable drive. And with the DampRid, great minds think alike 😉

Thankfully we don't have to be sad too long - Washington just started phase 1 of their slow reopening plan earlier this week and we were able to go out for a nice hike which we'll be bringing you in next week's video! It's not exactly the same but we hope you still enjoy 👍Thanks, you stay safe too!

I have noticed that you occasionally have problems with "jumping cholla" cactus. With 25 years of horse riding in the deserts, I found the best thing to carry was a hair comb and a small pair of pliers. Removing cholla cactus is a breeze with a comb, and the single spines left can be easily pulled with the pliers. Just a little helpful hint to make your hikes a bit more enjoyable.

That was a beautiful drive although I know it was a long day and sad knowing you arent gonna be on the road again for a while. We hope to get out to that neck of the woods one day. We had planned on last Sept but family stuff prevented our trip and now on top of the family stuff still this year there is this crazy stuff going on. Sooooo, looks like not this year either... You two and the rest of your family take care and stay safe and healthy...

I’m sitting in the Ruby Inn Restaurant having dinner. The Park is open with some restrictions. Not sure if the campgrounds are open. The visitors center is closed. You don’t have to pay to get in. You just drive through. There are some RV parks just outside the park that are open. Not business as usual but they are open.

We tow a travel trailer with a cargo van (minimal windows) and carry a porta pottie in the van. The passenger can use the porta pottie carefully with drawn curtains while moving. I haven't figured a way for the driver yet.
I keep my trailer in a storage yard also. This is the best one yet out of three that I have tried so far but still someone tried to steal my orange cones and pieces of old lumber when I had a boat also.

Great prep work. This Covid-19 poop has everyone going crazy! Just someone you know giving you a hand shake feels strange. My dad is on his death bed 650 miles from me in nursing home and I'm not allowed to visit, and if he does pass away there can not even be a real funeral.

All though we don’t have a travel trailer. We go to Whidbey Island north of Seattle almost every year. We have driven different routes to get their and now when we go we always go the 93 route. It can be pretty boring driving this way but we like that its a lot quieter of a drive. We usually stop at Mountain Home, Idaho only because I’m retired military and we can stay at the Air Force base their. We are getting close to retirement and want to get a truck & an rv and do some traveling. We live in Vegas and enjoy your blog.

Hi guys....one thing, ....TJ disabled the battery, so the rain guard on the Fantastic Fan won't work since it has no power. Just a FYI....if it rains hard....it won't close. Wish you both well, and hope someday to see you on the road. We are not full-timers but like to get at least 100 days out in our RV. Blessings....

That video made me sad for you. Things are looking better, though. We rode to Roan Mountain, Tennessee State Park last Sunday and the park and campground is open. We saw online that the privately owned campgrounds in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee were taking customers also. Dollywood is preparing to open, but, we're not sure when it will happen. It's a good thing that barber shops open the 7th. My hair is tickling me in places it's not supposed to. Lol

Sorry, haven't watched too many of your video's up to this point, mainly because there is quite a number of 'full timers' and even 'part timers' now on UA-cam, and getting to them all truly takes a lot of time! Nonetheless, I usually watch UA-cam video's on my laptop, but today I'm doing so from the TV, but one can't (as far as I know) type comments, so here I'm back to your channel, so I can comment. With a ton of respect meant....BRI, you're gorgeous....TJ certainly is good at choosing an eye appealing partner! My wife & I have two daughters, probably not much younger than you....(they're gorgeous too:) and albeit we've kept our 'sticks & bricks' love to travel the country too, as 'part-timers'! With the border all closed for travel, it looks like we'll be travelling here in Canada, at least over the short term, and that's only if/when things open up, with no guarantees of when that will be either, as much depends on the numbers of Covid 'numbers' once things open up. It looks like that might be a little more liberal in the U.S.A, where I believe we'll be more stringent on that here in British Columbia! Like TJ, I try and do much of my own maintenance, and I've done a ton of things since we 'rushed' to get home in March, from our Arizona trip this year. Heck, I even did my own Cummins oil change & filter, as well as both fuel filters, and the same with the Onan generator! Switched out batteries, changed the battery isolator, and fixed an electrical short in the connection in the wall of the bathroom! Many other things over the last year, but I won't bore you with that, but please keep us abreast of your 'quarantined' life too, and I'll now look at some of your past videos! I appreciate them very much, realizing just how much work is involved in the process, from start to finish! You both stay safe, and enjoy as much as you can under the circumstances!
