Besides this is a movie, and I am no expert, but to me it would make sense for it to have a manual targeting mode as well as the automatic.
Funny enough my parents and i had just finished one movie. Then we still had time so my dad asked if i wanted to watch another. Ended up choosing this. Was not disappointed. Loved the action
I forgave all the plot holes and all the other things wrong with this movie because the scene with the Missouri firing those big 16 inch guns forgave all sins.

Just went on a cruise to Alaska last week. As our ship was prepping to leave Seattle, I saw a U.S. destroyer moored in Puget Sound from my stateroom, and (with binoculars) instantly recognized the white "53" on her side from one of my favorite movies. Very cool to see it in person.
I actually hated this movie when it came out because the plot was just so bullsh*t. But now I admired some of the scenes because they did a fantastic job with the CGI and showing the ship's weapons
I don't really care much about a movie's plot, just its ability to entertain me. And Battleship certainly did. Though it didn't have much of a plot, to me it was highly entertaining and action packed. Loved it.

What i noticed at 2:26, is i think it's an actual footage of a missile launch onboard a Burke Class Destroyer or Similar(probably a test run idk) but it's just something that caught my eye watching this. Lovely scene though from the movie!
No. The scene where the Destroyer cruised serenely through all the wreckage she had just created. If there was a scene where Rihanna did that, I must’ve missed it.

The movie was awesome, I loved it but I noticed some things were inaccurate, like some times the CIWS was one version and then it was a other, also the USS John Paul Jones is a flight 1 arleigh burke class destroyer, and in some scenes it is a flight 2a, the flight 1 doesn't have hangars, the flight 2a does
I can’t take credit for this theory but when the aliens arrived the Missouri vets began preparing the ship for battle with help from all the vets that call Pearl Harbor home so the Missouri was as battle ready as possible. The vets knew she was going to be needed.
This movie relayed pretty much themes of both ships playing a role, destroyer of modern age, all advanced and geeky, with pin-point accurate, destructive weapons, capable to spell doom and kick far above they weight class, meanwhile battleship is just big, sturdy, and erase radar directions.
Can someone explain why they pulled the rifles out? I have seen this many times and just don’t get it. Those rifles would do absolutely nothing against the alien ship. Also do navy and coast guard deploy rifles after being told battle station?
