I've been impressed with Kirsten Stewart career trajectory too. The movies she chooses to do are often surprising/unexpected, which is pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing this one when it's available.
I’m not what one would call a Kristen Stewart fan, but I have watched enough films based on Bryan’s recommendation to trust that this is indeed a good film and worthy of my time. Also, it looks metal as hell! So, I will be checking it out.
my favorite talented unique actress Kristen Jaymes Stewart❤❤❤❤❤
Your description sounds like Bound meets Natural Born Killers. Two of my favorite 90's movies.
I watched it last night at it's UK premiere in Glasgow Film Festival. Came out the cinema thinking there were strong Natural Born Killers vibes, especially towards the end. You've hit the nail on the head with that description!
@@benkilpatrick2331 Have you seen Bound? It's a great movie also.
Just based on how different her first two movies are, I'm very excited for Rose Glass's next project.
There is a strange familiarity when seeing the trailer, then it hit me: Nicholas Winding Refn! Hope that Rose Glass is carrying that mantle.
I felt that too, it’s like an “I, Tonya/Goodfellas sort of vibe, that feels so realistic and gritty
Rose Glass’ debut feature Saint Maud is a horror masterpiece. Can’t wait to see this! 🍿🍿🍿
Hi Brian- thank you for this review. I always enjoy hearing your take. I think one key thing you might be missing about this film that I have also not heard many other people mention, is what a terrific film noir it is. I feel like some people are looking for some sort of deeper meaning here but basically the main theme of all film noirs can be boiled down to these two words “You’re fuck$d.” For various reasons that are not spelled out in the film, and that we don’t necessarily need to know, the main theme here is that no matter how hard these characters try to lead any sort of normal life, that is not gonna happen for them due to their various life circumstances. As fellow humans with our own various interesting circumstances, many of us can relate. Maybe you’re just not as much into noir??
Not only was this one of my fav movies of 2024, it’s one of my all-time favorite movies! It just has to much personality, I fell in love like Lou fell for Jackie
It sounds really good
I love neo noir
Awwww you ran into the twins !
The Awards Contender Do you think that Kristen's performance could be considered Oscar Whorty?
We're you more surprised than when you saw Saltburn?
♥️
It star's Kristen stewart so I'll be watching it.
Despite some fantastic sequences, it turns out that sometimes subversion means that the macho women can be just as dull as the macho men. C-
Kristin has 2 movies debuting at sundance, she's WORKING, I will give her that even tho I don't think she's a good actress.
Why are you commenting so much about her when you don’t even like her?
@@dubbadekken cause I can do whatever I want
This movie gets a great review or the critics get fired.
I'm not a fan of Kristin Stewart. She didn't deserve that oscar nomination. Her British ascent was so bad in spencer. And she was whispering throughout that film.
At least you’re sorry.
Kristen is incredible. And as a Brit. I can say. She nailed the accent.
Yeah, her ascent was so bad. 🙄
