most hated part of this episode, is the fact the FBI knew a random ID'd their witness protection asset, and LET the man go to a public prison knowing this.. technically, the FBI's on the fault here.
They probably blamed them for that too because if they hadn't brought the guy in he wouldn't have been identified.
It’s just a show so it don’t matter
@@XxOmegaslayerxX Really? I thought this was a real-life, real-time, live programming we're following.
And the FBI knew they were still investigating and if they told them the truth they wouldn't have to use the guy to ID'd him

This was crazy to see, both of them being outranked and stood down by higher law enforcement
Yeah. Those two really can't stand being ordered around by higher up cops. Especially not Elliot.
"outranked", "higher"?
"outranked", "higher"? What do you mean?
@@HelenKistler-hi5we FBI is Federal , and since the murdered father was in a Federal Witness protection program, those Federal cops had jurisdiction. The FBI are higher on the food chain than Elliot and Olivia.
should happen every episode with their cowboy tactics
This was a crazy episode. The son literally sold out his dad and still ended up getting wacked. Also, Pam Grier looked every bit of amazing
Just looking at this clip, I was pretty sure the son killed his dad and the US Marshall. I guess maybe he didn’t but he caused it?
@@RLucas3000 Gavin (the son) was in so much debt with underground gambling that Peter (his father) couldn't help him. Gavin told one of Sergei's lieutenants about his dad's location for the money, then paid his gambling debts. SVU arrested Sergei but then saw Gavin dead. Gavin was killed by one of Sergei's men. With both Peter and Gavin dead, Sergei walked.
@@job489 I think it’s time to call Dexter
@@job489actually one of the guys they questioned in prison was heavily hinting that Nikolai would also be dead as they don’t leave loose ends if someone snitches to them.
The Organized Crime mentions. Who woulda thought back then that Stabler would end up working those cases
Facts they practically told us where he would be 😭😭😭
This was my favorite episode from season 4 "Disappearing Acts"
I remember this episode it was good but the ending was crazy, i always thought the first 5 seasons were the best when the stories had real twists you didn't know where it was gonna go and the first seasons had my all time favorite squad liv, elliot, munch ( rip richard belzer) fin , cabott and cpt cragen
How’d it end? Trying to find it.
I'd like to know how it ended too

Special guest,, Pam Grier😊
Love Pam ❤❤❤
Looking the same age as Mariska but she 15 years older! So fine!
@cyw8281
Didn't know that. Mariska is tall like her father. Her mom died in a crash
Wow: they were very young. More than now, I mean. Liv in particular: she's almost unrecognizable, compared to now.
Ik I forgot her signature short hair
Well, she did have shorter, lighter hair back then.
She does not look unrecognizable
@@dymongodbey7597 I said "almost".
"almost unrecognizable" - seriously??? Cos even if u r trolling for attention, that says SO much more about u that it's practically a dictionary definition... 😂😂😂
Was definitely an insane episode this one! I was gobsmacked a heap
Peter McCallister and Jackie Brown? In my Law & Order?!
just remember the law is mostly on the side of the one with the more power
It's MONEY! Buckets of it.
Always
Tell that to all the DAs in Cali, etc who let criminals walk all over their victims.
Wow! We got the kid from "The Sandlot" and the father from "Home Alone."
Sad thing is, the father was nothing more than a degenerate gambler with a badge. Pretty much sums up his whole life.
And the heroine from Foxy Brown
Pam Grier aka Foxy Brown and Jackie Brown!! My first crush lol
I remember watching Pam Grier as a teenager in the 1970"s.
I did not know Pam Grier was old enough to have been on tv in the 70s! She must be a vampire then because she looks like she is all of 40 maybe.
one of the season 1 characters was on that board lol
I realize that obviously the events that take place in this show are fictional, but it’s pretty well known that with many of these kinds of police procedural shows the events that take place in the show are for the lack of the better term “inspired by” world events.
I will also say this. Now, well I myself was never in law-enforcement. I have family members that are and were. I was also a firefighter and EMT so I have worked with law enforcement pretty much ever since I was 12 years old. And I can tell you that any FBI I will also say this. Now, well I myself was never in law-enforcement. I have family members that are and were. I was also a firefighter and EMT so I have worked with law enforcement pretty much ever since I was 12 years old. And I can tell you for absolute certain that any FBI or any other law-enforcement agency would never treat other officers in that fashion. You also cannot hold an individual for 72 hours without allowing them their phone call.
I can also tell you for a fact that shows like this always get one major thing wrong. FBI agents and such do not have the authority or even the ability to arrest or even detain regular detectives without going through due process.
I remember the fire department that I worked for for some reason or another FBI personnel had to get involved. And our fire chief made it abundantly clear the day they showed up that no matter what they were not in charge. They were there to do their job and nothing more. They were not allowed to give orders to any of the other firefighters or EMTs or even police officers. Any thing that they needed was to be taken to either the commissioner or the fire chief. This has always been how it is. It doesn’t matter if it’s an FBI investigation. If it intersects with a local thing, then, unfortunately the local authorities take priority at least in the areas that I’ve grown up in.
"FBI agents and such do not have the authority or even the ability to arrest or even detain regular detectives without going through due process." - I have no idea where you got this incorrect idea. They are law enforcement and, like police officers, all they need is probably cause. The "example" that you included is completely unrelated to this. Your Fire Chief was talking about them interfering with your fire department duties ie telling you how to fight fires or how to treat injured victims not whether thy have the authority to detain or arrest anybody.
I remember this. Just did not understand at the time❤now I do
What didn't you understand at the time?
I quite remember this episode, Jesus look how YOUNG Liv and Elliot was.
I know that this is fiction, but jurisdiction squabbles happen all the time in the real world.
They don't actually care about justice.
RIP John Heard
6:47 Did Sergei kill some of those people multiple times? Several of the pictures are on that board more than once.
You may want to get out more 😂. Not saying you're incorrect, just that it might be time to step away from the screen for 5-10 ❤❤

They won't let us talk. I can't either❤they do shut me up.
So Amanda is either in prison or witness protection 🤔
Pam Grier ❤❤
They tried to butch Mariska up after season 1 but it didn't help. Her mother is Jayne Mansfield so not a huge shock that she looks like a model. She's 60 this year and still looks fantastic.
Olivia looks awesome with this hair style. Shame she didn't keep it permanently.
I'm not viewing L&O without Season & Episode to finish the episode.

Smalls from Sandlot

WHOOOOOOO..... DOGGY!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
The SVU detectives showed depraved indifference and no remorse to the death and harm they caused.
In real life they'd be in federal prison for obstruction, negligent manslaughter or murder 3rd degree.
And if you watched the episode you'll see they didn"t do it. The son did
