    Have the MPC X it’s not a bad machine love and will never sell it but if your using the vst instruments bounce it down to an audio track use the tools they gave you It will save you from hitting the brick wall

    I had an Mpc x and returned it because it was acting up with the firmware even after the latest update. I’m working with the Mpc 2000xl and love it for the punch for the drum sounds and the tightness of the midi. I kept my Akai Force mainly for the arranger and to use it as a midi controller. Great video.

    Although the sound is nothing to shout about the X has a great tactile feel and super work flow, those q links are superb for sample editing, great vid Bolo.

    I use the original. The lower specs havent hit me yet lol. I use the plugins and all, but i turn them into audio soon as im sure im rocking with the individual track sonically. If you gonna advance the track any further its gonna get turned into audio anyway lol. Even tuck the midi in if i really needed to go back. You could use audio loop tracks, but its only limited to like 8. Its a lot better if you just break parts of your audio down into pieces on a track for drums and loop that way.

    I would’ve liked to have purchase an MPC X SE, but I managed to pick up a like-new MPC X for only 930. It was a no-brainer. The price is too good and the differences can’t justify paying so much.

    Love your videos!!!
    You are the reason I got into MPC .
    I have an MPC X SP.
    I have an acquaintance that is selling an MPC X very cheap I love the colour way of the X.
    Is there any benefits of using two MPC together?
    Have you ever done it in your studio Setup or needed to do it or is it a bad idea? Is it better to buy different equipment.
    Thank you

    Great video Bolo I use the MPC live mk1 and my MPC one and I love both of them they get the job done I might get the live 2 eventually but the only difference is that the live 2 has CV gates and a speaker with it so I’m just gonna stick with what I have.

      its a digital standard. 99% of all the 'industry' music you ever heard went through 100's of thousands of bucks of analog gear. thinking any mpc can do it too is a pipe dream. these are the facts we must deal with, so a good healthy AD and DA converters going into the mpc and coming out the MPC can get you much closer to what your idea of good sonics music is like. it needs treatment on the ins and outs... on its own its weak AF.

    • @mikevenus4117
      @mikevenus4117 Рік тому

      Really song mode is good for the Mpc. I have a Akai Force and the arranger is basic at best. Your daw would probably be a better option to arrange your music overall.

    • @gassmaskwoodrow
      @gassmaskwoodrow Рік тому +1

      @@mikevenus4117 its not bad, but an arranger is much quicker. song mode is highly outdated in my opinion.

    • @mikevenus4117
      @mikevenus4117 Рік тому

      @@gassmaskwoodrow if you are tracking out of the Mpc to your daw, song mode is great because the daw give you far more control over the overall song(you can use 3rd party plugins to mix and master your song in the daw). The arranger is as basic as you can get to a linear layout of your song with only the air and akai effects to use. That’s very limiting. To edit your work is like working on a phone touchscreen, which is awful.

    So, I should be able to put an MPC X SE motherboard inside my regular MPC X and have 4GB of RAM and more internal storage in my regular MPC X. Right?
    The question is, if I sent my MPC X to Akai, would they be willing to do the conversion for me (for a fee, of course)?
    BTW, my X is bad. It randomly momentarily freezes from time to time. It's pissing me off too everytime it does that. However, I really like and enjoy using this machine. I just want it fixed and working properly. If Akai could do that for me, then why not just go ahead and upgrade it to SE internal specs while in the process (for a fee, of course)?

      I do agree that MPC has more punch but the workflow is just too clunky. I also got more into tracker workflow and it just clicked with my mind, so for me it’s Maschine and Trackers going forward.
