I am on day 6 of recovery. Tomorrow is the one week anniversary! I lifted legs 2 days ago and did arms(bicep/triceps) today in the gym. Felt good. No pain, just a little stiff. Mine is healing great. The only concern I have is it almost feels like he didn't remove enough. I can feel hard and squishy balls of who knows what in my chest. I struggle to be optimistic about it being swelling and just assume the worse. Oh and by the way your series has been incredible! Super helpful and motivated me to address my gynecomastia. Something that has tormented me for half my life. Just know you are helping out countless of people who struggle with gynecomastia. So thank you for documenting this all and shedding light on the solutions and process of getting help.

It's crazy how difficult it is for tiny bits of fat to heal. I learned that drains are not used with new techniques and my doctor said that it is cleaned with liposuction and a small incision.

I have done my surgery. It's been 9 days post gynecomastia surgery. I don't face any type of hematoma or fluid collection. Now I am facing little bit red discoloration on my left chest. Gosh.. i just had mine done and two weeks into it, it almost looks normal again. I stayed in the hospital for 3 nights and the drains got taken out only after 4 days. My doc told me to keep the compression vest on 24h for at least 4 weeks.. hope youre doing well. You video helped me a lot mentally although you were pretty unlucky! in the end, its all worth it! i had mine done 8 days ago, removed little skin for tightness, got reduced nipple, got it taken of and moved to new location, and removed gyno aaaand a liposuction and my chest havent even changed color, and no drains. Guess im lucky
I am currently on day 8, still wearing the compression vest, I take it off for about 15-30 min every 8hrs and still ice it every few hours or so. However, I have no swelling or bruising like yours. Some of us just heal better and quicker from what it seems like. My chest is pretty flat and so far I'm really stoked about my results.

It usually takes 2 weeks to feel ur chest.. swelling lasts for 10-15 days post surgery.. general recovery time is 3 months . Its depends on the surface area that's been treated

I should be able to take the drain out tomorrow. My right side is great. I hear a little fluid under my skin but my doctor said it's nothing alarming. I'm still swollen and bruised but I've been drinking pineapple juice and skin cream so it's going down too. My hardest part is the vest (I HATE IT!!!) and the itching. I cant wait until I'm at the 6th week.

I’m only 3 days in but my surgery went amazingly well. No pain at all. You can’t even tell they cut my nipples. I’m a little swollen but the compression wrap is really helping with the swelling. I feel like you had a bad op and surgeon. And your recovery wasn’t followed correctly.
My recovery has been incredible. Im on 48 hours after and only needed to use pain medication the first 24 hrs. Im off it now but taking my antibiotics as prescribed. Zero pain or discomfort when laying down besides the tightness of the compression vest. Perhaps its too soon and it will get worse/swollen? No signs of swelling that i can see really and very minor bruising

It took about 4 days until the swelling started to go down. Now its mostly gone and the results are noticeable but still my chest is bigger than i would like (Just on the side angles the front looks great). Im hoping that its just swelling. It hasnt even been 2 weeks yet and ive heard most of the swelling goes down by week 6 and can continue for months.

You can ask any surgeon and they will basically tell you dont expect any great results for at least 6 weeks. And even then some say wait upwards of 6 months. Apparently it can take that long for swelling to completly subside and for skin to pretty much retract and shrink...

I think I look pretty good, however my nipples still maintained the puffiness they had before the operation. I'm fine with that though because I now have a normal chest contour.
Be patient bro! That's all I can say. Stay in contact with your surgeon if you have any worries but I will say my swelling stayed consistent but the bruising got a whole lot worse looking because I had bleeding behind there in the cavities that were created after taking the gland out. This means that it looked a whole lot worst than it really was and that my recovery will be taking a couple of weeks longer than usual, as the blood starts to dissipate slowly, BUT the final result will be just as good as any other. Take it easy and good luck mate! Videos coming out soon covering all of that.
I’m getting this surgery done soon, apparently the surgeon leaves a very small amount of tissue directly underneath the nipple to stop the nipple indenting and dishing? Getting a bit nervous now ...
Went really well had it done two weeks ago. The shape looks good and the nipples look good aswell. The surgeon left a small amount of gland underneath each nipple to stop the nipple sinking back in. I’m healing well and back at work and driving again. Mentally I feel much better and any swelling should go down over the next few months. Overall I’m very happy so far, good luck for the operation 👍

I feel good about my body again and because it’s summer I can wear tighter t shirts. Before the surgery I’d wear bigger tops amd have a vest on underneath. I don’t need to do that anymore. I’m happy with myself now 👍

I had mine also done 3 days ago but mines are not bruised and only swollen a-little bit all the best for your recovery

how long was it before you could lift weights?
Today makes a week after my surgery and I’ve noticed my left side is swollen bad. So I had to get fluid removed “Seromas”
