*RAW & UNCUT* MY ADVICE TO ANYONE GETTING GYNECOMASTIA SURGERY!

  • Sup!
    My name is Jacob McDonald and I want to welcome you to my UA-cam channel.
    In this series of videos I take you through my gynecomastia surgery and post-surgery recovery journey.
    My story goes like this. I developed gyno through the onset of puberty at around 12 years old and dealt with the sh*t that came with it for 15 long years.
    That included various levels of bullying throughout my school years, never feeling comfortable without my shirt on and an extreme anxiety surrounding wearing anything that wasn't dark in colour because all I could ever focus on was my nipples.
    It wasn't until I started going to the gym regularly at around 18 years old that I decided to do some research and figure out exactly what this was, why I had it and what I could do about it.
    I eventually found out about gynecomastia surgery not long after that and due to my particular case not improving or changing at all since developing it at 12 years old I knew that if I wanted to fix this properly I would one day need to get this surgery.
    The surgery was always out of reach due to the price and I also began to just live with it and accept my body. However my love for bodybuilding and training in the gym grew over the next few years and at the age of 24 I competed in my first bodybuilding show.
    I can safely say that at this point I was living life without too much of a worry because I had learned to accept it which comes with age and maturity, but certainly still lived with the anxiety around wearing light coloured clothing etc.
    I reduced my body fat down to single digits for the first time in my life at this point and realised that I may have what people might describe as a "minor" case of gyno but in my mind, it was even more pronounced.
    I knew that if I wanted to get back on a bodybuilding stage one day that I would need to get the surgery done.
    I was eventually able to find a surgeon that offered a drastically reduced price due to the surgery being covered somewhat by Medicare which is Australia's version of government subsidised health care.
    I finally decided to book the surgery and in November of 2017 at 26 years of age I had the procedure done.
    My recovery was a rocky one. It tested me mentally like I had never been tested before and through that I decided to bring my experience to my UA-cam channel.
    That was one of the toughest things I've ever done but it did help me due to the support I received at the time and now has also gone on to help thousands of other men dealing with the same issues I faced.
    I faced depression, anxiety, regret, disbelief, and many more emotions throughout the recovery process but managed to stay strong and if there is one thing I can say with the upmost confidence as I sit here today, that would be that the surgery was still worth it.
    I want you to make the right decisions when it comes to choosing a surgeon, preparing your body prior to surgery and looking after it after surgery. Do what I say, not what I did.
    I've made a video playlist on my UA-cam channel titled "GYNECOMASTIA" for you to find easily.
    Thanks for watching my video and have a great day!

    I had this surgery 5 years ago. I had some bruising and swelling for awhile. Kind of made me worried, but around month 3-4 I could tell majority of the swelling was gone. After around 6-7 no swelling. I feel like after 1 year I was totally recovered and really felt so glad and relieved I had the surgery. Now looking back I am so much happier 5 years gyno free. Rarely ever think about it. Thank you for posting your gyno journey for the rest of us.

I followed the pre-surgery advice in this vid (100 pushups/d, 2 months from surgery) & it's had really good effects. 9 days after surgery, I feel good, have minimal chest pain & good mobility.

    Great video bruh, you pointed out some good do's and dont's. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in gyno surgery to spend the time and find a surgeon who you are completely comfortable with. Ask to see video or before and after photos of their work. I had gland removal with lipo 8 months ago in Austin, Texas. I was back to norm in less than 3 mnths without any signs of gyno or ever having surgery. No drains either. If you have gyno, stop waiting, save up and get it done. It's the best $ you will ever spend.

    I highly recommend the surgery. My surgeon did an amazing job. Absolutely amazing, as there was no scaring or abnormal shape left behind. I did work out years prior to my surgery in attempts to lose the chest fat naturally. I’ve always been thin but people suggested that I just carried fat in my chest. That was not the case. 6 months after my surgery I was proudly able to wear fitted shirts without feeling self conscious about my chest. It’s been 4 years since my surgery and I’m beyond satisfied. Highly recommend it guys!

    I was under general anesthesia and was out of the office within 4 or 5 hours. Home same day and I was def put out completely. So out of it when I woke up after it was removed. Best thing I ever did.. Not sure why I waited so long.. Biggest impact on my life out of anything I've ever done.. Soreness and all was nothing compared to the issues I Had with gyno.. Amazing how much of a positive impact this has had on my life.. Def agree with the advice on here saying to build the muscle and lose as much fat as possible prior to the gyno removal. It will help you a lot, trust me.. Make sure your surgeon has a solid approach to avoid cratering nipples and to contour the pecs / chest to get a nice masculine look. This is as important as actually removing the glands.. After surgery, take it easy and plan to do nothing for a few weeks, even if you feel like you can.. Get some hydrocortisone cream in case you're itchy like I was. Wear the compression shirt for a full month. I dont care what anyone else says, wear it and dont cut it short.. You'll be glad you did later.. Take the recover seriously and this will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself. Good luck guys!

      I used surgical bandages to wrap myself every morning in HS and wore a T-shirt and then a loose, open button down shirt over that. Never got a second look. I came up with this remedy myself.I got out of swim classes by bullshitting about inner ear inflammations and took golf and tennis instead. But going to the beach,Spring break or the waterpark with friends was impossible. I didnt have extreme gynecomastia, but enough tissue to elicit a rude comment now and then. It broke me psychologically and has poisoned my ability to have normal healthy sexual relationships, even after surgery. Get it done and get some counseling.

    I just did my surgery 9 days ago with a top plastics surgeon (he’s done over 100 gyno surgeries and showed me pics). I watched all Jacobs videos before surgery and I could relate to EVERYTHING he said. I’ve been working out for a few years (mostly body weight exercise and running) I got to a stage where the gyno was getting on my nerves (imagine having abs and man boobs at the same time I’m 180cm 71kgs). There was a hematoma that formed on my left side (2 days after surgery) and then the doctor drained it. It’s now a week since he drained it and there’s more swelling on that left side and it doesn’t look good whatsoever. From the way things are looking right now I’m not expecting it to look okay before 4/5 months. My advice would be get as muscular and lean as possible and take a look at your chest. If you decide on surgery then rest as much as you can the week or 2 after surgery and expect hematoma/seroma, scars or some serious swelling in the following weeks/months. Thank you so much Jacob for sharing this !! Btw I did the same mistake and travelled 3 days post surgery. Cheeeers bruvss

Results are not perfect but better than ever and it is not noticable anymore (:

    I had surgery two days ago and my experience wasn't really bad. I got local anesthesia and I woke up at one point during the procedure. It hurt just a bit but I was fine. I didn't really experience much pain when I went home, except when I moved around in my bed. Have to be sleeping on my back. Most pain I felt was in my hand where I got the iv drip. It's still sore and swollen. Tolerable though. I went back in the following day for a lymphatic massage. It only hurt when she ran the massager over my nipples and I've had no leakage so far, except for the blots on the dressing when the doctor removed it. My experience doesn't sound half as bad as yours but I guess each person will have a different one. I didn't even need the painkillers she prescribed.

    I just want to point out that I listened to your advice and went to the doctor to suck out the retained blood and water that was causing excessive edema. Thankfully, the doctor himself said that it is best that we do this instead of leaving it out and I got instant relief when he removed it, as all the pressure went away.

    Great video and gives a lot of perspective. I've done my surgery as well. For anyone worried, take his story as the WORST possible case. He literally did it in the back of a pharmacy. If you go to an actual plastic surgeon, you will literally look normal in 10 days, assuming you're lean to begin with. I recovered fully within 14 days. Cost me a grand total of $4,724 in 2022. No insurance. Included a check-up, scar gel and all the basic meds. Lean out and go to a real doctor, guys. It's generally more affordable than you think.

      Thanks for advice, I'm going for a consultation soon to a very trusted doctor. The only thing is I don't think I technically have Gyno per say, but still I'm lean af and have fat on my chest that look like moobs and I can't wear a lot of shirts as my chest is too large. Working out chest only makes it exasperated issue.

    • @CrimsonYetiCartoons
      @CrimsonYetiCartoons 2 роки тому +1

      @@coreykatz8111 Don't even hesitate brother. It may be an issue with testosterone/estrogen and your other hormones in the HPTA axis. Your doctor should bring this all up and request a blood serum test. If he doesn't, research it yourself and request a blood serum test with total testosterone, free testosterone, LH, FSH and estradiol at a minumum. You may request an endocrinologist if your general doc sucks, like mine did. I had to do all of this myself. If indeed there is no gyno and it's just fat, then it could be a liposuction job and that's it. But, gyno glands can cause fat accumulation in the nipple area because they are estrogen-prone glands, so removing them can stop that from happening. Read Estrogeneration by Anthony Jay for some things you can try naturally to remedy any potential estrogen excess. Godspeed.

    • @CrimsonYetiCartoons
      @CrimsonYetiCartoons Рік тому

      @@mann8283 Yep, plastics are god-awful hormone corrupters. Yes, any decent doc will get all the tissue out. Just lean out before your surgery so you have a cleaner slate and the tissue is more visible. The slimmer I got, the worse my gyno looked. So I was really very ready to get it done. The tissue itself is very distinct from the muscle and fat around it. A gyno gland literally looks like a tumor. Any doc could pluck it out. Just need a doc who has done it before and knows how to properly cauterize and stitch you up so it heals neatly.
