It was an amazing experience opening for EG. Hope to do again sometime. Great player and great guy!
Super talented player and performer, doesn’t get nearly enough recognition
I met Eric at an outdoor show at "Auditorium Shores" in Austin, just after his first album release. Been following him his whole career.
That was a pleasant taste of some great guitar play!
So cool he played the legendary riffs from 'Sign of the Storm', such an amazing tune from one of the best ever guitar players
🤘🏼🦅💫🎸🎶🎵🎶🌀🔥
Yeah older material for folks that checked in to his back catalog 👍🏽😎
This one was shot when Gales was in town (NYC) playing a couple of shows at the Blue Note with MonoNeon earlier this month.
Monster player/writer/singer!!!!
Bro, Sign of the Storm. Still such a great tune!
Yoweee! Just that first one is a burner! Thanks!
Im proud to be a lefty, aswell been playing upside down strats for 35 years, its just the coolest thing ever. Hendrix and eric made me do it. No other guitar comes close .
do you keep righty stringing tho? thats just crazy
@@billyghostal i did for 3 years then i took lessons and my teachers flipped them or he wouldn't teach me. Glad he did because i wouldn't of been able to play the yngwie, vai and satch stuff in the 80s.
That guitar is beautiful
Gales is a BEAST!!
Its crazy looking at his right hand...it looks so much different than almost any other player due to the strings upside down and all...patterns/chords...crazy. Albert King strung the same way of course but his style was soo much different you can still recognize it as guitar playing...Gales is great
I think it comes from gospel. Some of those guys can pick super fast.
George Benson, I think, does this, too.
FIRST TWO ALBUMS R SUPER DOPE!!!!
I am endlessly fascinated by left handed/high side up guitar and bass players. I wonder if there are advantages in the fretting hand especially.
Monster musician, got it all!
not surprised, he has always been the funkiest bluesman i ever heard! Badass!
Eric Gales band first album was super formative for me as a young guitarist at the time. I always felt like he should be more popular than he is.
My favorite riff of Eric's is in the song Too Late to Cry. And the middle part of the song
Love him ❤❤
And after all, it's not Hendrix, turn on your ears! Eric has his own signature sound and style!✌️😎😎😎
No bro it's not Hendrix that's for sure.
Greaat man!!!!!
A true artist. Original.
💫🤘🏼🎸🎵🎶🎵💪🌀🦅
this man is one of the very best... VERY BEST.
This is Jimi.
The closest thing to Hendrix in our lifetime. Not musically but creatively.
What the hell does that mean
Nope. !
Some of these riffs sound A LOT like Hendrix
Most underrated guitarist ever a real Genius not to mention a cool dude too
Is "Crown" about his teeth?
This guy absolutely smokes on guitar and you comment on his appearance? What an asinine comment.
He looks like a boxer if he was a dog.
Gates Is a incredible guitarist, Hendrix style, great 👍👍👍👍👍
