How to Hit a Long Fairway Wood Off the Ground | Golf Tips & Tricks

- The Masterclass of hitting a long Fairwaywood of the ground gets a lot of Golfers a headache. But why is that? Mostly it starts already in the Set Up - by turning too much onto the ball instead of staying centered.
Some others stay too far back on the Blackfoot or even fall back just before the impact position what also takes the low-point further back. It's always coming back to the Low Point of the club and thats what you always have to pay attention to.
I will show you two very common mistakes and how you can solve them. Also I show you how I approach my 3 wood and as Special, there is a slow motion as well for you guys!
So good luck trying things out!
Any questions? Just go ahead, I ll answer!
But now, have fun practicing!

You are so clear when you explain
Thanks a lot!
Thank you for this lesson Martina it is the most difficult club for me to understand and I rarely use it because everyone tells me it’s difficult to grow accustomed to. I would also love to see some advice on the hybrid clubs if you have time. Many thanks.
Will come, don't worry!
You are the best
That is very sweet! Thank you!
I needed this lesson. I struggle with fairway woods, and tend to avoid them. Thank you.
Well perfect! Good luck with the content!
My 3W is my most inconsistent club in my bag! Sometimes I hit a perfect fade but when I miss it, it’s always a toe shot!
I guess I need to hit more 3W shots at the range, and dedicate a range session to it!
Practise is always a good solution. Well it sounds like that club travels too much to the left, means you either turn too early to the left instead of shifting first or you are pulling your left arm short. Both are the most common things, in my opinion which get the ball towards the toe!
@@martina_eberl_coaching_en Thank you, I’m going to focus on those two things and see if I can correct it. About 60% of the time I hit it straight, but I miss it 40% of the time!
Thank you for the videos and lessons
You are welcome and there is much more to come!
Hi madam I just like to know when the Left lag should be straight after impact or before thanks very much. Regards. Rauf from Sydney Australia
G´Day to Ozz :). So nice to hear for you guys so far away! About the left leg. Well, it is a process during the follow through. First you shift onto the left leg, the weight goes from the front foot pushed back into the heel, while this the leg is straightening and the hip is still rotating. Please watch great players in slow motion. You will see! Hope I could help!
