It’s so wonderful to see a younger generation discovering the genius and beauty of Abba’s music! I’m 75 now and I’ve been a fan ever since Abba started in the early 1970s.
It's Agnetha singing the lead. She has high soprano voice. I think in this particular song verses outshine chorus (although harmonies are great as usual) as Agnetha's angelic voice soars to emotional heights. Hidden often overlooked gem by ABBA.

ABBAs songs are full of catchy and happy melodies; you get in such a good mood when you listen to ABBA. Their music pick you up when you are down or in a depression. Make you want to dance and celebrate being alive. The music is effortless, and yet so complex in all their different layers. In my opinion, Benny Andersson is one of the very best composers of our time. When you really and fully understand the text of ABBA songs, you will be amazed of the depth in the lyrics and the phenomenal insights in the challenges of being human. This ability allows us to easily identify with the lyrics. I do not know of any other group that can captivate me and enchant me like ABBA. Their music and lyrics are magical. Neither do I know of any other group that can evoke as many different and genuine emotions and feelings in me as ABBA do. This is a rare talent that ABBA have in abundance. I go as far as to say that this talent makes their music and lyrics a real healing on a very deep, unconscious level. So, in these very turbulent, chaotic and uncertain times, ABBA has a HUGE mission. Love from Lena
This is Agnetha on the lead, not Frida.. She only joins in the chorus, but its Agnetha on the verses. There's actually a video of them performing this song somewhere here in UA-cam, the ladies look gorgeous as usual.. If u want The ultimate Frida lead songs check out I Wonder (departure) and I let the music speak, Frida gave her all in those tracks
This is a song I discovered later in life. I have played this one on repeat for hours at work to get through the day. Plus it’s a great song to sing to my wife. Not that I can sing. I just mouth the words! I never knew ABBA had a Na Na Na song.
You're Abbasolutely right! I hope when they make "Mamma Mia 3" they use the song in a major way. I would also like to see a CD/LP release of "ABBA: The Music Of The "Mamma Mia" movies". I think that would be so cool!
this is such a beautiful song, so underrated and by the way Agnetha sings lead here ;) check out andante andante and I let the music speak to her Frida showing her amazingly beautiful voice too. And my love my life, that is one of Agnetha's most beautiful vocal performances of an Abba song
You're right - this is one of ABBA's very best songs. Yours is the first reaction video I've seen to it. It's so unfortunate that it's often overlooked. I only discovered it because of their video on UA-cam. It's one of the main reasons I ended up getting ABBA's boxed set on CD. And yes, as has been pointed out, Agnetha is singing the lead vocal. :)
Then you're you are going to go ballistic when you hear Abba sing 'move on.' A song to life and living for the moment. Abba, the greatest group ever to grace us with their incredible musical talent. Just subscribed.
This is absolutely my favorite ABBA song of all time. A very under-rated song. And unfortunately many people have probably never heard it before. And of course it is the beautiful Agnetha singing (but with total respect to Frida too!)
Oh! I really loved this song (togehter with a loads of other ABBA songs) Discovered ABBA when I was 5 years, and this was one of the songs. It just creates a lot of special feelings. This songs do things to you. I has seen all of the reactions, and I love re-feel the first listening. One of my Fav tracks are the a bit unheard of "People need Love" and edit "rock n roll band"
Surprised you guys didn't use a TV performance to know that Agnetha leads on this song. Hope you're not deliberately getting it wrong to trigger comments. The two ladies voices are very similar at a certain pitch when they create the famous 'third voice'. But usually and when singing alone they are quite easily distinguishable. This is one of my very favourite ABBA songs. Beautifully sung. It's also features one of the very occasional times that the ladies swap their usual vocal lines. Towards the end of the choruses, on the line 'And finally it seems my lonely days are through' Frida switches to the higher harmony line. Surprised ABBA didn't utilise this in more songs as both singing high made for an even more angelic sound.
@@toby9999 What I mean is use the TV appearance for the reaction. Though I do understand that sometimes they cant because of copyright. Besides, very few are genuine 'first' time listens. They know when to pause the music and talk.
@@michielrampaart9565 Here's them in Australia in 1977. 57 secs in. If you lock on to Agnetha's voice, you can hear Frida singing just above her on that line. This is one of my favorite songs by ABBA! It's one of their most underrated songs and should've been a hit! It's so beautiful and romantic, I'm not even in love but it makes me feel like I am. It's Agnetha on lead, maybe try to find videos of them performing the songs if they have no official video, that way you will know who sings! @@christianoazzuro6711 I just think the premise could have been a bit better.. at times it was so cheesy that I thought ABBA was having a fondue party ...in fact during the dinner party scene I was trying to see if that's what they were serving😂😂😂

The Cosby Show was no longer available anywhere I can understand not wanting him to gain profit off of it then cut his funds off but you know a lot of people like the show and it's not fair to the other actors who are in it who earn income from it same with Roseanne, because of what she did all the other actors were suffering and not seeing a paycheck or residuals, the one thing she did was allow her part to be bought out, and her specific reason for doing it was so all the others involved would not go without being paid ...there is two sides to every story though but we need to look at the project as a whole not just one individual person causing an incident regardless of the severity of the incident throw a disclaimer on or something but don't just forbid people from seeing things ever again that's almost the same as erasing it like it never happened
Although you both incorrectly thought it was Frida on the lead vocals, it shows that you are truly reacting to the song for the first time, without any preconceived notions about it. When I first listened to their music, back in the 70s & 80s, I also was unsure of who was singing the lead vocals. They are both THAT good!! As are your reactions!!!!😊 Please keep them coming!!!
One of my favourite songs from 45 years ago with lead vocals by Agnetha. They wete able to produce songs this good because they had a truck load of talent, something apparently in short supply of late. Still have the vinyl copy of this one somewhere.

I love you two. I have watched this post multiple times. This is one of my favourite ABBA songs. I saw them in 1977. It was magical. Agnetha is the lead. Sending love from Melbourne Australia.
This is one of my all time favourite Abba songs. Your facial expressions showed your liking - no your amazement and awe - of the song. It was recorded in 1974 and one can only marvel at the skill of the lyricist - then only in his 20s and writing in a foreign language - as well as the composition and of course the voices. This was just an album-filler! But it was a wonderful song. And a super smashing review. Lovely stuff people.
As others have said it's Agnetha leading this and you would love. My love my life, Agnetha is like an angel if you choose the original 1976 video. Awesome Abba reactions btw
Yes…you finally did it guys, 😊…Great reaction …I knew you’d love i this one. To see the joy and wonder all these ABBA songs are bringing to you both is just brilliant. 😊 So now you truly get why it is my favourite ABBA song of all time. As you said with faces of awe ….it’s just PERFECTION! 2 more you really have to to check out are Andante Andante and Slipping Through My Fingers. These are 2 more absolute gems not to be missed 😊
Btw this was released as a single in Australia... Got to number 23 (or thereabouts) in the charts. Even though ABBA were huge in Australia at the time, this was the 5th single from the album and by that stage every fan already had the album.
One of ABBA's best IMO. Wasn't played that much on the radio, I'm afraid. I've also always loved the part in the second verse, where Agnetha sings "I'm gonna make you mine", where she gets really close to the microphone, and then later "someday you will agree" where she really puts some power behind. Thank you for doing this.
Incredible song. I want to be with someone I adore so I can express those same feelings towards them. I was fortunate to have grown up in this era when there was so much amazing magical music.
More from "the Visitors" album please. "Head over heels" and "Slipping Through my Fingers" are great suggestions and "I let the music speak" is one of the most underrated songs of them ever. Totally different of everything they done
I love that you love one of my favourite songs of all time. I played this song to my now wife, when I proposed to her, flying over Melbourne, in a helicopter, in 1994. I saw Abba in 1977! Sending love from Australia.
Agnetha sings the lead of course, it's fun to watch the kids today react to these songs of our generation. We tended to take them for granted back in the 70s, because there was so much great music back then, compared to the garbage of today!
Pkease, react to "I let the music speak" (is a gem), "Put on yout white sombrero" and "I wonder". All with Frida in the lead. She is so underrated. Those songs (among others) are the prove of how amazing she was/is.
YES to all three songs and I'm again adding Should I Laugh Or Cry, I Have A Dream, Andante Andante and Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. 😍 In Like An Angel... you can hear only Frida, a ticking clock and some instruments, it's the only song where just one ABBA member is singing.
@@Lisa-M Of course we can add several songs with Frida leading. I only mentioned the first 3 that quickly came to mind and are underappreciated. Her voice is so magical and she was always the funniest and most expressive. Even on the live version of "Why did it have to be me" (the version without Agnetha) she shines in a fabulous way. I still feel that Frida is not given the place that she truly deserves.

Yes, this is unfortunately true, too. You can see it again in the new lyric video of Voulez-Vous. It's full of repeated scenes of Agnetha and only a few scenes with Frida. ☹
If you listen to ABBAs latest album 'Voyage', you will find that that there are many stiles and meanings and gives many generations of people something to like. That is true talent by these four friends whom I've followed since the 1960-ies as I'm in Bennys age. ABBA has never made me disappointed ever.
This song was part of the dawning of what became the 'Abba sound'. Classic Abba. Yet another album track that is of a 'single-release' standard
Fernando and I have a dream are really up there. 😉
This is a song I discovered later in life. I have played this one on repeat for hours at work to get through the day. Plus it’s a great song to sing to my wife. Not that I can sing. I just mouth the words! I never knew ABBA had a Na Na Na song.
That’s Agnetha singing! She sings high notes, Frida sing lower. This song should have been a hit!
You're Abbasolutely right! I hope when they make "Mamma Mia 3" they use the song in a major way. I would also like to see a CD/LP release of "ABBA: The Music Of The "Mamma Mia" movies". I think that would be so cool!
5:56"And finally it seems my lonenly days are through..."Agnetha on the lead with Frida second voice doing a marvelous falseto.Ok i just melt!
One of my favourite Abba songs, simply beautiful.
this is such a beautiful song, so underrated and by the way Agnetha sings lead here ;) check out andante andante and I let the music speak to her Frida showing her amazingly beautiful voice too.
Move on is an incredibly beautiful song.
It wouldn't be a genuine first impression reaction if they'd already watch a performance.
@@toby9999 What I mean is use the TV appearance for the reaction. Though I do understand that sometimes they cant because of copyright. Besides, very few are genuine 'first' time listens. They know when to pause the music and talk.
really? it sounds like that is just also Agneta in that higher harmony "and finally it seems my lonely days are through".....
@@michielrampaart9565 Here's them in Australia in 1977. 57 secs in. If you lock on to Agnetha's voice, you can hear Frida singing just above her on that line. Those ladies were a magical combination and were doing all sorts of vocal gymnastics in the background harmonies of many of the songs. ua-cam.com/video/JiFih8r7bbA/v-deo.html
I think they have very different voices, but in the beginning maybe it's hard to tell who's who...but the most important thing is that you loved it and your reaction made me so happy! If you want a Frida song, listen to I Let The Music Speak!
Great video, this is indeed one of ABBAs best songs.👏
Unbelievable that this is 48 years old.
An under rated lyrical master class. It was released in Australia as a single,
only reaching #49.
Yes, recorded in 1974 (along with most tracks on that LP from mars 1975).
Definitely Agnetha.... It shows her singing it during ABBA The Movie... It's actually one of my favorite parts of the movie!
Whole film is kind of a sacred doccumentary for fans and more.Shines out ABBA's power to the max!
@@christianoazzuro6711 I just think the premise could have been a bit better.. at times it was so cheesy that I thought ABBA was having a fondue party ...in fact during the dinner party scene I was trying to see if that's what they were serving😂😂😂
Abba the movie isn’t shown in Australia anymore because the actor who played the reporter was charged with paedophilia.
@@michaele7880 yeah I heard that he was involved in that kind of stuff, I'm not a fan of when certain items removed from public access just because someone involved with them was in some sort of trouble, it happened with Bill Cosby...
@@jay_ooh I agree. I’m so sick of this cancel culture. You can’t rewrite history.
47 years after... One ot the best vocal performance from Agnetha as lead ! Incrédible and unforgatable
Thanks to share this gems
48 years... it was recorded in 1974
@@escorpioomega2111 you re right the song was recorded in 1974, and Abba album 1975
Congratulations on your reactions! You have an excellent music taste.
ABBA 4-ever
Regards from Lima Peru
One of my favourite songs from 45 years ago with lead vocals by Agnetha. They wete able to produce songs this good because they had a truck load of talent, something apparently in short supply of late. Still have the vinyl copy of this one somewhere.
I always enjoy watching you reacting to Abba songs. 👍🏻 And it is always a nice surprise in the middle of the week to see, which song you have chosen.
Another outstanding ABBA song. Love your ABBA reactions!
That's Agnetha not Frida! Frida has lead on a great song called Tropical Loveland on the same album! It's an awesome showcase for her voice!
OMG.... I haven't heard this song for so many years, this is early ABBA and I think it's one of their best songs ever, thanks guys for for reviewing this as it has brought back so many memories of listening to their early Albums before they really hit the big time, their next album was "Arival and that's when their popularity really sky rocketed💥🚀
Thanks again, your reactions to this track was brilliant 🤗💞
Take Care, Stay Safe.
💖🇬🇧😷
In 1974 the lyricist Björn had 29 years, almost 30 (born in 1945)
I'm screaming Agnetha at the screen right now so loud LMAO hahaha
Lol me too
Love this song.
Definitely among their top 5. I just love when Frida comes in- perfection.
One of my favourite tracks from this album. Love your reactions.
The lead vocal is performed by Aggie actually :) But thank you very much for this reaction, you did it as great as always! :)
Great job! Can't wait for more ABBA hidden gems for you to discover. Love your reactions. Keep them coming!
Gorgeous record ♥
If you like this song for the vocals, you would love "My love, my life" - it's a killer
Agnetha lead singer here. Look for video on UA-cam. The ladies’ voices are distinctive. This should have been released as a UK single.
A-hem. A-hem. Andante, Andante. If you want to hear awesome Frida vocals.
Btw this was released as a single in Australia... Got to number 23 (or thereabouts) in the charts. Even though ABBA were huge in Australia at the time, this was the 5th single from the album and by that stage every fan already had the album.
Definitely one of their most underrated songs. Love your reaction. Of course this is actually Agnetha on lead. Too many more gems to choose next.
I agree this would be a good wedding song. It actually was my wedding song... really under rated.
Amanda Seyfried did her own version of this song in the Mamma mia sequel, very emotional scene
There's a real beautiful video version of this one of Agnetha singing live if you can find it
Women's voices together is the best in anyway. Anni-Frid voice is beautiful too here.
One of my ABBA-favorites. This should have been included in ABBA-GOLD
More from "the Visitors" album please. "Head over heels" and "Slipping Through my Fingers" are great suggestions and "I let the music speak" is one of the most underrated songs of them ever. Totally different of everything they done
you two are so sweet in the car listening to this lovely song
I love that you love one of my favourite songs of all time. I played this song to my now wife, when I proposed to her, flying over Melbourne, in a helicopter, in 1994. I saw Abba in 1977! Sending love from Australia.
Agnetha sings the lead of course, it's fun to watch the kids today react to these songs of our generation. We tended to take them for granted back in the 70s, because there was so much great music back then, compared to the garbage of today!
Also many did not take ABBA for granted but simply ADORED them even then they were so special!
That is so true, ABBA was and is one of my most favorite groups.
Lovely reactions to this fantastic song.
If you live this song you’ll love ‘my love my life’ from the ‘arrival album’. I’m sure the lead on this song on this video is Agnetha.
@@iatinom22 Haha, yes, that's true. I hope we can see all of those songs soon as reactions from Tyler and Marissa. 😃 The live version of Why Did It Have To Be Me is so cool, for me it's better than the studio version.
By the way, on this 'Ill be waiting for you' is Agnetha singing lead .
Just nice to see you young people enjoying the beautiful music of ABBA. Yes, I also enjoyed listening to this song back then, when I was about the same age as you are today. It's just so beautiful. It gives you goosebumps when you listen to it - doesn't it? Thank you for the lovely video here. All the best for your future. I would love to see more videos from you here on UA-cam about ABBA.
My favorite.
Love your ABBA content man! X
One of my fav old ABBA songs.
Watch the video of this where the video screens are in the background of them signing, it isn't great quality but it is super cute with Frida like a big Sister secretly urging Agnetha to hit every note
You two definitely need to listen to My love, My life. Agnetha's voice is amazingly beautiful!
Yes! “My Love, My Life” is sublime! Vote up! 👍
