Nice teaser... so I bought the DVD lesson... one of the best presented video formats I've used:: One 12 bar solo at a time, with a fast version, a slow version, note by note walk through w fingering, the tab and a backing track for each of the 20+ lessons, which made for quick learning of a guitar style I've admired for years. Very helpful way to expand fretboard skills beyond the pentatonic box position and worth considerably more than the small cost. such a nice job, Damian.... Congrats and thank you
Setzer is a monster player... he is a master improviser who absorbed so much great music that is all comes out of his playing naturally. We can only dream to do what he does!
Wonderful! I've always wondered how the heck Setzer plays some of his solos, and it's a real thrill to actually see how it's done. And your positive energy is such a plus for anyone who's tryna learn rockabilly guitar, or ANY kind of guitar-- thank you!!
Yet another awesome lesson Damian. It was my love of Brian Setzer that got me following you and your videos years ago so its nice to see this great tribute you've put together here. Great job.
Damian, You have an uncanny ability to morph right into what you're doing without adding additional material. I've seen a ton of players play rockabilly cuts but they always impart some of their main style or at least throw in a trademark bend or pulloff and kill the moment. Your playing is so clean both picking wise and from added stuff. Your tone is also spot on for what you're demonstrating. Great video!
just want to say Damian, i been playing for 25 years, mostly rock, metal, blues influenced...your vids helped me grow into the rockabilly jazz style which i have always loved....thank you! i always enjoy picking up the guitar to learn more...you rock man!! you ever in southern california let me know!!!
Thanks Damian, The way you put the lesson together is just perfect. It makes sense and the slow down video and tab helps tremendously. Rockabilly is a love of mine, and Im just starting to learn it. I hope to reach your level someday.
Just a small suggestion. It would be helpful to have a tiny bit of theory behind these licks. Like, Aminor blues scale - Bepop scale etc. And chords behind the licks. Thanks for your efforts, these are great.
@@profd65 No need to react like this. gnpd07 makes a good point.. It's not about just copying licks from Brian Setzer but also understanding what he does
@@hammettfcb 3 years from the original comment and I almost posted the exact same thing. Damian is also using this to sell his lessons, so if some theory was offered as part of his paid lessons I might be enticed to buy one. If he is just sharing tabs, there isn't much point.
Hi Damian I commented awhile ago wandering if you knew about any cheap archtops, well I searched and found a silver tone archtop for a hundred bucks I bought it instantly and now I'm on a road to swing, thanks for these lessons
I love your lessons Damien - great info, always clearly presented - and fantastic, POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!! Thank you for all of that - and may your 2019 ROCK!!!
I agree Brian Setzer is a monster on guitar and one of my favorites. arguably one of the best to play. I dig the lessons keep them coming. also dig the the gutair, Brian Seltzer Hot Rod?
Fantastic as always - I've been playing Classic Rock/Blues Rock for years and am trying to get my head around this stuff now. Your vids are a huge help, thanks for them! (Do I win your DVD? lol)
Nice place, 23trd of september the rolling stones will play at LUCCA right outside the medieval walls and it's near S. Giuliano terme about 50 km. That area is full of History and great places to visit and obviously great food and great wines. I live in Milan (the fashion city). Como lake is not far away 40 min. by car (where George Clooney bought an ancient luxury villa)
One question... who are the three morons that gave this a thumbs down.....??? Thanks for the videos man! I also have your DVD and have learned a lot from you - I recommend it to anyone else.

That's a 6120 Brian Setzer model whose finish has shifted very red as opposed to the typical orange.
Glad you're enjoying the lessons. The guitar is a Brian Setzer Nashville G6120SSU :)

Are you the same person from you earlier videos cuz you talk and act different ?
You’re an excellent player a good teacher but please! Less clowning and self promotion.
Shut the fuck up. Watch somebody else's videos if you don't like this.
