LETS GO BRANDON!!!!
Good stuff. Don't forget 550 cord or bank line. Also Gorilla Tape, Bic lighters, fire starters including manufactured fatwood, Mountain House meals, and so much more. I would go with a regular tarp versus that 5x7 for the money but my local store has the thicker tarps with mylar side as well. So many options.
Glad to see someone being realistic about gear and not having to break the bank. Great job.
Couldn’t agree more with you on these items and values. Been using all of these items for years. Been a Scout leader for over 20 years and 99% of my gear comes from Walmart. Thought about making a similar video on this very subject. I still might for my viewers. Great job ! 👍🏻👍🏻
Disagreement over the knife, that knife is a pos. Strongly agree with the Stanley cup set, I have the same kit with gas and stove inside every pack I own.
There are a lot of Walmart haters out there. I say, thier loss. More for me. Lol.
Great video. You forgot to mention that the Stanley Cook Pot's lid also fits the field cup/mug. I don't buy the dehydrated foods, too expensive, but I do buy the chicken/tuna pouches and the Knorr sides to make my own meals. Thanks for sharing.
When the apocalypse comes I'm just moving into Walmart.
My kids like your Video. They now want to try to build their own bag. We appreciate your input. Budget Backpacking
U make so many great points Im ex mountain infantry ssg and I've had people make fun of me for using Walmart gear then we go hiking and I smoke them lol it's not the gear it's the man haha
I have had 5 of those lanterns for over 25 yrs. Just before we had the huge ice storm in Texas I got them out. Cleaned them up and replaced a couple of wicks. I bought fresh lantern oil. I used all of the lanterns during the 7 day power failure. It was such a comfort to have one in each room.
DAMN !!!! finally someone aint "trashing" Walmart 👍👍👍👍
The things I bought in the camping section at Walmart seem to be of good value and quality!
THANKYOU THE EXCELLENT EFFORT TO PREPARE US ECONOMICALLY
Sometimes you can get the same gear cheaper in other departments. I o9nce bought a saw that was 5.00 cheaper in garden department.
I bought the lantern you showed and had a chance to field-test it yesterday. I have much more expensive lanterns as well, but functionally I can’t see any difference. It works great.
I also have been using the various UCO products and Stanley Cook Kit for years now. great stuff and very durable!
the red cup is also awesome as a travel water bowl for Rover
another good item are "Dude Wipes" Find them in the toilet paper aisle. Designed for men, unscented. (Just regular wipes, though). Come in a pack or a box of individual packs, like Wet Ones. I have used these to wash with, or to travel. I keep some on me at all times in the little packs. Went into a Walmart bathroom and didn't realize no toilet paper. Used a couple of the packs that I kept in my edc pocket kit. These are amazing.
I have several pieces shown in this video and use it with gear from 35+ years of camping in my younger years. Thanks for sharing..
