Original Comment was in 2022. But, I Hit the Wrong Key and Deleted it. WELL DONE JOB. This is a GREAT Video. The one Thing you Missed was the Spring Clip on the Other End of the Rod to Keep the Last Blind on the End.
It is wonderful to find this video of the exact product that I have, and the clear instructions to fix it!! I went straight to your web sight and bought the part. Great content with professionalism.
Huge help! My wand is now working again, thank you!
Easy to do, but I probably wouldn't have been able to without the video. Thank you.
Thank you. I found it real easy to follow your direction.
thank you so much for the video , couldn't even get any help from levolor , i bought my replacement part from your company
This was great. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Thank you. Saved me tons of time fixing mine.
This was super helpful. Thank you!!
Thanks for the video. It worked very well for me.👍
Nice. Found the part I needed on your website! It was buried in the description. Otherwise would've had no idea where to buy this thing. Thanks so much for posting a video about it. I just needed to know of a vendor.
Thanks so much for this video, it was exactly what I was looking for.
Perfect. Thank you!
Thanks for the video ! It was a big help!
Thank you. One clip that just happens to be to close to the window post always gets caught. This time it actually won't turn back straight. Your video saved me a huge headache. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this vey helpful Visio. What a great service you are providing. I purchased the part from your site and now I am confident I can do the repair!!
THANK YOU!!!!
Great video, thanks. Only trouble I had was getting the spacer strap into to the replacement part.
Great video
Thank you. 👍🏽
thank you.
Last week we bought the part from Fix My Blinds and the installation was just as easy as explained in this video. I even took a chance trying it with it still attached to the wall and I was done in I'd say 30 minutes, in no particular rush......
Just bought two more controllers today, thank you.
I hate blinds! But you did an excellent RnR for the issue we are experiencing! 🙏 ➰
Good man!
A video on the initial setup of the trim and go blinds would be great, figured it out from the above video tho thanks
Thanks for the video idea! Glad to hear that you got your new blinds figured out.
Nvm I see the link. Very helpful video!!
Great
wow it helped
Great Helpful Video! Could Levolor have made that part any cheaper or more vulnerable? When I installed the vertical blinds I just knew this part was doomed to failure. BIG THANKS!
Where did you get the control mechanism?
Very good video ! I'm uncertain if I can remove/reinstall the bar from the window by myself without another person ?
Taking down a vertical blind by yourself can be difficult because it is typically at least six feet wide. Probably a good idea to ask a friend to help!
Great video! I am unsure of the brand of my blinds. Is the part that part that you posted a link to specifically for Levolor, or is there a possibility it will work with other blinds?
Hi Eric, the part in this video is for Levolor blinds. But, if your blinds don't have a brand shown on them, they could still be Levolor. If you're not sure which replacement part you need, feel free to email us some pictures of the part you need. Our email is service@fixmyblinds.com.
This was helpful. Can you explain what the Vertical Blind Magnet Catch is for? It attaches itself to the Wand Control Mechanism and moves back and forth with it. But what does it do? Thanks!
Hi Monty, The magnet catch is to keep the blinds closed when they are fully covering the window. The tilt mechanism catches onto the magnet to keep the blinds in place.
Hi, Brian . I like your professionalism and way you fishing blinds . I have problem with mine , is it possible if i send u a video or picture of my problem and if u can, just gave me an advise if fixable. Thanks,
Hi Olga! Yes, you can email us at service@fixmyblinds.com. We are happy to take a look at your pictures and see what we can do to help!
What is the magnetic catch that slides along with the wand mechanism that stops half way when opening the blinds? What is its function and why does it stop half way (hits a small stopper screw mid-way)?
Hi there, the magnet catch keeps the blinds closed when the slats are totally covering the window. The tilt mechanism has a small metal plate on it and catches onto the magnet. It isn't designed to move back and forth. It stays on the end so that when the tilt mechanism can catch it. It was just moving around a bit during the video as we repaired the blind.
Just like in your video, my tilt/wand mechanism is extremely close to the first stem which happened to just break. Now I am unable to clip in the new stem because of how close the two are. Any suggestion on how to replace broken stem without taking the whole track down?
Hi there, if you could email us a few pictures of your blinds where you need to snap in the new stem, we can give you some specific advice. Our email is service@fixmyblinds.com.
Thanks for the great video. Just installed the Trim + Go vertical blind and found that one of the vertical rotating clip is not moving. There are a couple of clips moving at a different direction than the rest. Could you please make a video how to fix these issues? Thanks in advance.
If that is a brand new blind, I'd return it to the store. It sounds like it's defective as there is no way to realign the clips.
@@fixmyblinds Thank you for your reply. It turns out that Levolor has a unique way of adjusting carrier orientation and I found it in their FAQs, with minor adjustment from their instructions. Here is the full excerpt from their site to share with the community:" Begin by positioning the mis-aligned vane(s) in the fully open position. Next, remove the misaligned vane from its clip, by gently pressing upwards and outwards until the vane releases from the clip. With a pair of pliers, grab the clip that previously held the vane and push it gently upwards until it snaps back into the headrail. Spin the wand until all vanes are in the fully opened position. Once that has occurred, grab your pliers and gently pull down on the clip so that the missing vane can be reattached to its clip." EXCEPTION: in my case for Trim + Go, I have to rotate the clip until the body is aligned with its holder, then using the pliers, push the pin upward. It will retract to the headrail. Then rotate the entire blind until all carriers are flat, then pull down the mis-aligned clip. After that, all will be aligned with each other.
Wow; those are great instructions! Thank you for sharing that information you found!
@@fixmyblinds Glad to help! and again thanks for making the original video.
hi BRIAN I broke some clips that snap in my square hole son top of vertical blinds..i found xtra clips but how in the heck do you remove or insert the plastic thin flat pieces..one has tabs on end like mushroom head and wont go into
next new carrier pulley
Hi Gail, I'm not sure which clips you mean. Would you please send some pictures of the parts you're trying to replace to our email? I'd love to give you any directions we may have. Our email is service@fixmyblinds.com.
this video looks helpful, how we order these parts ?Home Depot? how to describe it while searching?
You can order parts on our website at www.fixmyblinds.com.
Question for you: I have vertical blinds and the thing that slides the blinds to the left and right is broken. I can slide them to the right so the blinds are collapsed but I can’t slide them back because the wand isn’t connected to the wand/title control. Do you have a video how to fix this?
Hi Jim, There could be a couple of different things broken on your verticals. Would you please email us some pictures of your broken blind and where the wand isn't connected any longer? Based on those pictures, we can let you know what is going on and if it can be repaired. Our email address is service@fixmyblinds.com.
@@fixmyblinds I emailed it to you.
Is there a way to switch the orientation.
I bought colored louvers.
But the way it's set up when it's all the way open you just see the back side which is white.
The only thing I can find is that the recommend a left to right opening.
I have a right to left opening.
Hi there; some blinds can be changed just by turning the headrail around and putting the control end of the headrail on your preferred side. But, not all work like that. If you'd like to see if you can do that, please email us a few pictures of your blinds. Our email is service@fixmyblinds.com.
😢The problem with these wand controllers is how close they are to the 1st blind getting caught up into it and doesn’t hang correctly thus breaking it…Why does the first blind holder have to be attached to the wand controller?
Hi there, If the first blind holder (carrier) wasn't attached to the wand controller, you wouldn't be able to use the wand to draw the blinds back across the window once they are opened.
Hi, My blind is not opening or closing, I have wand, I am not sure which piece I need to order. Also from where I can get this mechanism to replace it?
Are the slats on your blinds not tilting opened and closed? If so, the tilt mechanism needs to be replaced. But, there are many different types of tilt mechanisms out there. Does your blind look just like the one in the video? Please email us some pictures of the tilt control in your blinds. We can let you know if we have the piece you need. Our email is service@fixmyblinds.com.

How do you remove the rail from the window
Hi Linda, This video and guide will show the basic steps for taking down a vertical blind: fixmyblinds.com/pages/how-to-remove-and-replace-a-vertical-blind.
Does anyone know where to find the replacement part
Hi Daniel, we sell the replacement parts in this video here: bit.ly/3tdVMrJ
Unfortunately I'm looking for a video specific to Levolor for replacing broken hanger-clips. I can't seem to figure out how to release the broken clip from its "car". All the videos I see that purport to show this are for other blind makers and the mechanical design is different from Levolor.
There's no way to remove the clip from the carrier it is attached to. Unfortunately, some blinds are made this way. You may be able to replace the whole carrier, but not just the clip. They only way I know to get parts is to purchase a new headrail at Lowes and use the parts it comes with.
@@fixmyblindsdo you have a video on how to replace several of the whole carriers? That's what I need to do as well as the wand control mechanism.
Why is the mechanism so close to the first blind slat? Won’t it hit when u try to close them?
Hi there; that's just the way that Levolor makes this particular headrail. Some verticals have the first slat attached very closely to the tilt mechanism. The wand may hit the slats when opening and closing the blinds.
I am not sure it is wand control mechanism?
Kinda defeats the purpose if I have to take it off I might as well just buy a new one.
Well Mr. Big bucks, go spend $100 on new one, I'm sure the company won't mind. The rest of us will spend $10.99 on a part. 😊
@@steveneal174 I already did, my time is worth more than that.
