Thank you so much for the comprehensive videos and creating such a well built machine. After watching 'Diva' many years ago I have always wanted a wave machine, and now I have the information to build one. Much appreciated.
I really really appreciate your tutorial on this. I love the movie Diva and loved the scene with this wave machine. Thanks to you I can now start on building my own ❤
This is just a thought, I haven't built one of these (yet), but to reduce much of the friction between the wheel cam and vessel a small connecting rod, similar to an engine rod, could be made to attach to the wheel/cam and then to a pin attached to the bottom of the vessel, like a wrist pin. The connecting rod where it attatches to the wheel could made to adjust in or out from the edge of the wheel to adjust how much stroke or lift it has on the vessel. It would probably need to be a round wheel attatched to the motor instead of a cam profile because you'd have your lifting action performed by the connecting rod. You wouldn't even need a round wheel, just a thin strip of wood to attatch the connecting rod to.
