- listened to my original mix on a different pair of headphones and thought it could use a redo.
Here are some changes I made:
-Removed weird panning effect of the guitar
-used a different John vocal for some parts
-lowered the treble
Hope you enjoy!

For this boomer, getting treats like this, sixty years later, almost brings me to tears.
Me as well. I’m 63 though)
I sang this acapella once for an audition. The song lends itself well to no accompaniment.
60's flower child here - yes!
Good times
Why? John can’t sing at all
Just John and his guitar, it's actually much better than I expected. Goes to show that 'Nowhere Man' remains a great song through and through.
A lot of their demos are like this and still very good without all the production
Too bad it only made it to no3 on the chart's 1966.
That's really cool. Is there a fav demo collection of theirs you recommend?@@blap9467
And what a rhythm player.
Of course it’s a great song. Look who wrote it.
John's voice is one of the main things that made the Beatles sound unique. Especially in the early period.
It's funny to me that he never liked his voice. We loved it!
So much character in John’s voice. Glad we lived in the same time as The Beatles
Me too.
Do we all realize how lucky we are to be hearing these tracks in 2024? We are so spoiled; we simply press play…and there they are, come to life!
We’ve objectified everything
I'm just thrilled that new generations are still seeing how brilliant they are, both as The Beatles and individually.
John always had a beautiful voice, sometimes deep and raspy, sometimes sweet and smooth
And sometimes flat and tone deaf
@@ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ecNo that would be you, but with an added "imbecile" to flesh you out completely.
@@ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ecGo clean your ears !!!
@@ExcitedAnacondaSnake-hg8ec Not even close to either of those things.

The voice of a generation
One of the deepest song in the Beatles catalog. He sings with pain from the heart.
What a great singer John was.
YES AND FOREVER💔🕊️🕊️
His voice actually sounds like an everyday voice and at the same time absolutely unique. No one ever sounded or ever will sound like John again.
Nice work. It is like hearing John do a demo for this song. Just John's voice and acoustic guitar drives the song along quite nicely.
Pretty sure he’s playing electric guitar
@@paulcharlo9346it Sounds like an acoustic Guitar 100%
@@paulcharlo9346 He's playing a Gibson J160e which is an electro-acoustic. i.e. an acoustic with a pickup.
This is probably what it would've sounded like if John was performing solo with just his guitar. Well done.
Well I mean it is literally him and his guitar so there is no 'probably' about it. It is literally him and a guitar
@@NellyGandhella I said "performing solo," as in a concert.
It sounds like a demo version, much like Strawberry Fields Forever from Anthology 2. It’s very magical listening to these songs this way.
After all the larking about and pulling funny faces, when John got down to business he could really deliver the goods. Because he sometimes had a rather casual, even dismissive, attitude towards his own talent and towards The Beatles' collective talent, people can sometimes forget that he was one of the great originals of the 20th Century.
This sings to me. I'm a nowhere man.
The only ones who forget are the fans so far up McCartney’s corny, cheesy, schmaltzy ass that they can’t even think straight.
Spot on. You see that in the Get Back film. They all seem so normal and casual...and then they play...and you're hearing some of the greatest artists of all time. Talent, soul and timing.
Well said, my man!
@@clearlyanartistanimations6915now here?
What is better than a solo artist and single instrument to control the soul of a song?
This song has it. Well done by John.
So lucky to be alive during the magic of the Beatles !
He said he wrote this song out of frustration from having temporary writers block. He'd been trying all day to write a song but was getting nowhere, and that in turn inspired the song.
This song is the reason why John was such a great songwriter. As a kid in the 80s I loved it, as an adult now you realise how deep it is and how it works on so many levels. He seemed to be able to write simple songs that appealed to so many.
Cool 😎
It’s like John at home before he brought the song to the studio.
Who else sang George’s solo in their head, complete with harmonic?
I have always thought it was only George playing the solo. Several books about the Beatles recordings say that it was performed in unison by Harrison and Lennon. The pair played identical "sonic blue"-coloured Fender Stratocasters on the track. The harmonic was George alone.
@@danielfisch389 That’s an interesting piece of information, also quoted in Andy Babuiuk’s book, Beatles gear. George is supposed to have said that too, but I don’t know why they would have done that when George had the 12 string Rickenbacker. If I was putting money on it I’ say it was the 12 string. But there you go.
In the new mix of The Red album you got the answer.
What do you think. I definitely hear a classic Rickenbacker chimey guitar in the track?
Oh my! All these years I thought it was Paul doing the harmony at the end.
As much as paul had a good singing voice ,it was johns voice who made the Beatles sound like the Beatles
They made these years a little easier to live though, thanks Winston.
It's so fun to sing along harmony parts on this
*It gives me goosebumps. John came back to relay his message, AGAIN.*
Brings tears to my eyes...
This is like being in a room with John.
When I was a child, in 1970s London UK, this and "Ticket to Ride" were my favorite songs
I think it was ticket to ryde, Isle of Wight
I really love john's sweet voice ❤
This is what made the Beatles the Beatles. John has a very unique but normal voice. They didn’t sound like pro singers, but it was a unique Beatles sound.
They sound like pro singers to me, meaning professional?
Maybe you’ve never heard John sing Mr. Moonlight ?
The Beatles were great singers, very professional.
It's hard to listen to this edit and think that Lennon didn't write this song with a personal background, I don't care what any article or Lennon himself says in person.
This "version" sounds like a sad, lonely man with his guitar, singing about sadness and the feeling that nothing really makes sense in lines like "Making all his nowhere plans for nobody" while at the same time he gives himself words of encouragement and tries to cheer up with lines like "You don't know what you're missing/Nowhere man/The world is at your command".
It's moving to think about it this way and I really thank this edit for giving me this new perspective and loving this song even more than I already do.
After nearly SIXTY years! My favourite ever Beatles song! Like catching up to a long lost friend, and appreciating them more than ever.
The Kinks Ray Davies also wrote this type of songs and did so very well.
Nowhere near as good as the fab four though.
@@harold3165 nahhh man, you can’t compare Lennon/McCartney and Davies, two different styles. Ray did write a lot of insightful, intelligent and entertaining songs and he didn’t have help or a partner. He was and is a genius
Davies is sorely underlooked as a songwriter
@@thomasriley5830It's easy for me to love them both. ❤
@@harold3165In some instances even better! L and M, Dylan, Ray Davies, Bowie, Jagger/Richard, Townshend, Stevie Wonder, Smokey, Joni, Neil, Carol King... To me that's the royal songwriting family.. Sure I left off a few. But wrong to say Davies is not as good, not for me at least.
Love John's vocals. John's songs for Rubber Soul, Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man, Girl, In My Life were incredible
I love you John❤
It’s almost too much, hearing that voice so clear so young.
Love you John always 🙏 May God bless you. Thank you for the joy the Beatles brought to my life.
Beautiful song and a thing of beauty is a joy forever ♾️
GREAT to hear the song like this. What a remarkable talent John was (is).
Was. He's dead now
Excellent! John‘s voice was so different. I always wondered exactly how he developed it and “found“ it. Really haven’t heard anyone else with a voice similar to it.

最高です。
Ohhhhhhh Johnny. I miss you so much.
😢
This is beautiful. One man, one guitar.
that voice, only in his twenties, but with the wisdom of a full life lived.
Pure pure John!🎶🙏Absolutely brilliant.👏 👌👍
Great stuff!
Thanks, You aswell!
More Accoustic and unplugged sounding Beatles please. Yall both are amazing
Just another song he knocked out. Required several hours. Lennon wrote hundreds of these - all brilliant. A genius makes it look easy.
What a joy to sing the harmony with this! ❤
This is beautiful!
Fantastic, amazing, beautiful!!!
Haunting. Beautiful.
Unbelievably good, please more! 😀
This is one of the best gifts of the year, thanks a lot!
That guy could freaking sing...and WRITE
master piece, man. wonderful job! sounds like the first time I'm listening to this great song. thanks a lot!
That was very cool. Thanks for posting this.
Just excellent!
Awesome job! I don't think we're going to want to hear it any other way now!
This is a lot of help for covering this song, thank you!
Just perfect !!
Please do early Beatles stuff like this like P.S. I love you, She loves you, This boy, etc. It'll be magical to listen to those songs this way. It's like hearing them for the first time again cause I definitely enjoyed this one.
What an interesting channel, just found it. I love it.
This is why John will always be my favorite beatle.
Absolutely beautiful singing
A gem.
What a voice!
I've been loving you since 1964 ❤❤❤
Beautiful ❤
That's all i need: John singing and playing the guitar.
Thanks!
Beautiful man, beautiful voice ❤
Omg, this is gorgeous. I could just weep.
Dear John.
What a treat to hear John's fabulous voice doing one of their very best songs. Chills abound.❤❤❤. So sorely missed.😢😢❤❤
Pure like a bell that vocal vibrato is amazing
The man was gifted ❤️
Amazing job bro, John's voice is so relaxing. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
His voice.... Thanks for this
🎩🗽💓RIP John & thank you so much for it all🙏
Top shelf, uncanny, bewildering, delicate, yet bold.
Beautiful, God bless the multiple vibrations/particles that constitute being. Music is a powerful way of feeling unity with the cosmos of existence.❤❤❤❤
Inspirational! I started my first band because of the Beatles and many other greats. I miss what might have been 🎶🎶🎶❤️
One of his finest songs. Great to hear it pared back. Then, hear the finished work, with the beautiful guitar work and McCartney’s exquisite harmonies. So lucky to have grown up with their music. Timeless.
Very unique voice, which makes it good.
Perfection!!!!
Heavenly perfection
Eye opener for sure
One of john's best
What a great voice&guitar John was!❤♪♪🌈
Love this! 🤘🏾
Beautiful
Thank you John.👍🙂
I don’t consider myself the biggest beatle fan but something I loved about this guy. He was real.
Not perfect I can’t really describe it.
emotional. greatest song of all time.
What a great genious John was. Even this demo version, with only guitarr and song is good enough for a record.
It's not a demo version. John's voice and guitar have been isolated from the others. The name of the channel gives you a clue.
John’s rhythm guitar playing is always so interesting and tasteful.
The Beatles in my life.❤
Wonderful!!!!!
Excellent!
Thanks very much for posting this.
I always wondered about John's rhythm guitar, because it seemed to have a distinctive sonic signature, and now I can hear it is a Spanish (nylon string). Capo at the 2nd. fret, I am sure.
I feel like he’s singing just to me. ❤️
Es como sí fuera algo Irreal estar Escuchando en 2024 a The Beatles y todo en tús Manos.
I never knew this was capo 2!!! Outstanding job!
Definitely a capo! Could be higher than 2nd fret... Here Comes the Sun is 7th fret!
This song will forever connected to the images from Yellow Submarine, when they find the nowhere man himself and Ringo says, "We'll take you somewhere." I saw the film long before I got the album, which was a Christmas present from Santa. 😊😊😊😊😊
Awesome !!
