India's records at home in both ODIs and Test from 1991-1999 were phenomenal. Azhar captained Indian team for most part of this period and India was invincible at home. Hero Cup, Test and One day serieses against England, Australia , Westindies, South Africa Newzealand . We all won those series and Azhar played a crucial role with his captaincy skills as well as with his great batting in those wins.
By 1993 azhar was master of offside and onside both. He had an ability to find gaps in the most unusual field positions. He used a very light bat but with a gift of timing a mere tap could make the ball racing towards the boundry. His batting was a delight to watch, and when in form no bowler had any clue where to bowl him.

I have never seen any other batsman till date who has such elegant and wristy shot making skills and that too quickly. Mark Waugh and VVS Laxman will come close to him. He was an agreresive batsman with class. His batting technique was very artistic and looked like a painter creating a beautiful piece of art with his paint brush. Just look at this gem innings. A test century only from 96 balls that too against SA in their own backyard and against bowlers like Donald, Pollack and Klusner. Those wristy cover drives , On drives and flicks were just sublime , class apart. I feel very sad about the way his career ended.
The epitome of old school batsmanship…light bat, light feet, timing, and full follow through…beautiful
Most stylish player in cricket history. Sir Mohamed Azharuddin💐😊
What a great player. In fact he was an artist with the total package.
rahanbe better-he was a burden captain by choosing fools like ajaya jadeja, robin singh, agarkar- reasons india lost and now they pretend to be pseduo experts
This is when Lance Klusener decided that he will switch to being a batsman and ensure his place in the team 😉
what nonsense lmao...some of these fans sure like to make stupid stories to entertain themselves.
😅😅
He Scored Century & great support in all critical situations at the time.
best indian batsman to watch, his skill set was very high. the way he timed the ball with a very light bat shows his class
A TOTAL FLUKE

Vvs laxman was too great to watch.
Azar is the first batsman who completed 100 runs just 57 balls if I'm not wrong... That too without fielding limits
@King Slayer it is easy to say u wrong bro without mentioning right answer
Azhar is my all time favorite batsman. No one can match him. Not even Sachin
Undoubtedly..the best 👌👌👍👍🙏🙏
Azhar was the most wristy and magical batsmen in cricket along with Lara..almost Brazilian in terms of the flair he brought to batting..had his frailties against the short ball..but when in full flow none could match his elegance. He could have beaten all records if he had stayed focussed and had been mentored properly.....VVS is the only one who bats like him to some extent..Azza..the magician..miss your magic.
1:05 azhar special
Azhardiun very great batsman, he is Legend
His batting was treat for the eyes...in this innings no difference...
Azhar Vs kluesener was one for the ages, be it Eden or capetown...
What an innings it was...a great counter attacking innings and partnership with another great Sachin against that bowling line up...
Azhar's wrist work was something beyond imagination...
Missed the voice of charu Sharma...
Lance klusner kept giving sarcastic looks after being hit for a boundary, Azhar kept Klusner in his pocket lol....
Azhar singing to the beats...Azhar finished his century in no time...he loved Klusener...ja bowling seekh ke aa...as if he was batting in nets...Azhar in those days played every shot that today..a Kohli...Rohit...Dhoni...would play...
Azar reminds me W G Grace... The father of world cricket..
Plays like music with rethem... We love you bhai...
My childhood favourite batsman...I used to bat like him and later I realised that I couldn't bat like him,it was so difficult so I stopped that ..
Really marvelous batting capacity, we can't found any one batsman's like Mr. World class batsman Mr. Md. Bhai.
You are only one deserve for growing cricket. In this time please come and do the couching.
Mohd. Azharuddin was the headmaster (school principal) where Lance K went to school 🤩 What a graceful shots!
he played a gem in nz, when whole team struggled.
One of the best knocks against SA.
Today's cricketers won't even come close azar
Yes. True
King kohli
Yeah you r right......they won't come close in fixing
@@salilphansekar9557 did you see?,,,,,u just blindly followed what media was told

what an amazing stroke maker
absolute class 👏❤
I didn't see any classical and wristy batsman ever near to great great Mohammad Azaruddin sir. He wad world best batsman.
I love to watch Azhar's batting even today.... I am unable to digest cricket without him... My love for azar... My tears for allegations on him...
unique legend ... hats off
calling him a legend is an insult to the world legend so stop pretending-0azhar a joke a fluke and a burden. pollock donald not fearsome enough nor that great
Adil sharma.. r u a dog?
India's records at home in both ODIs and Test from 1991-1999 were phenomenal. Azhar captained Indian team for most part of this period and India was invincible at home. Hero Cup, Test and One day serieses against England, Australia , Westindies, South Africa Newzealand . We all won those series and Azhar played a crucial role with his captaincy skills as well as with his great batting in those wins.
Did Azhar hold anything against Lance Klusener? Goodness me...he was going ballistic against him...lol!
Raghavendra Gabbita even in kolkata .
other bowlers too fast, lol!
Special treat for our eyes
Yeah, klusner once broke his stumps into two pieces.
@@afzalahmed9103 which year ??
I born in 88. I heard this inning on radio .. test match ... People even not watch test on tv .. i was so crazy for cricket till 2017.
Azhar bhai stanz and walking style is just brilliant and out of the world
By 1993 azhar was master of offside and onside both. He had an ability to find gaps in the most unusual field positions. He used a very light bat but with a gift of timing a mere tap could make the ball racing towards the boundry. His batting was a delight to watch, and when in form no bowler had any clue where to bowl him.
Azhar hit 5 four in one over against Lance Klusner
Most stylish batsman ever in cricket history
In terms of elegance, style and technique no player can come close to azhar only Viv Richards is in this list
Kluesner figure at the end of first innings 12-01-88-1 :)
And first 2 overs were on the previous day, for 4 runs. So 84 runs off 10 overs!
Yes. Klusener’s night mare azhar. Destroyed his bowling.

His 50th test ton is something veyond words vs steyn and morkel
Sachin has class wristy play , innovative upper cuts sweeps late cut backfoot punch
Sachin absolutely the ever best who got 46 avg only asian and only batsman shared this with lara
A real artist. Such a treat to watch azhar bhai.... I respect him a lot...
I remember this SA tour. I was in school.. I used to cry, as the entire batting except sachin used to fail. In this Match, both sachin and Azhar showed thier class. What beautiful memories, it was such a delight to watch them both.
Azhar was nightmare for spinners. He had great skill and that elegance is feast for eyes.
90's memories were the best. From cricket to TV serials from advertisement to music
As far as cricket goes, I still remember the MRF of Sachin, Reebok of Azar, Wills of Dravid , BDM of Siddhu GM of south African players kokapura of srilankan and four square of Kumbale srinath Prasad. Miss old days
