Dude you’ve got the key to end world hunger. I know because yours and other vlogs here on YT have helped me to grow food in my tiny back garden over the last two seasons. It’s not that we haven’t planted before, but the how, why, where, what, and when to plant I’ve learnt in the past two seasons, have seen us eating primarily out of the garden and not the supermarket this summer. It is fantastic.

I love your enthusiasm for just being a farmer James, I can totally relate to that. We grow up in a society that wants to quantify every single thing into dollars and ounces, but in reality just nurturing plants and conjuring fruits into existence is something so magical it can't and shouldn't be quantified.

Damn, it is so hard to believe I found your channel 5 years ago and WOW, the work you have done is amazing. Simple, easy, a person can follow along and not break the bank at all; a NINTH of an acre and all of that. You are a wealth of information and your enthusiasm is real and enviable; at least to an old man ;). Side note: didn't know about grapes and dogs. My dogs won't touch a grape even if I drop it but beware if you drop a tomato; GONE!

Following up on the squirrel problem, I don’t think cats will do you much good. They are very good at catching mice, rats and birds but they seldom go after squirrels. Maybe if they were starving, they would try to find a squirrel nest but those are usually in the taller trees in the area where cats won’t go. I had an urban farm outside DC for ten years; lots of feral and domestic cats around and still tons of squirrels that always ate my hazelnuts. The only predators I ever saw go after them were hawks and that was only a few times. Keep us updated though. 🤙

Nice! At harvest time for canning we need wheelbarrows as the baskets won’t handle the weight😂. It is so satisfying to grow your own and to find those varieties that not only taste best, but do the best for you.
Taking too much foliage off tomatoes takes away the shade. Depends how you stake them and location. I know I tried that on a slicer and it was too hot for tomatoes.

You had the greatest energy ever. We fuckin' love it. Maybe it's from all the nutrients you get. From all those organic vegetables and fruits. Wow!!! so amazing. Keep inspiring us to plant. We envied you.

I love my garden. It's small, but I use every piece of land I have that gets sunlight including the front which is mostly concrete. I spend so much time in the garden. Actually I call them farms the back the front and the eastern side alley farm lol. But if I had your garden I probably wouldn't come inside much. What a great place to enjoy. People that have the land and ability to grow food but choose not to just don't know what they are missing. It's free food great tasting food, mental therapy, and just a great way to spend your time. What's up Tuck?

Hope your area did OK with that terrible remnant of Hurricane Ida that caused so much trouble in NJ/PA/NY and parts of New England. I do love seeing the large baskets full of joy! Thanks for teaching us the great tips.
